The manager, Monina, has a wonderful phone personality. Once she understood I was stiffed on my reservation at my regular branch, she jumped in to get me a vehicle with no notice. In moments she found me a vehicle and my options for my day out expanded to the possibility of great adventures in shopping. The driver, Mike from Ethiopia, picked me up at home. A great conversationalist, we covered the secrets of injera (the ubiquitous Ethiopian bread that underlies every meal) and the coffee ritual that frames their most delicious beans. I spent thrice the amount of time with Mike than I expected because my wallet fell out of my pocket at home, which I discovered once at the rental branch, so he took me back home and then back to the agency. Smiles all around. This is what customer service ought to be like. This is what builds customer loyalty. Thank you for being awesome, Monina and Mike and Sim. They agreed to drop $50.00 off the rental cost and I took the van home and used a disinfectant plant based spray to eliminate the smell. All is good. When my husband returned the van is when the issue began. They claim they couldn't give us the $50.00 discount because we booked through Expedia. Instead they gave us a questionable credit on the back of a business card for our next booking. I highly doubt Expedia is going to honour this. Very disappointed. I'm not going back to that location.

This location seems to be observing the physical distancing and limiting the number of guests inside the office. I arrived and the process was a bit less involved than usual, and my vehicle was equipped with mud + snow tires. Good... because this forecast was a mixed bag. As it turned out it was a necessary item. The vehicle was clean, and a tag promoting the extra cleaning precautions was on the mirror, however, I wiped down the touch surfaces anyway to be doubly safe. The service was great when I called to let them know there was a rock bullseye on the windshield that we didn't see because of the morning frost on the vehicle. Trip was great, tires kept me stuck on the road during an epic storm on the return trip that shut down the other side of the highway due to a jackknifed semi. It's great to show up at an agency that takes their customer service seriously. I have never arrived and had the experience that sent me here - there is *always* an appropriate (or better) vehicle waiting for me.

I cam to rent twice at this location and was given a hard time to have my rental and when the vehicle class I booked for was not available Maria (manager at the branch) attempted to downgrade me at first instead of giving me something similar or upgrade me. After fighting my case she finally gave me a decent car but was still nonchalant about it and bother line verbally aggressive. I don't know if it is something related to my age as a young entrepreneur or my racial profile. But in any cases no one should suffer this kind of verbal abuse. On December 31, 2020 I rented a car at the same location and I was being helped by the same agent, Maria Santos, claiming to be the branch manager and the only person working at this location as well. Once I walked in she did not again welcome me or greeted me and just ask to give my id and credit card in a nonchalant way and when I say goodbye and best wishes for the upcoming year she did not bother to say thanks at least or return me the warm wishes for 2021. On Wednesday January 20, 2021, I returned the car I rented and after the inspection, Maria discovered only a small little chip that I did not even see not noticeable smaller than a ballpoint pen which I was told that if it was not a crack or bigger than a golf ball it was not chargeable. Then after I stated my right she acknowledged that she knew that but at her discretion she wanted to fill a damage report and state that it was minor scratch or chip on the top right of the windshield. And after she was trying to force me to sign the paper which I respectfully declined. After closing my files she asked me my whereabouts with the car where did I drove for. I told her I drove in Canada I did not go outside of the country as mention per my contract. Then she told me I drove a lot and she will have to charge me extra over 3000km. I told her that it is not the case because I signed up for unlimited mileage on my contract unless I go over 28 days of rental with the car which was not my case because I rented it from December 31 2020 to January 20 2020. Overall it was a really unpleasant experience and I do not recommend Budget to anyone.

Before that he had tried many mechanics over many years. Trustworthy, thorough, knowledgeable, honest, good communicators, fairly priced, good estimators and most of all reliable and great work. They go the extra mile so to speak. How many businesses can one say that about consistently over 15+ years? They were first late Dad's mechanic. Later, they also became my brother's and my mom's mechanic. When I came back from Cincinnati, USA in 2003 and my car warranty ended I went to them and I of course have never have left. It is great to have a family run service for our family in this day and age. The dispatcher present at the time of my pick up was at least easy to talk to, but overall I am not pleased that I had to pay that much to get my car back. The only good grace I will give is that the dispatcher allowed me to come in after hours to pick my vehicle up and he discounted 'one day' from the price. But $530 for the vehicle being in the lot for no more than an hour and a half is insane. I was just robbed and unfortunately they had my car hostage (I am not living in Alberta so I was effectively stranded), which forced me to capitulate.
