I'm grateful to have completed my RN program at Tampa…read moreMedical College and successfully passed the NCLEX. While my experience had some challenges along the way, I still appreciate the education and experience I gained throughout the journey. I'm thankful for reaching this milestone and wish the school continued growth and success for future nursing students.

Runnnn as fast as you can from this school. Specially California residents All you have heard from…read morethis school is true. It should actually have 0 stars. They keep telling you - they are going to get accredited and it is all Lies. That's how they keep students enrolled, and months turn to years. This is a fake so called school of nursing. The owner Jena is the most unprofessional person there is in all Tampa. After making us go back and forward for 4 rotations of clinicals (10 days each) 40 days and actually had 5 shifts at a nursing home (that all they let you do is vital signs and CNA work). No hospital or any other clinical experience. She will send you to volunteer at shelters, sort clothes or do dishes, go door to door to recruit people for church and babysit. Whatever she can find for free but nothing nursing related. She does not have clinical sites - no one allows her even in the parking lot around Tampa. For someone who is just starting nursing school this is the wrong choice, even for LPN to RN. You actually go to hell and back, and be ready to be treated like a doormat from the owner and the instructors. No president of the school, no departments. She is a CON who keeps getting money from working adults with a need to further their education. I have reported her to the department of education and the Florida board of nursing but like every CON they keep getting away with it. If you have similar experiences report it to FL board of nursing and Florida department. FDOE Commission for Independent Education (CIE). And the Florida attorney general. You should see the news investigation - Google it, and the court records for Jena Fadziso dba Tampa Medical College. We can not keep letting this type of people in business. I knew I should have left a long time ago but like I said she kept lying to us and promising the accreditation. For people in California she has never had anyone been able to transfer one license. She will not meet the requirements because they are going to see they are all shelters and non hospital experience .

We no longer argue about math! Jennifer has been able to take her several levels above her typical grade level. She is works well with gifted learners and their nuances such a perfectionism, anxiety, and even helps to establish executive function skills. Her inability to change her work methods to fit the student make her a one trick pony, and it came up short for my daughter who struggled with her tremendously (and a first ever with my daughter). The laborious card system, and other organizing methods took away from actual education towards weaknesses. Miscommunications regarding appointments, and Jennifer in the end not honoring a verbal statement she made to us the after we committed for the big package, make this tutor a disappointment for us, and not effective for us. If you are allergic to cats you can't go there, they roam free in the classroom space, and are locked out only when a session takes place. Overall just disappointing.

I took courses at three of their locations: Brandon, Dale Mabry, and Ybor, and I liked all of them. My main complaint was with parking. I don't know if it has improved since I left, but it was horrible trying to find a parking space, especially the Ybor campus. Since the campus is so large, Dale Mabry is a good place to take courses if you want to get involved. They have athletics, various clubs you can join, and Hawks Landing, their apartments, which have quite a few amenities from what I've seen. Unfortunately, I didn't get to move-in as I had planned, but I did get a glimpse of the apartments. The only problem was that the room and bathroom was pretty small, but at that time this didn't bother me much seeing as I just wanted to get out of my mom's house. Also, I was in the Honors Institute, which I highly recommend to anyone who desires a challenging academic environment, so my class sizes were decent and provided for more a personal experience than having over 100 people in a class. This was great advantage for me, particularly when I took my Public Speaking course. I don't do the greatest in front of big crowds, but this class made it more comfortable for me to speak in front of my peers. Every college and university have bad and good professors, and its no different here. I would highly recommend Professor Linsky of the English department at the Dale Mabry campus, and Professor Conrad of the Math department at the Brandon campus; these are only a couple of the great instructors I had while attending classes. As far as tuition is concerned, I loved it!!! I had Bright Futures, scholarships from the Honors Institute, and grants, so not only was everything paid for, but I got a nice refund each semester. I didn't have to resort to getting loans until I transferred to a four-year university. So, if you want a challenging, affordable, and memorable experience while gaining the professional and social skills to either transfer to a university or go into the work force, HCC is the place to go!!!

This statement documents my experience as a current student at Hillsborough Community College and…read morethe ongoing misconduct involving Student Advisor Gary Iglesias, along with the institution's failure to provide transparency, accountability, or compliance with federal student privacy obligations. Over the past four years, Mr. Iglesias has repeatedly referenced my student information in ways that fall outside legitimate educational interest. On multiple occasions, he made comments about my GPA directly to my children -- an inappropriate and unprofessional disclosure of student information that no advisor should be making. This pattern demonstrates a long term disregard for boundaries and raises serious concerns about improper access to my records. In recent months, his conduct escalated dramatically. Mr. Iglesias initiated welfare checks, contacted the Department of Children and Families, and contributed to false contempt allegations in court -- all based on inaccurate information and conducted outside the college environment. These interventions had direct consequences for my family and legal matters, and they appear to have been influenced by his access to my student records and his position within the institution. When I attempted to file a formal grievance, the college minimized the seriousness of the situation. I was informed only that my student account had been "flagged" or "restricted," yet the institution refused to provide the underlying documentation, rationale, or audit trail explaining: * who accessed my records * why the flag was placed * what information was used * whether my records were disclosed outside the institution As a student, I have clear rights under FERPA to inspect and review my education records, including advising notes, account flags, restrictions, and any documentation containing personally identifiable information. The college's refusal to provide these records -- while acknowledging that my account was flagged -- raises significant concerns about improper access, misuse of information, and noncompliance with federal privacy law. My concern is straightforward: a student advisor has used his position for four years to reference, comment on, and potentially access my information for purposes unrelated to legitimate educational interest, culminating in external interventions that no advisor should be involved in. The college has not provided transparency, corrective action, or any indication that it has investigated the misuse of student information. This experience reflects a breakdown in professional ethics, student record governance, and institutional oversight. Students deserve advisors who act within the boundaries of their role, institutions that take grievances seriously, and full transparency when their records are accessed, flagged, or used in ways that affect their lives outside the classroom.
