Because of extensive hail damage in Bedford, our leased car was at the body shop (T-Jay's in Bedford, OH) for far longer than expected. Our Enterprise rental ended up lasting about a month longer than our insurance would cover. Unfortunately, there was a scarcity of rental cars in the area, and our car had a bad smell, which never went away after two months, and a weak battery in the key fob, which caused us to lock ourselves out of the car on July 4 (costing $70 to get opened by a service). HOWEVER ... T-Jay's paid our rental that our insurance didn't cover (thanks T-Jay's!) AND... Enterprise promptly replaced the key fob battery for us. AND...when we returned our rental car, the branch manager asked us what they could do to make up for the smelly car, key fob problem, and the extra time we had it. I joked that they could pick up the tab, and they did!! (Thanks Bryce Bishop!) Saved us almost $200 and really made our day. Obviously I would not hesitate to use Enterprise again, as we have several times before. Thanks! read more

They're not only efficient but also genuinely friendly and understanding--every time I walk in, they take a weight off my shoulders and leave me feeling better about the whole situation. This has honestly been the best rental experience I've ever had, and I truly appreciate the way they treat their customers. I recently took my vehicle in for repair at a nearby body shop and instead of using the Enterprise near my home I chose the one near the body shop. I received the only available car they had which was a too small for me, but was told to return later that day to be upgraded. I did return and got the other car and added extra insurance only to find days later my own insurance covered me so I called to cancel the add on which I was never shown and was Astronomical!! Well, after I turned my rental in I did call and spoke with Nick who was the manager and told him I was extremely disappointed and felt his employee was unfair. He agreed with me and humbly apologized and not only did he say he would speak to the employee, but offered me a partial and fair credit for what transpire I want to again thank him for first, admitting to their mistakes, and two, for offering me some good will to now recommend them as the rental car company of choice in our area. read more

Although the cars are usually clean and their employees are friendly I have one big gripe. I rent from them at least a dozen times a year for business and I am kind of tired of my car smelling like Bob Marleys ride EVERY TIME I pick one up. Figure out a way to nullify the smell of weed in your vehicles. I know you can't stop your clients from smoking out your cars but sheesh. I will be an enterprise person for life! I originally called their chagrin falls location to rent a car for the holidays and they didn't have the car I needed so I called The next closest Hertz location. Hertz said they had the car I needed then when I got there it was "the equivalent " which was wayyyy too small and not what I asked for. After sitting in their parking lot for 30 min calling other locations myself because they wouldn't help me locate the needed vehicle even when I was standing at their desk, I called The other locations myself. They found the car but it was $3200 for the week!!!! Insaine! So I tried Enterprise again and not only did they call other locations on my behalf, but the car was $1049 for the week. The driver that picked me up from a dealership was very prompt and pleasant. The salesman at Enterprise was great, he even went and vacuumed out the car before giving to me because he didn't like the way it was. I dropped rental car at dealership when picking up my vehicle and they emailed me a receipt. Very easy to work with. Only reason for 4 stars is that the outside of a white car was pretty dirty and the windshield was bug covered, I had to stop at gas station down the road to clean. read more

I didn't not have a good experience at this Bedford location! I reserved a full size car. I received a email confirming my address and information about the reservation for the car and my pick up time from enterprise for 4:30pm. I wasn't picked up! So I had to get a ride there right before they closed. I mentioned to them that they didn't pick me up. The manager spoke up and said that I was not picked up because my address wasn't complete, and said he only had just part of my address with no city so that was why they didn't pick me up. And they called me he said, I didn't have any missed calls from enterprise either! I went home and checked my email confirmation and it did have my correct full address and phone number. I also was on the phone with the rep who made the reservation when he sent the email I verified that everything was correct. I was told that I would get a up grade from a full size class car to a better class car. The car was dirty one of the top of the side mirrors was broken off. I didn't want to rent it in that condition. Then I had a choice for another car the rep called it a up grade for them not picking me up. It was very dirty and has a torn backseat. I didn't really want to take it but they were closed and I needed a car for the next morning. The sales rep had a worker clean the car. When I got it it was still dirty it smelled like smoke weed and cigarettes! I'm not happy with this store the website says that they clean and disinfect their cars. They just rinsed water on the ones that they showed me. This was the worst Enterprise that I ever rented a car from! I didn't have a good experience here! I just returned my rental car and had another experience with the back brakes making a noise. So we decided not to travel any further in the car. I notified the store that we would be returning the rental. I spoke to Gabby ask if I wanted her to me up with me to bring us another car. I told her I would just bring it back because the location we were going was a little far. So I took the car back and Gabby was expecting me she was very professional! She told a manager about it he was very concerned about the situation. The store manager Ryan said he would not charge me for the rental and ask if there was any thing else he could do after apologizing for all. And he said that he would give me a free rental and upgrade on my next visit! I left with a smile I appreciate how Ryan , Gabby and the other manager handled business! My auto insurance company rented me a car while my car was being repaired. When I went to the Enterprise Bedford, OH office, they only had one car available. It was a minivan, and I didn't want to drive that. The manager, I believe his name is Neal, told me that one of the workers was dropping someone off in a Chevy Impala if I wanted to wait. I said I would. When the Impala arrived, Neal walked me to the back area where the cars are cleaned to show it to me. I'm not sure why that was necessary, but okay. I said the car was fine. He said he would clean it, and I went back to the front lobby area. A few minutes later, he pulled the car around. I've seen cleaner cars from Enterprise, so he couldn't have done the best job in just a few minutes. But the biggest issue was the tank was on EMPTY. There was no gas in the car or very, very little. Neal told me that I would need to get gas, and when I returned the car if it had gas in it, he would give me money to cover my cost for purchasing gas for a vehicle that should have had gas. How does a rental company not have gas in a car they rent?! I have never experienced that with any rental company I have done business with. But he seemed so truthful that I agreed. Most people only have to put the gas back to its original state when returning, but I had to add gas in order to drive the car. I had the car for ten days, so, of course, I had to purchase gas a second time. When I returned the car, I told the associate about the conversation with Neal. The gas was at 3/4 of a tank. At first, she tried to tell me she couldn't reimburse me because the insurance company was paying for the car. I asked her why the manager would offer to pay me back for the gas I had to put into the car to drive it if that were true. As an aside, I wondered if she understood what auto insurance payments paid for. The car I was renting for sure! Next, She told me that since Neal was not there, she had no idea about the conversation. I told her why else would I take a car on empty unless that had been promised? She then offered to give me a discount towards a future rental. But that's not what the manager Neal and I discussed, so I wanted the reimbursement I was promised. She told me that she would have him call me the next day. She wrote my name down on a card. I asked her what time he came in. She 7:30 am. The following day, I received no phone call. At 3:15 pm, I called the Bedford, OH office and asked to speak to the manager. I was put on hold, and neither Neal nor anyone else came to the phone. I was on hold for over fifteen minutes. I take my business seriously, and I do not waste my time or money on those who have unscrupulous business dealings, those who lie, those who deceive, or those who are unprofessional. For all of these reasons, I will no longer be doing business with Enterprise, and I advise you to think twice about doing business with them at the Bedford, OH office. There are too many other rental agencies out here who are professional, and they start the transaction off right by putting gas in the tank. read more

Chris, the manager and his team of friendly, accommodating and caring employees rate #1. They are always quick to serve you, get you on the road and checked back in. I had a car rented for Saturday morning pick up. When they called me to confirm it, I asked if I could possibly pick up the car Friday night so I could get an earlier start on Saturday. India did not hesitate and told me I could pick the car up at 5:00 and they wouldn't charge me until Saturday. When I arrived they were all so nice and understanding why I needed the car early. Today I was at the door at 7:30 to return the car and was finished with the check-in process at 7:35 and on my way to work. Went to pick up rental on Friday. as the agent was doing a walk through i was doing a video of the car before i took off. well the agent didn't say anything but u could see on her face that she thought i was going over the top. the return manager trainee offered to give me one day credit. all is well after a overlap in my account where they debited the one day before the reversal for the original full amount went through. I was upset about this as it could have overdraft my checking, but all is good. The staff was patient while i was irate and that shows awesome training which is needed when working with the public. This past weekend I had to take a trip out of town. I made a hotel reservation through Marriott and was prompted to explore rates through Hertz. I found what I felt was a decent rate however when I arrived to pick up my rental, they only had one car in the class that I rented. Because I typically rent through Enterprise I am accustomed to having a minimum of two-three cars to choose from. The Hertz rep offered me an upgrade to a different car for an additional $10 a day. I stepped outside, called my local Enterprise and was picked up and signing the rental agreement and getting the keys for a nicer car for less money - all in under 20 minutes! I've learned my lesson about straying from Enterprise. The only thing that keeps me from rating this as a 5 is that I did have to do some cleaning in the car I rented. The steering wheel had residue on it and the car smelled of smoke. The rental agent sprayed the car and I rolled the windows down to air it out. When I got home I wiped the steering wheel and all other buttons down with Clorox wipes. Outside of the needed cleaning, this rental was great! read more

I will never use them again. A man hung up on me before I could get an eta and give him the location to pick me up. So I called back and a girl said it would be two hours until I could get a car. I let her know I was stranded so she did try to help and said she would call me back in a few minutes after she tried to find a vehicle sooner. She never called but 40 minutes later i got an alert on my iPhone calendar that I would be picked up in 20 minutes. I was already home by that time. She never called me. Even if you reserve a car online, you'll wait for over an hour while they "prepare your car" and, after all that, it'll be a compact car and not what you reserved or want. They will try to rush you through the forms and charge you for things you don't want. read more

I never write reviews, but this Enterprise location was TERRIBLE (so much so, I have to share)! I was out of town for a friend's wedding, and the starter went in my car (on a Saturday, the day of the wedding!). While I was getting my car fixed, I wanted a back-up so that I could make it to the wedding on time. Because this was Saturday afternoon, the Enterprise across the street was closed but I was still within the 10-mile radius for them to come and "pick me up" (according to the first lady I talked to, this would be fine!).... However, when she transferred me to the front desk to actually book it, that lady told me there was NO WAY (even after I told her there was no way for me to make it 4 miles to the location to pick the car up) that they could drive the car and get me. Her explanation was that my location was covered by the place across the street.... IT WAS CLOSED!! Even after telling her that, she would not work with me at all. Terrible service! read more
