We came on a Sunday during end of June. Online parking is $25. On site is $40. So buy online. Pro: -3 in 1: admission includes zoo, amusement park and waterpark. Zoo was ok but will skip next time. - free shuttle to take you to parking lot up to one hour after closing. - lots of restrooms and trash cans. - very sufficient staff despite they may not be very well trained. - at the chocolate world free ride, it offers moving platform and at least 5 staff running it. It was very efficient. Long was long but kept moving. Good job! - we bought tickets at kids' price promotion, $49.99 plus tax online. Good value. - Great sea lion and seal show. Trainer and narrator were both very knowledgeable. Cons: - long line!! Popular rides are easily 60-90 min wait. Monorail was 60 min ( only one train operating). A water ride was 60 min. Things improved after 6 pm when park closes at 10 pm. - Food is ridiculously expensive. $4.50 for water. $11 hot dog. $17 brisket sandwich. $ 6.5 a fountain drink. $10 for 6 inches subway sandwich. $4.65 for a bottle os soda. $5 Cheetos. Overall, not sure will return or not. Too much standing on line.

The park keeps getting better. It could use lite shade and maybe something to watch while waiting in the lines, but we got lucky most of the time with the lines.

Amazing time at the park. This was my first roller coaster in more than 25 years. Lost 100 lbs so now I fit. Lol

Hershey park is worth the road trip to PA! I feel like it's such a magical and cute place that is entertaining for the whole family no matter how you enjoy parks! I also appreciated how well maintained & clean it was! The Turkey Hill ice cream that they serve here is so yummy & it's not a small serving either! Also enjoyed a delicious BBQ sandwich with some crunchy fries! They have cute little chocolate mascots roaming the park! I loved the wooden coaster & the Ferris Wheel! There's even a little zoo inside the park. I visited in late spring & it felt too cold to visit the water park so I can't speak to that side of the park! Will definitely visit this park again!

Hersheypark is an amazing amusement park! I went on a Monday and the lines were not bad at all! Candymonium and Great Bear were my favorite rides! The waterpark was also large but the slides had long lines. Overall great experience!

To my knowledge there's no other Chocolate related Theme Park anywhere else as awesome as Hershey Park is, where the good times are as abundant as the Dentist visits you'll need when you return home, Lol. [Just kidding] tell the kids to brush their teeth and you should be fine. Traditionally the annual Halloween Season at the park offers hair raising thrills and blood curdling frights in their one-of-a-kind immersive haunted experience which runs for eight weeks from September 12th to November 2nd. This is probably one of the best times to plan a trip here in my humble opinion. Anyway, you know you're somewhere special when the entire town is named after this super famous brand of Chocolate. It's fun, it's flavorful, it's Hershey baby!! Where Fun and Chocolate Shake Hands!!

I am not a chocolate fan whatsoever. Luckily, my displeasure for chocolate does not carry over to chocolate and candy themed rides. Hershey has the cute little kid rides as well as a decent selection of more intense roller coasters. I appreciate the variety as my stomach does not do well with too many coasters normally yet I'm able to enjoy most of this park. There are plenty of other games to explore. There are more food options than just candy and chocolate. It is fairly easy to navigate. Finally, admission includes access to ZooAmerica if you need a ride break. Overall, I find Hersheypark to be a good value in the theme park world and would recommend a visit!

I visited Hersheypark three different times this year summer, Hersheypark in the Dark, and Christmas Candylane and getting to experience the park in all three seasons gave me a genuinely well-rounded perspective. If you're trying to decide when to go, what to expect, or whether the season passes are worth it, here's the real scoop. Summer at Hersheypark Summer at Hersheypark is classic: bright flowers, tons of ride options, and that unmistakable amusement-park energy. Surprisingly, on the day we went in August, crowds weren't overwhelming. Ride wait times were totally manageable, and the park felt clean, organized, and well-staffed which isn't always the case at large theme parks. Hersheypark in the Dark (Fall / Halloween Season) This was honestly one of my favorite visits. The Halloween decorations were great, it wasn't overcrowded at all, and the weather made it perfect for walking around. We went on (what I believe was) opening night and barely waited for anything. If you hate shoulder-to-shoulder park days, this is the sweet spot. Christmas Candylane / Winter Visit We stopped by after brunch just to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere and walk off the food. Even though the parking lot looked packed, the park itself didn't feel crowded. No major wait times from what we saw. It was in the 30s outside but still totally doable. The decorations are cozy and festive, and even if you don't ride anything, it's worth exploring. What You Should Know Before You Go Here's the honest, practical summary I wish more reviews offered: * Season passes (King Size Pass) are worth it. Free parking + discounts + year-round access. Major savings. * Food is pricey...this is definitely a "bring extra cash or pack a cooler" kind of park. * Choose your day wisely, off-peak days make the entire experience dramatically better. * The park is clean, well-maintained but it's massive. * Ride wait times vary hugely by season summer weekends = long waits, fall + winter weekdays = bliss. Final Verdict After three visits in three different seasons, Hersheypark continues to be a fun, family-friendly, couple-friendly, and tourist-friendly park. If you plan your timing right, avoid peak Saturdays, and take advantage of the season pass perks, it's absolutely worth coming back throughout the year. Whether you're here for roller coasters, food, holiday events, or just wandering around with a hot chocolate, Hersheypark delivers without the nightmare-level crowds you see at other major parks. Highly recommend visiting on off-peak days and sampling multiple seasons if you can.

So, here's the scoop: in 2025, Hersheypark's Dark Nights ran Friday through Sunday, and every ticket included all haunted houses, rides, and coasters. A 1-day Halloween ticket ran a whopping $54.99, but we saved a few bucks with the After Dark tickets for $45.99 each. We went on a Friday night the week before Halloween -- spooky season perfection, right? Well... kinda. Let's start with the sticker shock. What I didn't realize when buying those $45.99 tickets (for two people, so just shy of $100) was that parking isn't included. On Hersheypark's own property. The parking attendant hit us with a $35 charge, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I nearly had a full-blown stroke handing over my credit card. I guess nothing says "boo" quite like surprise fees. Once inside, we were met with big crowds (expected), but not nearly enough Halloween flair (unexpected). Yes, there were hay bales and pumpkins sprinkled throughout, but the park felt like it gave up on the spooky ambiance once the sun went down -- barely any themed lighting in most areas. The same could be said for the maps. Only about half of the wayfinding maps had been updated for the Halloween event, so we spent a lot of time squinting at general Hersheypark maps, trying to figure out where the haunted houses actually were. (Spoiler: not easy in the dark.) We did manage to stumble into all four Scare Zones, where park staff in creepy costumes jumped out from behind bushes, slid across the ground toward you, and generally made it their mission to test your reflexes. It was fun, chaotic, and good for a few laughs and screams. We also found two of the five haunted houses -- Twisted Carnevil and Haunted Coal Mine -- and both were well done, with Haunted Coal Mine taking the gold medal for atmosphere and creativity. As for the other three houses... we assume they existed somewhere in the darkness, but we sure didn't find them. Toward the end of the night, we hopped on The Comet -- a childhood favorite -- and it was just as nostalgic and rickety (in the best way) as ever. That ride never disappoints. Next up: Treatville, the trick-or-treat trail. Kids were handed candy bags at the entrance, but adults? Not so much. I love candy and Halloween fun as much as the next person (and at $45.99 a ticket, I'll happily take some Reese's for my efforts), so I joined in anyway. Some workers laughed and handed me candy; others rolled their eyes like I was single-handedly depleting Hershey's inventory. Lighten up, folks -- it's Halloween, not a corporate inventory audit. The trail itself was cute, with photo ops and themed décor, but the "adults-optional candy" vibe was a bit of a bummer. Before we left, we stopped at Berks Dogs of Doom for a sweet treat -- the Red Velvet Cookies & Scream brownies and a Dragon Fruit Lemonade (complete with a little plastic syringe of dragon fruit nectar to inject into your drink). It was $22.23 for the two items -- steep, but actually pretty tasty and a fun way to end the night. Overall? We had a good time for a few hours, took in the atmosphere, and got our Halloween fix. But will we be back next year to drop another $150 on tickets, parking, and snacks? Nope. Once was enough. Fun to experience? Absolutely. Worth the price tag? No thanks. Next year, I'll save the $150, buy a bag of Reese's, turn off the lights, and let my own dark night begin!

Last Minute RoadTrip to Hershey Park -- just a few hours away A day at the amusement park seemed like good reason for a roadtrip. They have a large amount of death defying roller coasters. If you are a fan of coasters this is totally the right place for you. There was a lot of hills, and walking, so bring your walking shoes. For the adults, they have several different types of adult beverages. We had a frozen malt drink, they were cold and tasty with few flavors but we weren't crazy about the aftertaste. Before we went back home, we checked out the gift shop. For stuff animals, keychains and cups the prices were very reasonable. The sweatshirt cost around $40ish and above. We did visit the full fledged restaurant the Chocolatier and they had delicious drinks offering all the Hershey flavors, even jolly rancher drinks. We thought about getting dinner but they were very busy with a Luke Bryant Concert that night. I think I'll need a return trip, maybe late Summer or early Fall.

I wasn't sure at first but now I'm a fan. This is a pretty old-school park. There is no admission; instead, you buy ticket books at the park and "pay" using tickets. Many of the rides--at least the kid's rides--are $2.50 per ride. And apparently the tickets never expire; the people we visited with have used a decades-old leftover ticket book and it was accepted. It was really easy to use the tickets, which are in the book in $1 and 50-cent denominations. In addition to no entrance fee, they have free parking. I honestly don't know where I've been in a long time that has free parking; I don't even think the county fair in my hometown offers free parking anymore. They have acres of it but we didn't have to park too far away, perhaps because we got there a few minutes before the park opened. They have lots of disabled parking spots and there's also a tram with several tram stops. Inside the park, I saw several baby changing/nursing mothers stations. The rides are lots of fun. I mentioned before that they have kid's rides, but they in fact have an entire kiddie *section*. There are over a dozen rides that are only for kids, and have maximum height limits. We spent our time in this section of the park almost exclusively. The girls loved it, and so did I! It was so much fun to see them having a blast on these rides all by themselves. We spent a good chunk of our day here--we were there for 6 or 7 hours, I think--and still we missed a few. I'm bummed that we missed some but that just gives us something to look forward to next time we visit, which I hope is before my daughter hits the height limit for some of the rides since she's a tall kiddo. I'm not sure how it usually is, but we may have just come at the right time. We were here on a Saturday and our friends were surprised; usually they come on weekdays to avoid crowds, but it was not bad at all. It only took us 5 minutes or so in line to get ticket books. The upside to coming on a weekend, too, was that there were rides operating that aren't always open when they've come during the week. Whatever was happening on this day (which was Juneteenth weekend, so I expected it to be packed!), our kids were able to ride at least 5-6 rides within the first hour at the park and there were only a couple times the entire day where we had to wait in line to enter a ride--and even then, it was waiting in line for one ride to finish and then we got the kids on the next one. The longest line we waited on all day was to get some fries! Speaking of food, although we didn't get much, what we did get was great. We got the aforementioned fries, which they cut and cook right there. My friend's mom always gets ice cream when they visit, specifically the waffle sandwich, which I also got and it was so good I wish that other ice cream places did warm waffles instead of waffle cones. We got some cotton candy, and they had some very delicious frozen iced tea (I added peach flavor which was really good, and it was quite refreshing). There's several stores around where you can pick up souvenirs, too. We stopped at the apparel shop and got some t-shirts and sweatshirts. At the Christmas shop at the North Pole, we wandered around to check out the ornaments and Christmas decor. There was another shop that in all the times our friends have been here they said they didn't remember ever stopping at. They have postcards, so make sure to pick up some postcard stamps somewhere! I had so much fun and can't wait to return to Knoebels. I bought two $50 ticket books and we used exactly one book, so we're already ahead on our next visit. Perhaps the cutest ride in the park is the Pony Carts, which don't have real ponies but the kids ride in what looks like horse drawn carriages as though they're the cart driver. I did enjoy going on the Skloosh, which I went on with my daughter; even though she's only two she's a daredevil and loves a good water ride as long as she doesn't get splashed in the eyes too much. I only wish we'd been able to go on the other water ride! But I didn't actually miss or mind not going on rides; it was a wonderful day just watching the little ones in their joy and excitement.

Many of the employees have been kind, welcoming, and patient, which is why it disappoints me to have to write this review. Unfortunately, this is the second year I've experienced what I believe was discriminatory treatment toward my Black and Brown family, including my autistic children. This isn't something I'm saying because I was upset in the moment. These experiences were serious enough that I felt obligated to report them to Guest Services. We visited on July 9, 2026. My children are autistic and were wearing Knoebels' accessibility wristbands. We understand how the program works because we've visited before. The wristband allows individuals who cannot tolerate long waits to board through the designated accessible entrance according to the park's accessibility procedures. The first incident occurred at the Satellite ride. There were only two children waiting and virtually no line. My son went to the accessible entrance with his wristband, and the ride operator refused to let him board. I explained that he was autistic and showed his accessibility wristband. The operator acknowledged that he knew what the wristband was for, but still told my son to go wait at the regular entrance while allowing other children to board first. My son became increasingly distressed, repeatedly asking why he couldn't ride. Guest Services later told me that the operator had not followed the accessibility policy correctly and said they would report the incident to a supervisor. The second incident happened at the Looper. Three male ride operators were working that attraction. My son and nephew absolutely love this ride. They are polite, well-behaved boys, but like many autistic children, they ask a lot of questions and become excited about rides they enjoy. The park was not crowded, and there were little to no lines. I watched from a nearby bench as the boys rode several times. As time went on, I noticed the operators becoming visibly irritated whenever the boys returned. Eventually, the operators told them they had to wait 30 minutes before riding again. I understood that this applies when using the accessibility entrance, so I instructed the boys to simply enter through the regular queue instead, which only had a few children waiting. When they walked to the entrance, the situation escalated. One operator, Carl, scolded my nephew for going under a bar instead of walking around it, even though the children immediately ahead of him had done the exact same thing. When I respectfully pointed this out, Carl responded, "Well, I didn't see them, and stop shouting at me." I was not shouting. Another operator, Mark, then began yelling at me, telling me that if I had a problem, I should go to Guest Services. My sister became upset because of the way he was speaking to me. When my husband came over, Mark stated that he "yells at children all day long" and that our children were no different. I found that statement especially concerning given that he knew they were autistic. No employee should be yelling at children, regardless of disability. Supervisors eventually came over, but instead of addressing the employees' behavior, they largely defended it. One operator also insisted the boys had to wait another 30 minutes before riding again, despite the fact that they had unlimited ride wristbands and were now entering through the regular queue, where there was almost no wait. I asked why they hadn't simply told the boys they were welcome to use the regular entrance if they wanted to ride again. There was no response. I want to be clear that not every employee at Knoebels treated us this way. In fact, many staff members throughout the park were wonderful, patient, and kind to my family. However, these interactions left us feeling singled out, dismissed, and treated differently. Whether it was because of our race, our children's disabilities, or a combination of both, it was deeply upsetting. I sincerely hope Knoebels takes these concerns seriously by providing additional training on disability accommodations, respectful communication with families, and ensuring that all guests are treated equally and with dignity. We love this park and want to continue making memories here, but no family should leave feeling the way we did.

This spot is kids paradise. I planned most of our day here and my kids still didn't want to leave…read more I typically saw this spot whenever I rode the Strasburg Railroad. We typically would do their Christmas Train, and rarely got back to Lancaster in the warmer months. As soon as I planned my latest summer trip, I knew it had to be on the itinerary. This place has it all from gigantic slides to gold mining sluice areas to a mini kids village that mine couldn't get enough of from the mini vet office to the drive in theater. It was really impressive. From here, you can make your way up the hill where there is a restaurant, a coffee kiosk with a delicious coconut water cold brew (wild!), and plenty of shaded sections with swinging chairs. You'll find paintball, basketball, skee ball, a pedal cart for the family, launching devices. I mean, there is a lot! The place is large so it never felt overly crowded. Come with water bottles. Even with the shaded sections it gets hot. They have water fountains by the bathrooms.

We spent hours at the farm, and could have stayed even longer. My kids loved everything from the large corn maze to the swings to the games to the playground equipment to the large sandbox filled with corn. My kids were 4 and 6 during our visit, but the farm can easily accommodate older or younger. Two notes; 1. The bathrooms in the back of the farm are new & super clean. 2. Don't feel pressure to purchase the add ones (apple chucking and paintball) - those sections are towards the back of the farm and easily avoidable. There was a variety of food options - a few standard theme park options along with specialty options like homemade ice cream.

You can spend the whole day here doing all of the interactive activities and shows. Honestly, I think they're pretty overpriced and you would be better off spending your time at the Hershey Story museum downtown. However, I think it's a must do if you visit the park. You can go on the free ride about how chocolate is made- and then you get a free sample at the end! They have food options but I think they're pretty overpriced. I would only go if you're on a bus trip and don't have any other options. The gift shop is massive and has different merchandise than the park. They also have deals on certain chocolate items and sometimes have new products as well. The check out lines can get long but move very quickly. There is also a self checkout line than can be hard to find but is very quick. You have to stop by if you're visiting Hersheypark- don't miss it!

We purchased the key chain. Parking is free. I am glad I finally had a chance to experience this and would not hesitate to return. Just keep in mind if you're traveling in the warm weather. You have to worry about the chocolate melting. We traveled during the springtime so our chocolate made it safely home. Still in good condition.
