Disgusted how we were treated by security because of a mistake on their part. My parents couldn't walk in the heat anymore and had went into the new gift shop/restaurant to rest and get something to drink. No one said they needed a photo taken to re-enter the park. The security at the door told them to just walk through these doors to get back into the park. No signs anywhere about re entry photos. When they got to the gate with their tickets, they were denied re-entry. My parents would've complied but security said it was fine and to go out the doors and back in. Do better and have a better system. We spent a lot of money on a family trip. We had photos proving we were in there all morning and it was an honest mistake, thinking they can shop and eat at the restaurant INSIDE THE PARK. Not sure why the gift shop would be an exit. There was no one taking photos. Usually theres a line that you would get stamped. We didn't see any signs for a separate line. One guard actually kept apologizing that they were doing this to us. I came here with a group of friends and we did end up spending a lot of money. Parking itself is about $25. We managed to grab their BOGO ticket offer online so each ticket was about $50 a person. Food was really pricey at the park. A plain Nathan's hotdog was $7, but I guess that's expected. Our ticket covered both the amusement park and the waterpark, which is called The Boardwalk. We also ended up getting the Fast Pass for the amusement park, which was an extra $83. Although quite expensive, I do believe it's necessary because the lines for all these rides were extremely long and we came here on a Monday in June (before most schools end). The waterpark is a bit smaller with only a few rides, but it's mostly geared towards younger kids. read more

The kids had an absolute blast, which in itself is cool. The wait for our first roller coaster was over an hour, which seemed excessive since the park wasn't that full on our visit. Thank goodness, the rest of the rides were more reasonable in this regard. The park maps and navigation system could've been more helpful. Our kids wandered around looking for this ride or that, occasionally being frustrated by the lack of clear signage. The parking shuttles made a terrible first impression, with diesel exhaust enveloping all the riders the entire ride to the amusement park and back, You'd think a family-themed attraction would put some kind of emissions-reducing technology on their vehicles! The overpowering smell was nauseating, so of course now I think of that when I smell chocolate. (Hoping that passes quickly!) The refillable drink cup ($23.99) seems like a good idea, except for the fact that really taking advantage of that would cause a conflict when it came to waiting on lines. (Do I head to the restroom or try to hold it?) The overpriced food was disappointing. Overall, it was a fun day. read more

Extremely underrated and overshadowed by Six Flags, Disney and the countless other seemingly more "popular" amusement parks, Hersheypark and Chocolate World should be on your list of must visit theme parks! There are plenty of rides for the young kids, plenty of roller coasters for the older kids, a big waterpark for both and plenty of fun to go around for all here. I've been to Hersheypark a few times in my much, much younger years, but I definitely saw it from a whole new perspective as a parent my last go around. We bought a 2 day pass to the park (1 day for water play and 1 day to go on all of the dry rides) and our kids had an absolute blasssst - so much so that they knocked out half way through each day, which thankfully gave us some reprieve through this deceptively large park. Even though we came on a Thursday and Friday, the park was pacccccked like a weekend because it was the summer after all. I won't go into detail about every single ride, but, like I said earlier, there are way more rides here than I remember when I visited in the past - probably because I put more focus on the kiddie rides this time around. As you can imagine, there is a chocolate theme all around the park and if you're into taking pictures with Hershey characters (e.g. Hershey Kiss, Reeses, Jolly Rancher) they come out during certain parts of the day, so definitely look out for them. As for food, there are many food options inside, but, to no one's surprise, most do revolve around fast food (e.g. burgers, chicken tenders, fries) - which I'm sure your kids will love. If you're looking to save a few bucks, I do highly recommend getting the single meal dining pass, as it typically makes your meal of an entree + side + drink a little bit less expensive. HOWEVER, although the rules state that you cannot bring in any open bottled beverages, security never opened any of our soft-sided cooler bags to check on either day we went. Although it's no Disney in sheer space and size, it can still be exhausting trekking around the park with your kids here, especially on a hot, summer day, so be prepared. AND, just a note, if rides are closed for more than 1 hour (which happened on both days we were there), you can go to Guest Services by the entrance and redeem a return voucher for any day within the calendar year! read more

Had a blast today at Hersheypark! The amusement park is filled with lots of fun rides and attractions (ie: rollercoasters, waterpark, arcades, zoo). It also includes lots of gift shops with plenty of souvenirs, Hershey themed candies, and a unique Hershey Chocolate Tour. In addition, there are many places you can eat in the park, from hot food to desserts! Some important points to mention: - Try to wait for a ticket promotion/discount; I got a BOGO free ticket deal which was great - I'd recommend buying parking online because it's cheaper than buying it in person - Buying the photo pass/album is worth it because you'll get all the rollercoaster and park op pictures on your phone - The chocolate food tour photo is not included in the photo pass/album package; it is a separate cost which was upsetting - The park allows outside food and drinks - The lockers are not transferable meaning: the station you rent a locker at is the only locker station you can access to place your belongings in, despite the other lockers placed throughout the park! That part really frustrated me because you can only access your items in a certain part of the park The staff was also very friendly and helpful! Overall, I had an exhilarating and fun time at Hersheypark! It is a great amusement park that is kid, adult, and family oriented. Awesome park!! Went on a Monday stayed 11-9p (waited at the gate from 1030ish due to NOT having early season pass access) the longest wait was 30 minutes and didn't need a fast track pass, but we HUSTLE through the park. Strictly stuck to the adult/family rides and was able to complete 15 roller coasters and rides. Food was decent price ($~50 for 2 ppl for two meals/sides for the day). You can get FREE water from drink stations without having to pay for drinks or a cup **Didn't visit the water park or zoo. WP was CROWDED with kids, not my preference, so I stayed away. ZooAmerica was strictly an aerial view with the monorail and skyline ride as I've seen all these animals before and wanted a strict park experience Beautifully depicted statue of Milton Hershey in the beginning of the park. Visited Hershey Park after watching documentaries of how he truly changed the world of chocolate . The Christmas decor was so nicely placed throughout the park and the hot chocolate was so delicious! We came during the week before they started their holiday season and right after they ended their Halloween season, so it led to many closed rides...in fact there were only a handful of rides open and many closed including obviously the water rides. Other than that, we had a good time and were there from opening to closing. The lines weren't too bad, again because we were there during an off season. We brought our 3 and 5 year old kids to Hershey Park on a summer weekend (opens at 10 am all summer). There was a drizzle to light rain the entire first day. The second day was cloudy but with very little rain. Here are my tips: 1. The phone app is good for a map and just that. It has incorrect wait times and lists rides as closed that are actually open, and lists rides as open that are actually closed. 2. Hershey Park is great for kids of this age group. There are kiddy rides all throughout the park, and if you go around the park and ride each kiddy ride once, eat lunch, watch the seal show, and play in the arcade, it'll take the whole day. 3. On a drizzly day, Hershey Park is excellent. The park took a much longer time to fill up, which meant that you could go on rides like the Great Bear near midday with little to no wait. Of course none of the coasters are covered, but a lot of the kiddy rides are. No rides were closed because of the rain (but if there is more rain or thunder then things will close). 4. On a cloudy day, Hershey Park fills up quickly. Candymonium is outside of the early access area so you do not need a season pass or stay in a Hershey hotel to ride it. Get there at 9 am and ride it to your heart's content before 10 am. The other big, popular rides like Skyrush and Reese's Cupfusion open at 10 am. Ride them to your heart's content before 11 am. Or pay more for the fast pass. 5. The rides appropriate for little kids never had really long lines, except for the Cocoa Cruiser (the mini kid's coaster), the Twin Turnpike (where kids get the thrill of driving a car) and Reese's Cupfusion (where you can shoot a laser gun at targets). 6. The arcade deeper in the park has better and a larger variety of games. 7. The food at the food court is awful. The grilled chicken in the chicken sandwich was literally too tough to bite through. But they also have a Subway, a Chick-fil-A, a Nathan's, and some other third party vendors throughout the park. 8. The zoo is tiny. They have bears, mountain lions, bobcats, wolves, an armadillo, and otter and a bald eagle. I think I just named all of them (just kidding, but it feels like it). Takes less than an hour to walk through the whole thing. But it's cute and fun for the kids, and perfect to walk through when all of the rides have long lines. Enjoy! read more

I've been coming here for about 20 years and have always had a blast. This year I was offered a great deal for my girlfriend and I to get season passes, which I ended up purchasing for the first time ever and it was well worth it. Lots of room for finesse to save money such as free parking for 2 hours at chocolate world (although season passholders get free parking regardless), free 2.2 hour lockers near certain rides etc. My accessibility pass really helps and allows me to enjoy every ride without compromising my comfortability. Every employee I've encountered has been very helpful and respectful. Food is average amusement park price and quality, I usually eat before or pack a lunch. Although I did take advantage of the $20 lifetime $6 kettle corn refills at one of the stands, great investment there. The boardwalk is cool, I mainly enjoy the wavepool and lazy river but there's a couple adult appropriate slides. One complaint is the cash to card machines have been down for weeks but it's not the end of the world. I recommend to all amusement park lovers and their friends who should be converted. read more

Look ok, it's no Disneyland. It's also way better than a Six Flags. It's an enjoyable park that is easy to navigate. There are lots of ride options for all thrill or scared levels. Tip: Definitely download the app! We had a fast pass so we didn't wait long but majority of the lines weren't too bad. Note this is in April. The grounds were clean and the employees were super nice. They ensure you are safely in your ride seat before taking off. With good though too because these are some of the fastest coasters around. Food was reasonable but not on the top of my list. Ample parking and a tram if you parked too far. We ended up staying the whole day because of how big the park is. read more

Six of us paid upward of $300+ to find out that with the exclusion of the Shak-a-Lucious Laff Trak, no roller coasters were running, due to "cold weather." (It was 32F. Not cold and no precipitation.). Hershey should have informed us that contrary to their advertising, the coasters would not be running. They weren't even running the Ferris Wheel. Love the Hershey story and the park will definitely keep everyone busy till they drop. Love the shows but the seating in the theater is flat. Can't see over people. read more

Super disappointed with my most recent visit to Hershey park :( We arrived shortly after the park opened. The lines were confusing and disoriented. Once we got closer they became clear, and did not take too long. One problem was the app was not reliable at all. The wait times were incorrect. Our first ride said it had a wait time of around 60 minutes. We waited three hours for what felt like a mere two seconds. Everything was overpriced (which was expected) but poor quality. My chicken tenders were $15 for 4ish pieces. They were dry and slightly cold, this wait was around 30 minutes. We stood in line for our second roller coaster at the great bear. After 40 minutes of waiting a bunch of people started leaving as they shut the ride down and decided not to tell anyone. Overall we were there open to close and were only able to ride two rides. Very sad and disappointing. Also so many people buy/use fast pass which makes the lines so much longer. read more

We had an awesome time here at Hershey Park. We haven't been here In almost 10 years, they have really built up and still building a new section that was under construction. They have so many Roller Coasters which are my favorite ride to ride. My Son and I tried to ride all of them, he is my riding partner. We got through most of them until I had to tap out. My body and equilibrium was shot!! It's rides for everyone big or small and plenty of places to eat. They also have a huge Candy and Souvenir Store where you can buy all your favorite Chocolates and more. They have several dessert stores and you can take a tour of Chocolate World to see the history of Hershey Park. This is a really nice Amusement Park, I highly recommend. read more

I love Hershey Park as I take my family every year for the past 5-7 years straight. I am able to get group tickets for a minimum of 20 tickets or more which is a true savings. I also purchase the parking pass with was $20 in advance and $25 at the door which has went up from 2022 to 2023. There is a tram that drops you right at the front door of the park including Chocolate World. The tram runs all day back and forth. The front entrance has been remodeled which is nice however, I haven't had time to truly explore as of yet. I was able to bring in two bottles of water which was a cost savings for drinking so many soft drinks throughout the day. The sovereign cups have went up to about $20 per cup and the drink fill up stations allows you to scan with a few seconds to get your beverage.....so please get your ice first as the timer starts as soon as you scan the barcode on the cup. On hot days, Of course the water park is completely plum full with hardly any where to sit to park your belongings. I try to take off of work and plan for mid week days which allows for a better experience with less crowds. Also, The water park is towards the back of park so be prepared to walk. The cons about the park~ The park closes early 8pm which I feel a later closing time will worked so much better. Chocolate World closes at the same time as the park which it use to stay open 1 hour after the park closed which allows time to explore the activities inside. A lot of the kiddie rides did not have attendants to operate which they were closed. I will be returning next summer during the week day as I did not get a chance to get on their newest ride. read more

Visited Hershey with someone who never rode a rollercoaster. Parking: There are no clear parking instructions for handicap parking, so we had to walk pretty far only to get to the front entrance and saw a few handicap parking spots. The day was awesome! There weren't many people in the park, so the lines were short. Candymoniun was the first Rollercoaster we rode and OMG!!! It was awesome!! That 216-foot drop was crazy!!!!! I hadn't rode a coaster in over 20 years, but this brought me back to the excitement!!! We rode the oldest coazter at Hershey Park, the comet, and it was a little jerky! It shook my ponytail loose!! Lol, I had to hold that and my neck for the remainder of the ride. If you're seasoned and / or have hack problems, DO NOT ride!! The games were old school and bright back memories. They have a section for the smaller children and activities like face painting. This is definitely a place to bring your family. Hershey Park offers food and drink packages, and some offerings are unlimited. I would purchase that if you're coming with a family because it could get pricey. The food offered were burgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken strips, and pizza. The price and portion didn't add up. It wasn't that good. The lemonade wasn't bad. Suggestion: Pre purchase online your food, drink, and parking. It's so convenient. Overall, the day was good, and I would go back. I hope you have a pleasant experience. read more

Amusement park, tickets you can buy online and get a discount for that along with parking. Good thing is you don't need to select dates/times on general tickets but you do need add-ons to select times (if you want fast track, etc.). Opens at 10a or earlier, you get an hour earlier if you stay at the Hershey Hotel. The night closure is 9p or later depending on the day - check the schedules. They have night tickets only, full-day, two-day, weekday (M-Th summer) and usually don't need to select dates (they're good until end of summer, etc.). Various food packages, too. Rides have varying height requirements. All the best rides (fastest/looping/etc.) require you to be Twizzler height (54-60") or Jolly Rancher (60"+). If you're shorter, Hershey's (48-54"), Reese (42-48), Kisses (36-42) or Miniatures (shorter than 36"). There are whole water park sections and areas you can change into swimsuits and backpack storage all over. Security wasn't bad coming in, line moved at a good clip. Also you get free access to the ZooAmerica animal exhibits. Clean but every once in a while you had people smoking which is not allowed but didn't see any of the staff stop it. Lots of carnival-like games, but the kiosks have a $20 minimum. Pro tip: The lady at the skee ball game by Comet rollercoaster can do $5 cards. Snack and food restaurants like the Chick-fil-A or Nathans or Dippin' Dots, plus generic ones, too. Bumper cars, a back-and-forth looped skyview tram and monorail (single loop) were easier for the little kids and adults to relax. Small versions of many of the rides, too. Rollercoasters vary, I only was able to try a couple, but ride wait times were between 30-45min mostly for the popular ones during the day. Only 10min at the start of the day. Comet was faster and more entertaining than I though it'd be, and smooth for a wooden coaster. Laff Trakk is completely indoors, so much smoother than the outdoor ones and similar to Disney-like (albeit the story isn't as good). Wild Mouse is tough on the neck and back, so better for the kids as it jerks back and forth like a mouse on a track. Speaking of fast track - is it worth it? I don't think for an extra $80-150+ a person / day, either of the options (skip once a day per ride or unlimited) made sense. None of the rides for the most part had separate lines for fast track, it just dumped you into the middle to mid-front part of the lines and still had to wait- lots of complaints at Laff Trakk for instance from the couple behind us with the wristbands and they still had to wait 20-50min a ride... maybe if it was only an extra $25-40 a person? Exit takes you through the Hershey store, of course. Air conditioned so you feel better there than the rest of the park, though they do have water fans and sprinklers all over the park, and reasonable trees and shade here and there. Parking lot was big, but free-for-all parking (not super directed), and a tram that takes you to the front and stops at various parts of the lot. Walk isn't bad though, and Chocolate World is right in the front, too. Overall entertaining for a day but I'm not sure I'd do more than a day of this and a day of the Chocolate World (really 2-3hr there). read more

First time back art Hershey in years and had a great time! Barring the $4.50 bottles of water everything was great. We went on a Sunday so we didnt need the fast pass, didnt wait more than 10 minutes to get on any ride. Totally made up for the $35 dollar parking so we broke about even there. There were enough rides for us to spend about 5 hours in the park. Bonus points for the concert venue being attached we say Janet and Nelly there the night before so got a chance to scope out parking for the day after. Horrible visit last night to Hershey Park. I am a Giant Pass holder. Our passes would not scan from the app. A very kind security guard escorted us to guest services. A different security guard came over and rudely talked down to the security guard that escorted us for leaving his assigned area and removed us from line. We were told to go stand in a different line and wait. We waited for over 45 minutes for help in the second line. The Lady that helped us there was sensational and I cannot enough wonderful things about her. Finally after waiting in line for over 90 minutes we are in the park. We are having a great time until we go to the Wildcat. We are using our one fast pass that is included with our Giant pass to ride our favorite ride. We start to chat with some people in the other line while we were waiting. People from farther ahead are walking out of the line. The other line moved forward and so did ours. Then the other line moved again and again. More people from the fast pass line are walking out of line. I begin to notice that our line is not moving except when people ahead leave the line. We have now been in line close to an hour and the nice people we were chatting with earlier are in line again. They are in line a second time before we have been in once. Their line is moving continuously. Finally we are close enough to see the problem. The young lady manning the line is not letting the fast pass line through. I can see people from the other line go through in giant groups while no one from our side goes through. We waited for close to 90 minutes in the fast pass line and did not yet ride the wild cat. We leave the line and I angrily walk up the exit line. I wait to speak to the girl running the line. She says she is doing her best, she must alternate the lines. I say you are not letting the one line move at all. She rolls her eyes and turns away. She continues to let the other line move through. She lets two people from the fast pass line enter the attraction, the line erupts with cheering. I try to say more but she ignores me. I leave, there is no use in talking when you are being ignored. We try leave and try to ride the candymonium. The ride is closed, the rides stop operating at 10. we waisted close to two hours in line. 3 1/2 hours waisted in your park. We did not get to enter all of the haunted houses. I bought fast passes for those too. Our time was stolen. I have had season passes for over 5 years. I do not see myself getting them again. We had a truly awful and expensive experience. There is so much more to this horrible night but i am tired of typing. read more
