He will give you a quote that is off the charts. You must be specific, get your own supplies, hold fast to getting an $85 an hour charge. I understand it is a two hr. minimum. He let it slip that it was $85 and hour but also said up to $1,000 a day. I got them to stick to the $85. I needed some electrical work done. Some handy men can do it and other not so they need to know which man to send. Don't get the piddly stuff done. Go for the bigger jobs. Chris, I was told would show, but Hydam showed instead. He is a soft spoken, gentle man who knows what he is doing. He fixed a faucet rather than install the new one I had purchased...saved me $100. He did the electrical, installed two very difficult closet doors...house settled. He hung curtain rods, did a door sill, stabilized a rocking commode, and more. Stick around because he will ask questions, and it is best to work as a team. He is very specific...he will tell you if another way would work as well and save time. He was on it. I felt blessed to have Hydam work for me as he was polite and diligently wished to do a good job. I was very pleased with his work. Do provide lunch if a handy man stays the day. Hydam never took a break. I think they could forgo Jimmy the access-or. He is shifty, overbearing, opinionated, and tries to pull down big bucks for the company. Hydem saved me money in the long run, and he is a great person to have in your home to work for and with you. Tell 'em it is $85 an hour or hit the road Jimmy.

Forget the designer, she just shows you a few samples and did not know a lot, told me to go look elsewhere if I wanted something else she did not have a sample of, no help at all. I would not recommend them.

Gave him a check up front $900 9/7/2918. For him to start the project on 9/14/2018. He came did half the job cashed the check and HAS NOT RETURNED! No phone call, not returning emails NOTHING! Jorge I know you will see this. Have no idea how you sleep at night. We trusted you to come in our house and support you and your new family with giving you our business. If you needed the money and more time you could call were reasonable. To take our money and disappear is ridiculous! *STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK*

Estimated time of completion = 2 weeks. I paid him the first installment and he started right away. He worked consistently for a few days. But then the absences began - he kept me apprised at first but then he just wouldn't show up for days. It has been more than 3 months and he's still not completed the basement. I've given him a $1000 advance for another project and he has not shown up for work since. He also has $500 worth of my stuff from Ikea that he picked up but never delivered. To be fair, he did mention that he had a personal task to attend to but that was in late June and I've not heard from him since. The most frustrating part is not responding to calls and messages (I have all logs). I've explained to him several times the urgency of finishing this work but he seems to have ignored it so far. Very unprofessional!!

I didn't want a small problem to become a large one, I couldn't fix it myself, so on the recommendation to use Mr. Handyman on Larkfield Road in East Northport I called them. Cassandra and Anita, the two young ladies who run the office, take the phone calls, were very helpful. They were friendly, they were professional. They took my situation seriously and got somebody out here as soon as possible. You get notification that the technician is on his way with a picture of him and his name so you know exactly what to expect Jim C. was the technician assigned to my home to do the job. He was very friendly. He was helpful, he explained things which put me at ease regarding my problem. The whole process was fast, easy & efficient. I'm very pleased. He left everything clean & the job done. I will use them again.

Mainly giving this company 2 stars for two reasons: they charged me 80 dollars just to come give…read moreme an estimate... which they put in fine print and charge at the end, so it feels very sneaky and dishonest. And also why am I paying someone to come see a job and talk about paying them more? And secondly, they quoted me 16,600 to build a 6ft wall and doorway in my (finished) basement, and hang 4 doors (which they decided they wanted to make smaller and take apart in a pretty much finish basement.... Which is pretty obscene. I've done a lot of work in past so it's pretty high up there. Would've given zero stars if I could, but one star would only be for the gentleman who showed up (and just works for the company and doing his job) was very nice and personable and also seemed knowledgeable. And I'm sure he is not the one making this huge upcharges in work. But overall I wouldn't recommend and also felt it was weird and sneaky to charge me after the estimate 80 dollars to come to my house to talk about the job. The company should be paying their workers for their time, or have them disclose and ask for the payment when they arrive so I could have the opportunity to decline. So for that alone it reflects as dishonest.
