Would be zero stars if were an option. This review is not about the higher fees, as we did take a long time to get documents sent and had no issue paying more for good service. What this is about is unprofessional, offensive and incomplete service in receipt. I received a call stating we owe at least $20k in taxes, if not more after penalties & interest. As a small business, we hire another firm, a tax mediation specialist to review the situation, see what options exist and review for any errors. This is the exact response received from the owner: " I AM DISAPPOINTED AND INSULTED THAT YOU HAVE BROUGHT ANOTHER FIRM INVOLVED. WHAT THE F--CK YOU THINK THEY ARE GOING TO FIND? IT WILL BE FOR NOUGHT!!! " (JohnJ Kasperek, 4/2/21). If a screenshot could be included here, that would be done so, but this is a direct copy & paste, no paraphrasing nor editing. Turns out...it was NOT for nought. Tax mediation firm found at least (6) errors, totaling more than $100k of short-term loans they miscategorized as revenue, creating the false tax obligation. When contacted to fix their errors, after dodging our emails for the better part of a month, the response received was: "After getting a different firm involved with your books, you should have just had them prepare the business return to your satisfaction." Since then, they've refused to make the appropriate, necessary corrections of their errors, refused to provide a refund for the incomplete tax return, and have also tried to manipulate us into a hold harmless agreement, of which we've refused. The damage caused is temporarily influx and will most likely result in several thousands of dollars in another firm correcting all their errors and amending the original return, not including any late penalties. If this is the type of treatment and professionalism they provide, especially when their work credibility is called into question, I can't recommend this business to my nearest competitor or worst enemy. They should have their licensing revoked at minimum.

Wasn't transparent about pricing and charged much more than quoted. I told her we would be parting ways after tax season, as my S-corp return and personal have not even been started on yet (S-corp due March 15, they filed extension March 14 but didn't give me any updates, today is April 5) about which I was not notified, and she had the gall to fire me as a client 10 days before individual taxes are due because I set boundaries with her. Her emails included insults and personal attacks, and her office did not return everything to me that I sent them. Cites reason for the incompetence is that an accountant left her firm. Perhaps if she weren't so ugly to clients and employees, people would stay. Here are some comments she made to me just today via email (not counting previous encounters): When I asked why they didn't call about discovering my returns haven't been worked on: "I am not curt. I am still confident, and that's why we are working our tails away instead of crying over it on the phone." "Can you please stop panicking for no reason?" When I questioned the hike in pricing and lack of transparency about it (important to note I told her when I hired her that I am new to being a business owner and need some guidance, which she agreed to provide): "I am also certain you realize it took time to answer all your questions in person or over the phone. I understand that you came with very little knowledge of how the S-corps work, but it is not my place to educate for free." This is just a sampling, and there were were pleasant interactions as well. However, there is an overall air of superiority in her communications. Mila seems unable to take accountability for her choices, and deflects them onto her clients when there are negative consequences. For example, I am aware of a former client who fired her as a CPA due to her behavior. When I brought this to her attention, she advised that she fired the client, who is no longer welcome back. I'm aware of more another individual who plans to fire her because of their experiences with how rude she is. She may be good at math, but she is terrible with people.
