Dawn and Devante were absolutely wonderful to deal with. They were both extremely professional over the phone before I booked my rental. Dawn ended up being the one to do all the paperwork and details when I came in to get the car. She was great from beginning to end. Even when I noticed that the rental was at half gas tank, I went back in to tell Dawn and she said "No problem, I will update your agreement." In a world of scarce customer service, Dawn made my rental experience effortless. We rented a Tesla through Hertz Bedford. The car was in terrible condition, smelled like smoke and was dirty. The employees could not have cared less. Dawn, the manager couldn't be bothered to come to the phone. She left me on hold for over 20 minutes, never returned messages. If I could give this location less than zero stars I would. Stay away from Hertz in Bedford, the customer service is HORRIBLE!! I went through them to rent a car through my insurance company. I told them, AND my adjuster told them that our limit was $30 a day, so they bring me out a key and say here!! They NEVER gave me a choice of cars, and NEVER communicated that the car they were giving me was not a $30 a day car. Don't assume these people will give you what you asked for! At the end of my contract, they hit my bank account for $600...on top of what my insurance company had already paid out!!! They never communicated, they weren't giving me a $30 a day car and they never gave me a choice of cars to choose from either!! Don't sign anything with them without reading it first. I wish I had, and not just assumed that they were giving me what I ASKED FOR and not what THEY wanted to give me!! And then they claimed I asked for a upgrade...when the word upgrade NEVER came out of my mouth, when I told you my limit was $30 a day, I assume that's what I was getting!! People don't assume with this company. If your dealing with insurance...be very careful, I sense a insurance scam going on!! As a matter of fact, I would stay as far away from them, as possible, if you don't want to be hit with any surprise charges! They have thousands of complaints on the BBB website...beware!! Booked an SUV and all they had available was a compact. Told me to wait to see if anything would come in...no point in having a reservation then. Dawn is especially vicious. This place saved me as it came in clutch with a vehical during a time when i couldn't find one to reserve for the week. Place was dirty, staff was nice, but not attentive & i had to wait on a cleaning for 30min despite having a reservation a day in advance. After the CrowdStrike shutdown, everyone was fighting for a rental to get last minute transportation. 3 days after when i was reserving this car, there was still high demand and according to the staff, many one way car bookings. I understand the situation and appreciate the fact that they made it happen here. read more

Dawn was the rudest woman I have ever encountered. EVER! She is an Ungodly woman who does not like people younger than her clearly as I witnessed her engage with elder clients just fine. I told myself not to take it personal and maybe she deals with fraud a lot. That is still no excuse for her blatant disrespect. She chastised me about an identification document that was legit. On Hertz website it stated they accept interem Identification and I brought multiple forms of state issued ID and my expired Liscense as reference. She got in my face with her finger and my document pointing at dates telling me it was expired. She further got in my face took her glasses off and opened her eyes wide. I was unsure what that meant but the body language was hostile and offensive. Leaving me feeling threatened and fearing for my safety. (I called the BMV AND THEY EMAILED RIGHT THEN WHILE I WAS AT HERTZ STATING THAT THE DOCUMENTATION I provided MS DAWN was legit) After being courteous and kind to Dawn she smirked and got satisfaction in the pain and suffering this inconvenience was causing. PLEASE GO ELSE WHERE. I pray deliverance upon her. Shes not right. If I receive any retaliation from this she's going to PRISON! This is the worse place! I came to pick up my car that had been reserved months in advance only to find out that they didn't have any cars. They said they were waiting on people to return their vehicles. The had one car but they couldn't find the key for it. We had a road trip planned which was stalled because of their lack of vehicles. Unprofessional dismissive he talked over me every time I spoke and didn't make any accommodations. Didn't listen I'm already behind on my trip because of the issues with the car and having to book a hotel. It smelled of cigarettes car was unkept and I'm very unhappy with this services. read more

This Location did help me out when the location I booked with was closed without notice. Price was $150 more, and they didn't really care, but I did get a clean vehicle in good shape. Just pricey! If in a crunch I would use-just leave time for pickup as they appear to be way understaffed. read more

I requested a manager & he mentioned he WAS the manager which is probably why all the employees I came in contact with were horrible. As a people leader myself it was very disappointing. This place is very unprofessional. I live in Cleveland and am attending FSU. My parents rented a car to drop me off and fly home. Our reservation said 3 pm and we were there at 3:15 pm to have no car available for us. We leave the next day at 3 am to drop me off for college. We get there a second time in the day about an hour before they close to have a car ready. However it was a Buick Encore. Based on their website the size we ordered was a Nissan Rouge or similar(Q4). They tried giving us the encore(B5). It has a third of the cargo storage. We can't fit my luggage in that car. Not only the gentleman but the manager were very rude in handling us and were trying to give us a smaller car as if it were the same. Then they said it's this car or none. This companies mess up cost my family a car we needed, and plane tickets previously booked. They were rude, did not care about anyone, and have no business running a company or dealing with any customers. We left Hertz having no car and nowhere to get a car given everywhere is closing or closed now. Thank you hertz for your lack of any good business. read more

In complete contrast with other reviewers, my experience at this location was excellent! The young man I dealt with was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. My rental was clean and low mileage. While an insurance company covered my rental costs, the young man fully explained other possible incidental costs and made sure I was happy and satisfied with the entire experience.
