I booked a nail appointment here for me & my bridesmaids. There were 4 of us which they knew ahead of time, yet when we got there only one lady was available to do our nails. So, my maid of honor decided not to get a pedicure as there were only 3 chairs available and it would have taken so much longer to do hers afterwards. One nail tech alternated between me and my other two bridesmaids... it took SO long. The girl was nice enough, but the nail polish did not look good at the end. Plus, all she did was rub some stuff on my feet and paint my nails... no scrubbing or cuticle care whatsoever. Very sub par. When it was time to do our nails, another lady was available. So two of us were able to get our nails done at a time while the other two waited. It took SO long to get through three of us that one of my bridesmaids decided not to get her nails done (at this point we had been at the place for THREE hours & had to get to dinner reservations soon). It took my maid of honor an hour and a half to get her full set done as the person doing her nails (the OWNER) kept getting up to talk to other workers, use the bathroom, answer her phone, etc. I made it clear to the lady that we needed to go ASAP & that she needed to hurry up. She promised they'd be done in 10 minutes and half an hour later she still hadn't finished (but had time to get up and go over to the computer to google what the male version of a cougar is called... really?!). This experience was a disaster from beginning to end. It shouldn't take 3 and half hours to get a mani & pedi. Totally disappointing. They knew we were a wedding party yet apparently didn't give a crap that their terrible service meant one bridesmaid couldn't get her nails done & that the maid of honor couldn't get her toes done. And worst of all... my wedding was 2 days later & my UV gel polish (which isn't supposed to chip for up to 2 weeks) had already started peeling off my nails. I will NEVER give this place my hard earned money again. It's a wonder anyone goes in there. UGH. read more

I know this place had some terrible reviews and I have to say most of it was dead on. I went in anyway, my bad. Dirty foot baths and personnel in the salon airing there dirty laundry and fighting in front of customers. Water was scalding in the foot bath then freezing. Then I sat for 30 mins waiting while the girl walked around and ignored me. I don't recommend this place. But I gave it two stars because the girl who did the pedi was eventually nice and didn't do a terrible job. read more

This place is the worst I booked an appointment to get my hair and nails done little over a week in advance only to get there and have the girl behind the desk say she didn't see my name down and gave my appointment to someone else who had called that morning the hair dresser was nice enough to do both of our hair at once but it took forever and was not what I had asked for at all the when it came time to get my nails filled the lady was so rude and unprofessional that I ended up walking out I did pay for my hair even though it was not what I wanted but I refused to pay for my nails I recommend never going there for any reason also I was buying my shampoo and hair care products until this last week when I got home and noticed my products were watered down which make me wonder how many people they have ripped off by doing this read more

I feel terrible for the nail tech or manicurist that took care of me today. The girl didn't have a CLUE about common procedures in using a foot spa nor customer service. I don't know who taught this girl how to give pedicures (oh WAIT YES I DO- she said her boss apprenticed her! ) but they had to be out of their MIND thinking this was proper procedure and sanitation. How do I know? I get pedicures every 2 weeks and have floated through many salons. The only thing that makes a pedicure any different from another is the techniques, typically. I also am a licensed cosmetologist so this isn't my first rodeo. In addition, all of the licenses and certificates on the wall were blocked from view by plants. I was told by "another salon" that this place was notorious for this kind of service and more often than not, not licensed. Although she was sweet, she would not stop talking to me. Forget taking a nap or closing your eyes to relax. I came to relax and enjoy the silence while having a pedicure not gab and gossip to my hairdresser. However, even had she been a mute like most manicurists, it wouldn't have made any difference because the flamboyant male hairdresser (maybe?) practically giving an opera performance, nosy female hairdresser with extremely poor hygiene, incompetent receptionist and loud owner all made enough racket to make anyone's hair stand up. Now onto the atmosphere. DIRTY, OLD, in dire need of repair. The chair I sat in looked as if it hadn't been wiped down in years. The towels were dingy oh and not to mention, there were PILES of them on the dusty floor. To end this all, I had all of my toes touched and rubbed repeatedly to "check for dryness" to the point that the polish was smooshed. I bet the glob of cuticle oil over top coat didn't help at all either. She asked if I wanted her to fix "it" (not the other 4 toes also jacked up) but I couldn't get out of there fast enough. So here I am, pushing my cuticles back, preparing to re paint my toes. I also have one callus free foot, if you cared to know. P.S. As a licensed professional, I wouldn't be caught dead having my hair done there by that loud mouthed smelly woman picking up her tools off the dirty floor and putting them back on her clients head. YES, I may be a snobby hairstylist from Anchorage but my god, Soldotna needs to give this place the boot. Or the board of barbers and hairdressers... Either will do. read more

WORST SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. If it was possible I would rate it at 0 stars. First of all we made an appointment two days before for 4 pedicures and 4 manicures. We picked this salon because it was the only one in the area that used the shellac gel polish. We arrived at 245 to pick out colors. I mentioned to the technician that my sister was getting married, and that's why we were there (3 of us from out of town). That same technician then proceeded to set up two pedicures, and attempted to do them both at the same time. While she did this, an employee sat in a chair with her feet up watching tv, eating pretzels the entire time, and the owner talked about god knows what. Finally the owner came over to do a third pedicure that was changed to just a polish changed, due to the fact that it was now 330. The technician doing two pedicures took about an hour and a half to complete them. She then proceeded to start one manicure and left me sitting in the chair with my finished pedicure. The fourth pedicure we ended up dropping because it was taking foreverrrrr. One person in our party asked at430 how long a full set of nails would take, to which the owner replied 45 minutes. We made it clear we were on a time constraint. She didnt start with the full set until 445 because she was too busy talking, answering personal phone calls, and having her secretary look up the difference between a cougar and a puma. She talked the entire time through the full set which would have been fine if she could multitask. She could not talk and work at the same time. And her topics of conversation were so unprofessional it made our entire party uncomfortable. She talked about anything from her druggy sister, to her husbands ex wife. She then continued to show YouTube videos on her iPhone. All the while stopping her job, to do this. A full set that she said would take 45 minutes took an hour and 45 minutes. 2 pedicures and 1 manicure were not completed in the 3 hours our party was there. Not to mention the finish product looked like crap and was extremely overpriced. One of the girls in our party had her cuticles filed so far down they hurt for three days after. Makes me wonder if this lady was even a certified technician, let alone the owner. If I was her, I would be ashamed of myself. By far one of the most unprofessional and dirty places I have ever been. No one even apologized for not being able to complete our original requests, or for how long it took. Two days later the brides nails started to peel! Shellac polish is supposed to last for two weeks! So, in conclusion... Do NOT come here unless you have a full day to get your nails done and want them to be ruined tomorrow, not to mention at risk of getting an infection due to the piles of dust on the floor. read more

Personally I think this is an amazing salon. This is a complete full service salon and they accomidate to all your needs. I go here quite often and get my hair done with Angelica and my nails done with Michelle who is also the owner. They both do a fabulous job and we have great conversation. They have a very clean and prefessional enviorment that is very welcomeing. I would reccomend this salon to anyone looking to be pampered for the day. This is one of the best salons I have been to and they have really reasonable prices which is awesome for someone like me who is on a right budget. Great salon and great services! I am a repeat client and I always go there to get my hair cut and my nails done. Occasionally I get a pedicure, they are always so sweet and professional.
