After the tenant moved out, RMS withheld a security deposit I was entitled to, citing "anticipated utility charges and legal fees." Nearly two months later, the funds still have not been released, and RMS has provided no clear timeline or meaningful communication. This delay is unreasonable and unlawful, as funds cannot be withheld due to internal financing issues. Despite our long business relationship, they have left me completely in the dark and have provided no flexibility or communication on what should be a cut a dry issue.

She was always argumentative about repairs some of which I declined and were tenant repairs. Things got worse when I decided to sell the property, which they would evidently lose money from monthly, and they instantly demanded all these fees. I asked for zoom meetings when the pandemic first started and got the cold shoulder, it says conference calls are allowed in the bylaws. When they do respond they lie and make false promises, luckily I keep all communications. We tried setting up a time for a call to sort out their error but instead of answering my calls or just leaving an apology on my voicemail they decided to be petty and play phone tag for 2 weeks so I gave up. My wife is in a high risk pregnancy and I have no time for foolishness. If this is how it is for just an HOA, I can't imagine what a nightmare it would be like to have them manage property or rent from them.
