Before we entered the restaurant we were "distracted" by the vibrant ice cream store in the same strip. We walked in and were overwhelmed with all the ice cream options. Speaking to the owner, he said his family owns the EL Primo Plaza. We were on a mission for food, but will definitely visit the ice cream store in the future (our plan was after dinner, but dinner was so delicious and so filling, there was no room for dessert this time...better planning next time!). The restaurant is in a Mexican convenience store, but this is not your typical Mexican convenience store. They had so many options for everything. And they have this great bakery in the back before the restaurant. Everything looked SO good! In the back is a full sit down restaurant. We were seated and it is nicely decorated and has a view into the kitchen to watch them make the food. Our server promptly greeted us with some chips and what I think was a mole sauce. They were very tasty. We decided on a watermelon drink and shared mixed fajitas. The watermelon drink was fresh watermelon and it was very refreshing. The mixed fajitas came out piping hot, full of steak chicken and good sized shrimp. Sometimes at other places you get the baby cocktail shrimp, but these were a good size and nicely grilled and seasoned. You get a nice amount of sides to make your fajitas. There was so much food that we asked for extra shells at no additional cost! We thought we put a dent in the food, but we had so much still to take home. Everything was so fresh and seasoned well. The meat was nice and tender. There was a good amount of peppers and onions but it wasn't overpowered as sometimes also we have gotten fajitas elsewhere when there is mostly veggies and very little meat. We were absolutely stuffed by the time we left. Very good. We have added it to the list of places to return.

We were given a sample of the M&M Chocolate Chip Cookie inside our Yelp shopping bags during our event at the Midtown Farmers Market last weekend. As we were making our rounds checking out the vendors I stopped by their booth. I was introduced to their cookies... a husband and wife team but only met the husband making the sales pitch. He said his wife is the baker and he was the problem... voilà! Problem Baker! LoL! Cute! He offered a special I couldn't resist as there were so many unique and delicious flavors and was hard to choose... a deal for 5/$25 + 1 free cookie for a total of 6. My choices included: Chocolate Chip Red Velvet Oreo Date Walnut Toffee Chocolate Chip Mocha Chip Oreo Cookies N Cream The cookies are large, handcrafted and the sweetness is just right, flavorful and yet not too sweet. Amazingly delicious. So glad I was able to try some. My family and I ate the cookies and immediately got in trouble for only buying two. They sent me back to the festival to get more, but the cookies were already sold out! I ran into them at the East Passyunk Car Show, but they move around South Jersey and Philly.
