On a recent trip to Bardstown road, Hey Tiger was the first shop we entered. Hey Tiger was also one of my favorite stores we visited on our morning exploring Bardstown. The store carries lots of trinkety items as well as some handcrafted goods and art, socks, art prints, and lots of clothing. There were clothing items for both men and women as well as a lot of great accessories. The prices seemed reasonable. If you have a bit of eclectic taste, you'll probably find something here that you like. The staff working the register were also super helpful and assisted us when it was time to check out. The store is small, but we were the only ones in the store at the time we entered. The staff were wearing a mask the entire time we were in the store. Hey Tiger will immediately draw your attention with its charm - or at least it did for me! We were just out and about in the Highlands boutique-hopping, when I spotted Hey Tiger. It's a very small shop, but they have cute clothing for women, little gifts like magnets, socks and keychains, and jewelry! The woman working in the shop was friendly and was willing to help us with whatever we needed. Don't let this tiny shop fool you. It has many treasures within it. I love going to Hey Tiger and looking at the jewelry and accessory options, though I've also bought art prints from this shop. Hey Tiger also carries vintage clothes, shoes and other fun, locally made items. "Local," in fact, is a big part of Hey Tiger -- one more reason to love it. When I've had a specific item in mind to find, I haven't been as successful at Hey Tiger. But I usually come away with a new favorite when I go in with an open mind. Some flashy feather earrings and a long metallic leaf necklace were unexpected additions to my jewelry box -- thanks to Hey Tiger -- along with a print of a hand drawing on top of an old book page. I guess this store should probably have more than 3 stars. As Emily H. said, it is surprising how much there is in this little store. They've done well, here. There is also a men's section. It's not exclusively women's clothing. I picked up a vintage t-shirt for $10. Pretty neat. I like that it's local. I like that it has unique items. The prices are a bit ridiculous, though. $28 for a new shirt? That's pretty steep. Because it doesn't have a huge variety, and because it is expensive, I rate it a 3 star. This is such a cute little shop in the Highlands. To be small- they have a lot of cool stuff. I have found a few vintage items at decent prices. The local jewelry selection is awesome and there are lots of fun gift items like coffee mugs and magnets. I've walked by this shop dozens of times, but never went in. I was out on a walk with my lady. It was a no-plans day and we were extending our walk around town. We decided to stop in here. The first thing that should be mentioned is that this isn't just a women's clothing store(as described by the Yelp page). There are definitely shirts for men and other items that might interests men. Entering this store... it seems small. Extra small. Freakishly small. Once you start walking around.. you start to see just how much stuff they have! They definitely utilize the space well. On this particular day I didn't buy anything, but I did see a couple of shirts that I wouldn't mind having. This would also be a great local spot to pick up a gift for someone. The prices vary. I'm eager to stop in again. I'd like to know how often they switch things out and add new things. Before visiting, I didn't know exactly what this shop was. I love this tiny shop nestled in the middle of the Highlands neighborhood on Bardstown Road. The owner has created such a fun and cute boutique filled with great finds for yourself and/or the perfect gift. I dig the mix of new and vintage that she offers. You can score a new tshirt made of the softest, most amazing blend (with lemurs printed on it) or pick up a previously loved chunky, vibrantly colored, 80s sweater that will make you feel like a million bucks. Hey Tiger has some decently priced jewelry, clever and fun socks, locally printed greeting cards (and some that aren't but still super great), smart looking pins, and lots of other interesting finds. Hey, Tiger! That sounds like an invitation. Well, heck it is! Come on in! Super cute store with some great and original accessories. There are new, original items and vintage stuff too. My daughter just had to have the cutest pocket watch necklace, fully functional, totally adorable and the price was definitely right on. Of course we didn't stop there, purchased a few more accessories and then returned a little later with my sister. By then it was PACKED so we left promising to return when it was less full. I've got a lucky streak going with this shop. 3 visits over the span of a year and 3 purchases of the exact items I was looking for. By the time I make a stop into Hey Tiger on any given mission for a particular item, I've usually gone to around to 5 or so different shops hoping one of them has the shoes or top I've envisioned in my mind and have just about given up on my ideal whatever. But, three times a charm and enough to make me realized that I need to just start going to Hey Tiger first when I embark on my ridiculously short time-crunch shopping missions. Whether it was the dainty purse with a touch of pink I needed for an event a year ago, the nice looking black boots without a heel in a size 8.5 I needed for another one a few months later, or the women's fur coat $20 and men's corduroy blazer $16 I had to have by the end of this week - Hey Tiger has had those items in stock. And their merchandise is usually not horribly overpriced. This store is a classic example of why bigger is not always better. The small size of the store lends itself to showcasing each of the items as special and unique cause - and it's not just that the layout allows for that, everything really is one of a kind. I find myself wanting to marvel at each one of the handmade accessories (you'll see a lot of Etsy cards), vintage and/or used clothes, shoes and bags. It seems there is curating, in a sense, that goes into filling up the racks, tables and windows of Hey Tiger. All that marveling wouldn't be good for those time crunches I mentioned earlier, but now that I know Hey Tiger's a go-to and not a last shot savior, I can spend my time here instead of wasting it running to and from other places. read more

This shop is a great local find. The main thing that drew us into this shop was the non-traditional Christmas sweaters on display in the window. I got one (some snowmen being attacked by a sea monster) and my sister got one (looked like Buddy Christ from the movie Dogma). There were others that we wanted but they were out of the sizes we needed. There was also a great selection of local artist prints and cards, winter hats, screen printed shirts and more. We had to stop shopping afterwards because nothing else could compare to the value of that dress. If that is what you are looking for than you will love this place (it reminds me of stores you find in trendy college towns). If you are looking for actual vintage, you won't find much here.
