Estimated time of completion = 2 weeks. I paid him the first installment and he started right away. He worked consistently for a few days. But then the absences began - he kept me apprised at first but then he just wouldn't show up for days. It has been more than 3 months and he's still not completed the basement. I've given him a $1000 advance for another project and he has not shown up for work since. He also has $500 worth of my stuff from Ikea that he picked up but never delivered. To be fair, he did mention that he had a personal task to attend to but that was in late June and I've not heard from him since. I found Jorge on Yelp with his outstanding reviews and just knew my experience would be similar. Jorge responded quickly and followed up to fix my running toilet the same day. He purchased the tool kit needed and took about 20 minutes to fix the issue. He was pleasant and honest enough to inform me I needed another piece to deter my toilet from breaking down sooner and he would return the following day to complete the job. I made the big mistake of paying Jorge in full for his labor because he never returned. We communicated back and forth via text and he stood me up twice with days he was supposed to show and never did. (I have the saved texts) I was VERY flexible with Jorge since he informed he was working in my neighborhood and actually could walk home from my apt. I thought he would make arrangements to finish the last bit of work but to my dismay he never did. I was the one always contacting him to complete the work and for this unprofessional behavior he gets 2 stars. Shame on you Jorge for your unprofessionalism and incomplete work when you were paid in full. Shame on me for paying you in full when you didn't complete the work, lesson learned. Jorge was amazing!!! We hired him to level the paving stones in our backyard. When we moved in the yard was over grown and tree roots had pushed up most of the stones making it impossible to use most of the yard. Jorge came in, turned up all the stones, took out all the tree roots, and even went to Home Depot for us to buy the extra dirt needed to fill everything in. In a day and a half we had a beautiful yard perfect for entertaining that we've been using for parties all summer long. We could never have done it ourselves. He was so fast and efficient. After many attempts he finally got back to me and I gave him a list of the many things I needed done in my house. Jorge requested a detailed list from me and we scheduled a date for the work to commence. Two days prior, I received a text from Jorge that he was injured and could not start the job. I was very understanding and told him to keep me in the loop as to when he will be working again. I have texted him and called several times leaving messages for him. Unfortunately, it has been 2 weeks and I have not received a text or a phone call back as to what his current status is. This is a late post, but we looked around for different handymen to come install a dish washer into our kitchen. We got over 4 quotes with Jorge being the only one who came over to look prior to giving us a quote. Noted he wasnt the cheapest quote, but we appreciated that he came and saw what he had to do so we wouldn't have any unforseen costs. It wasn't your normal simple dishwasher installation. We had to redo our cabinetry to fit the dishwasher. Basically he cut our cabinets in half and put them back together to fit the dishwasher. He also installed our new sink, which he has to cut through our countertop and then make a new piece to fit the new sink and move it over to the right with our new faucet. It was quoted as a two day job, but it took him 2.5 days. He came back two days later time finish. There were a lot of unforseen issues especially with our old apt pipes. But Jorge took care of all that as stated before because he came and looked he prepared in case this would happen. Over all he was very friendly, prompt and quick with communication.
