We had the best experience with Dr. Mark and his staff. My son needed to have his wisdom teeth removed and everything went so perfectly. Scheduling with a breeze, the front office manager was so informative and helpful, the nurses were efficient and gave us all of the info we needed for post-op care. They worked really fast and my son was comfortable the whole time. Even his post op was so easy. He had minimal swelling and he was back to school on Monday. Dr. mark is a true expert and explained everything so perfectly to me. I was referred by my dentist to Dr. Marks. I came in to my consultation and he took X-rays and went over what was needed to be done and as soon as possible. He reassured me that it would be a piece of cake and it would not take long to get my bottom right wisdom tooth extracted. Well I had to make arrangements with my workplace to find a good time to have this done. Finally got some time off and went in for the appointment to get this done, and like Dr. Marks said that it would be a piece of cake for him to do. I was very nervous and my anxiety was really bad but everyone there was very friendly and helpful they made me feel comfortable and Dr. Marks was very calm and very nice and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable and he placed the IV in and said I'm going to give you a little juice and I was going in and out and before I knew it I was all done. I didn't even realize that I was done and Dr. Marks had assured me that it was over and done and that I was ready to go and gave me prescriptions and instructions and what to take for pain and relief and ibuprofen for inflammation or swelling. I was a bit loopy and woozy. I really don't ever felt I had a great experience like that ever!! With an oral surgeon! Dr. marks is truly awesome! And his staff is truly amazing! I would love to have him do all my oral work if I ever needed the other wisdom teeth extracted in the future or any teeth removed that needed. Wonderful team, and amazing Dr. Marks. This place is amazing! I have really bad anxiety when going to the dentist or anything to do with teeth. I absolutely dread going to the point where I will cry. But Dr. Marks and his staff made sure I was okay and felt comfortable. I had to get a wisdom tooth extraction and it went really well! Dr. Marks removed all four of my wisdom teeth, and it was truly a miraculous experience! Before that, my dentist in Thousand Oaks had referred me to a different Oral Surgeon who had described what to expect as a seriously unpleasant and prolonged recovery. I was by my friend Dr. Jin Lee, a dentist in Ventura, to have a consultation with Dr. Marks. His description of the process and recovery was entirely different, and far less impactful than I'd been told by the other doc. It actually sounded too good to be true! The first oral surgeon had told me that I would have significant pain for at least the better part of a week, and that I'd experience bleeding. I'm almost 60 years old, and based on my xrays, I was told it would be a rough experience to chip the teeth out in bits and pieces. He explained that in older patients, the recovery can be slower, and more painful. He actually made it sound much worse than this. He also explained that since I'm anti-coagulated, if I had bleeding issues, and ended up in the ER, he would not be involved in my treatment. My consult with Dr. Marks was the complete opposite in terms of how I felt when I left. He explained that I wouldn't need to reduce my anti-coagulation, and that the experience should not be rough whatsoever. He explained that it would take a shorter amount of time than the first doc had told me, and he even charged less money for the procedure! Here's the miraculous part. The entire procedure only took 45 minutes! Not only did I not have any bleeding issues, I didn't even need to take any pain meds! I had a mild headache for the first week, but no significant pain or other issues whatsoever! It's now been over three months since the surgery, and I still couldn't be any happier with Dr. Marks and his team at Seaside Oral Surgery! read more

I was so hoping I'd be the 1st to review Seaside Oral Surgery, not surprised to see 5 star reviews across the board, though. I stumbled across Dr.Marks quite by accident. I had a tooth/crown break off below the gum line. It had become infected, swollen and very painful. My dentist referred me to a prominent, local oral surgeon that turned out to be a real prize. He wouldn't take $1,500 down towards a $2,000 procedure with the balance in a week when I got paid again.To say I was upset is an understatement. I'm not ashamed to say it pissed me right off! I asked my dentist (the wonderful Camarillo Smiles.) for another referral, and was sent to Seaside. The staff there are (is?) SO friendly and professional and it's obvious they all get along so well and work together as a happy, professional team. The procedure took minutes under local anesthesia, rather than the previous recommendation of General anesthesia "because the procedure is so painful and invasive." It wasn't. It wound up being around a quarter of the estimate from the other place and it was as stress and pain free, even pleasant, as a dental procedure can be. (I thought they were just getting started, when the procedure was complete!) There was very minimal bleeding and I had no need for pain meds.We shared some laughs and I heard some amazing stories! I can't begin to recommend Dr. Marks and staff at Seaside Oral Surgery enough. It was, by far, the most outstanding dental experience ever! So I'm not sure if this is even possible, but I had the most pleasant time getting one of my wisdom teeth taken out. I had cracked it open on New Years Eve and had put off going to get it taken care because of let's face it, who wants to get a tooth extracted.plus with Covid 19 shutting everything down it was not a good time. I am so happy and amazed at the work this surgeon did. I was seeing another surgeon and he took out 3 wisdom teeth and for some reason they didn't heal and I was in pain for 5 months going back and fourth and the problem not getting fixed. So I looked for another dentist and came across seaside oral surgery office. I came in, everyone was so nice and the office was clean. I was super scared and nervous because of the trauma that was caused by the other oral surgeon. But this Dr was super comforting and made funny jokes to make me feel comfortable. The day of my surgery they were very clean and the room where the surgery took place was very nice and they offered me a blanket and made me feel very comfortable. After the surgery everything he promised had happened, the pain was gone my face wasn't swollen I could literally eat that same day. I was so happy I came here. He deserves more stars then 5. I recently went to Dr. Michael Morrissette for a blood blister that formed on my lower lip in the corner . I was previously told that if I had it removed that it would leave a "white" spot and to just lance it. Well - I can't tell you how many times I had to lance it as it kept filling with blood and not only looked awful but was also painful. I went to Dr. Morrissette as a recommendation from my dentist Dr. Reed. Dr. Morrissette informed me it was a hematoma and that it would not go away by lancing but rather needed to be removed. He assured me that there would be no "white spot" or scar. True to his word my lip is totally healed and you cannot tell where he removed this hematoma! Dr. Morrissette and his staff are very professional and work with your schedule, insurance, etc. Highly recommend him! read more

I went to see Dr. Marks today, 1/16/18 for a consult to get a cracked molar pulled. The entire staff was very welcoming from the moment I opened the door. They went over my insurance plan with me. When Dr. Marks came in, he was calm and welcoming. He explained why I needed to get the tooth pulled, and what and why a bone graft and implant was the solid choice. He was going out of town at he end of this week, so he said I could get it done today or Thursday. I said let's do it now as I didn't want to take more time off work.
