You can pump up the brakes to stop but someone at Scott Peterson Motors of Belle Fourche let my wife drive away without saying a word. I am furious. I discovered later that evening that it was not a diesel but rather a gas engine and it required premium gas. Gas mileage was also much less (more than 15mpg) than what a diesel engine would get. The owner of Independent Auto would not give my full money back the next morning, and insisted he get a $200 "inconvenience fee" (what about all my inconvenience and gas money spent driving back and forth over there!). The office help was extremely rude that morning and would not let me take a photo of my bill of sale--told me I should have already did that. They may have good used car prices but "buyer beware".

We stopped in here to get a trailer tire replaced. After they replaced the tire on our spare rim,…read morethey went out to put it back on the trailer. But me being me, I'd given them the beat-up spare to replace, because I was going to swap it out with a tire that had a slow leak. The young man looked at my slow-leaking tire, turned to me and said "It's probably the valve stem. Those high-pressure valve stems suck. Pull it around back and I'll see what I can do." We pulled it around back, and a couple of squirts with soapy water confirmed it was the valve stem that was the problem. It took all of ten minutes for him to pull the tire off, replace the stem, and slap it back on the trailer. So I now have two good tires on the trailer, plus a brand new spare, all at a good price, and all done within half an hour on a Saturday. Holy moly people. This place rocks.
