Jenny was great and helpful. I had to call multiple times and each time staff was attentive to the phone for me. Gwen at the front desk was friendly and kind. May God help you if you ever need treatment from Dr. Siavash. My experience with him was frustrating and deeply disappointing, marked by substandard care, poor communication, and a complete disregard for a treatment plan that should have ensured a proper recovery with relative ease. Had he done what the ER doctor initially recommended when assessing my fractured mandible, I wouldn't be dealing with the complications I now face. On December 16, 2024, I suffered a fractured mandible and was initially treated at Saint John's Pleasant Valley Hospital. The ER physician diagnosed it as a clean break and informed me that it should have been easily corrected with an open reduction procedure. When I consulted Dr. Siavash on December 26, 2024, he ignored the recommended approach, instead describing my injury as "shattered"--a completely different diagnosis than what the ER physician had told me. For reasons I cannot comprehend, Dr. Siavash was completely against performing the open reduction procedure, even though it was the clear, logical, and medically sound approach to correcting my injury. Instead, he **wired my jaws together for four weeks**, ignoring the need to properly set the mandible at the fracture site. This decision led to predictable complications, including malunion and malocclusion--complications that should never have happened if he had followed a standard surgical approach. His consultation lasted only 8-12 minutes after I waited over two hours in the examination room to see him. Given the seriousness of my injury, I expected thorough attention and care, yet I received rushed, dismissive treatment. Even more shockingly, when I asked if he wanted my dental records before the operation, he dismissed the idea entirely and instead asked me to "just send a picture of me smiling." How does a trained maxillofacial surgeon ignore critical records and opt for a casual photo instead? This is jaw surgery, not a cosmetic consultation. Adding to my frustration, Dr. Siavash was the only option available to me through Ventura County Health Care Plan (VCHCP), meaning I had no opportunity to seek a second opinion within the network. Later, another surgeon's office informed me that Dr. Siavash doesn't even treat trauma-related injuries, raising serious concerns about why he was entrusted with my case in the first place. Because of his poorly executed treatment plan, I am now accruing additional billing expenses from VCHCP as I seek proper treatment to correct the avoidable damage his surgical approach caused. His refusal to perform the correct procedure resulted in lasting complications that never should have occurred. His negligence and unwillingness to follow the standard, medically recommended approach call into question his competency as a maxillofacial surgeon. The errors he made were not minor--they were completely avoidable, predictable, and unacceptable for a specialist in his field. No patient should ever have to endure such carelessness and disregard for their well-being. Dr. Siavash had every opportunity to fix my jaw correctly, and he failed. Instead of following the standard procedure, he ignored the best approach and left me with permanent complications. To put it simply, in golfer's terms, he had an easy putt to make, and he tried to sink it with a nine iron. At this point, I want my treatment to be managed by a different physician--one who understands the importance of proper jaw function and precision in surgical care. Given my experience, I firmly believe that Dr. Siavash should no longer be considered a trusted maxillofacial specialist within the Ventura County Health Care Plan (VCHCP). If you need a surgeon who prioritizes precision, thoroughness, and patient outcomes, I strongly urge you to seek an alternative specialist. Do not trust him with your care. He blew it and I am paying the price for his negligence, or worse. read more

I referred my daughter to take my grandson, who was born with a cleft lip, for a second opinion, and Dr. Siavash's recommendations have been the best for my grandson. I was less than thrilled to have to get my wisdom teeth out as an adult, I have heard nothing but horror stories. I then was fortunate enough to see Dr. Siavash. I have been in Dr. Siavash's office in two separate occasions and have had two extractions as well as an implant. I have been impressed by office staff professionalism and friendliness. They make you feel comfortable and confident that you will be taken care of. Doctor Siavash has wonderful bed side manner, and he's a technocrat. My dentist was amazed how quickly my extraction and then my implant healed and how well it turned out. I was referred to him by and ER doc for a facial fracture. He did not do a good job explaining to me why such an invasive surgery was justified. Went and got a 2nd opinion at UCLA who said I wouldn't need surgery. I felt like his office was pretty aggressive with the phone calls trying to schedule surgery when I hadn't agreed to it. We spent about 10 minutes during a consultation and received a bill a few weeks later for $346!!! For a 10 minute consultation!! Always get a second opinion!! I would have gone through an unnecessary, surgery expensive and painful surgery had I listened to this guy!! I am not paying that $346 bill for a consultation. Tl;dr: Dr. Siavash recommended treatment to me (that took business away from my dentist), and after he spoke with my dentist, Dr. Siavash's office denied that the conversation ever took place, seemingly to benefit my dentist. Long story: I went in for a consult with Dr. Siavash a couple months ago for a second opinion. I need to get an implant, but first need to get the tooth next to it straightened. I told him that my dentist recommended Invisalign and that my dentist would be the one doing it (aka the one I would be paying for the Invisalign), but I wanted to know if there were other options (that would potentially be better for my case). Dr. Siavash told me that he highly recommended a TAD (temporary anchorage device) over Invisalign and we had a discussion why. He said he would discuss with my dentist and his office would call me. A few weeks later, I get a call from his office and they say Dr. Siavash recommends Invisalign. I was very confused and mentioned the conversation about TADs, and the receptionist told me "the doctor never recommended that." I told her everything he said about why Invisalign wouldn't be the best option and she kept saying that the conversation never happened. I was really upset over this, because I know what he said, and for their office to basically say I was lying was really concerning. I'm assuming my dentist wants me to go with Invisalign (because it's going to make them money), and told Dr. Siavash to not recommend other treatment. I want to think that dentists are doing what's best for you, but more often than not, it seems like they're just trying to make money off of you. In this case, my dentist wants to make money, and Dr. Siavash is helping by pretending he never recommended other treatment. I wish I could've gone through with treatment here, especially with all the great reviews, but after my experience, I don't trust him at all. read more

I visited dr Siavash office on 3 separate occasions, once for myself and twice for my elderly mom Dr. Siavash is very professional, up to date, kind and compassionate, not to mention the wonderful staff and beautiful office. He performed tooth extraction for me which was the most pleasant medical experience I have ever had. I was prescribed pain killers but I never needed it. But what prompt me to write this review ( I am not good at writing reviews ) is my moms experience. She also had her tooth extracted and prepped her for implant for a later date. My mom usually is fussy and impatient in such situation and easily irritable. I was in awe how Dr. Siavash calmly explained her options and answered all of her questions . Amazingly she did not need any extra care either after the extraction. For the implant we got a second opinion from another surgeon and he advised a much more expensive and prolonged option claiming her bone was too narrow. We went back to Dr. Siavash and he agreed that the bone is too narrow but he could use a technique so she doesn't have to go through the expensive and prolonged operation. I went to my regular dentist because I was experiencing terrible mouth pain. I was referred to Dr. Siavash the same day for a consultation. He took the time to examine me, take extra X-rays and explain my options. He was very gentle, kind and reassuring. The staff was amazing! They scheduled the procedure quickly for me. When I went in to have the procedure done they were so friendly! They took the time to re-explain what was going to happen and Dr. Siavash personally went out to speak to my parents (who drove me) and ease their anxiety. The surgery went great! I had almost no swelling and was back at work two days later! The staff even called the day after to find out how I was feeling and if I needed anything. Dr. Siavash is absolutely the best! I was on a camping trip in Carpenteria last week and I had the bad fortune of cracking and breaking a molar. I did on the other hand have the good fortune to meet Dr. Siavash, I had called a friend who lived in the area and she highly recommended that I contact Dr. Siavash. I was in so much pain and my mouth was swollen, I contacted the office and they advised that the Dr. could see me but I may have a wait as an emergency patient, which I was completely willing to do. I made it to the office and when I was taken back the assistant took all necessary x-rays which she did exceptionally, especially since I was in pain. When Dr. Siavash came in to the room he was very kind and professional he checked the tooth in my mouth and then reviewed my x-rays with me. He went over all of my options for the tooth and to my surprise one of the options is that I was able to save this tooth he provided me with a prescription to alleviate the pain until I could get in with my general dentist on the following day in Simi Valley. I was shocked because most Dentists are just out to make a dollar and Dr. Siavash was honest and didn't just give me the option to only extract. I will definitely make the drive back to him if I ever need and extraction and when my daughter needs her wisdom teeth removed he will be her surgeon. Dr Siavash is a remarkably compassionate and talented Doctor (capital D cuz look at all of those degrees!!). I had a family member visiting from out of the country and he developed a horrific toothache, we called Dr after my hubby's dentist recommended an oral surgeon. Dr Siavash kindly called us back quickly on a weekend, gave great advice, and squeezed us in for an appointment asap. The procedure was shockingly quick and pain free!! My relative is back to being himself as he is no longer in agony and we can enjoy our time together- so grateful because it's so rare we get to see each other.
