When Stacy finished my trim (shampoo+ trim, NO blowout, NO product-- the appointment lasted 20 minutes total) and brought me to the front desk, the receptionist told me it will be $65 and asked what tip I wanted to add. I respectfully pushed back a bit, pointing out to her that I did not get a blowout/product and that their website states that women's cuts start at $43. The receptionist told me that there was a price change at the beginning of the year and it all depends on who your stylist is.... Im just bummed because the price change was not reflected on the website, and I did not have a choice on who my stylist was. I suppose this is a more exclusive salon, but I do hope that they fix their website to reflect their actual pricing. $78 gone. Lesson Learned. EDIT: the owner was gracious to respond to my review and gave me a full refund. Thank you for seeing and fixing this, Steele Salon.

I am not looking for dishonesty in a business. I left a review with the proof on fb and the owner Janelle, tried to tell me that her walls and floor are different colors in different areas of the salon since they clearly change colors in the filtered Yet there is a blue painting in all these pics that show it is a brown wall. Oh and be careful, you cannot leave an honest but bad review or the owner will threaten to sue you Not only that, they are making fake accounts to message me about it. Just brought my child to salon Avanti for a trim. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. The…read morestylist, Krista, was very nice to my son. The problem arose when we went to checkout. The receptionist said the charge was $20. Their website claims that children ages 0-5 are age x $2 so I was expecting to pay less than half of the price charged, which we've done before (see attached photo of pricing from their website). I understand that some stylists may charge more, but I should have been told that information when the appointment was scheduled, so that I could have made a more informed decision. I feel like that is a shady way of doing business. I think the best decision at this point would be to never refer or return to salon Avanti.
