While driving around our neighborhood, we caught sight of this new yogurt spot and ducked in to give it a try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is small but cheerful, and the menu has a lot going for it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The namesake yogurt drinks are front and center, but there are bingsoo versions (based on the Korean shaved ice dessert) and delectable looking desserts on the menu. For those new to yogurt drinks or the Hey Yogurt chain, I can approximate descriptions of the taste by comparing it to kefir or fruity yogurt, but this is truly its own thing - tart, tangy, and luscious. After my first sip (and the four more that I compulsively took after that, because it's pretty addictive), I found myself telling my husband, "It's such a happy tasting drink." There's some level of customization available. For instance, the strawberry yogurt drink we got was at half sweetness and there was an option to add more strawberries for an added surcharge. The half sweetness level was best for us, but the hardest part about coming here for the first time is trying to figure out what your version of a perfect drink might be. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a few narrow benches around the perimeter of the lobby space, which are probably a better fit for waiting and/or having a beverage than for having a full on dessert.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A posted sign recommended bingsoo customers eating their desserts immediately for optimal flavor, but there aren't any tables to comfortably sit and enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That said, the people are incredibly nice. While my husband and I enjoyed our drink, the guy at the counter overheard us chatting about the desserts and offered to show us some of their selections. This is Main Street on Hackensack, so the ease of finding parking will be subject to however many (paid) street parking spots are available (and I usually have to drive around at least a few minutes before finding one). read more

Writing as I took my first sip and fell in LOVE! First of all picking it up was a lovely interaction, the man there was so kind, wiping the cups for me before handing them to me, smiling the entire time. Tastes light and refreshing, reminds me of a tart frozen yogurt but a smoothie form. I recommend the matcha mango! And the cups are just too cute. :) read more

They specialize in yogurt drinks with fruit, matcha, and grain flavors. Yogurt offers many nutritional benefits; it's a great source of protein, vitamins, minerals, and probiotics. As a bonus, it's also delicious, making it the ideal guilt-free treat. They also sell cheesecake, croffles, and Boston pies. After hearing so much hype, I had to try them out. I visited the Hackensack location on Main Street on a weeknight. Street parking only! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small, modern, and clean shop with a few benches for seating. There aren't any tables or chairs, so it's better for grab-and-go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employee was a pleasure to speak with. I told him that it was my first time and he explained the menu and some of their most popular drinks. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. I ended up ordering the Passion Fruit Yogurt drink ($6.50). The plain yogurt was so refreshing on a hot summer day. It wasn't overly sweet - it was the right mix of tangy, sour, and creamy with a subtle sweetness. It was easy to drink because the consistency wasn't too thick. The passion fruit flavor wasn't as strong as I would have liked it to be, but the drink was delicious regardless. They even used real passion fruit seeds, which I loved. I have been waiting eagerly for the Hackensack location to open ever since i saw the sign taped to the window. This location is in the heart of Hackensack right on Main Street. There are plenty of (paid) street parking spots or there is a small lot in the back of the store right off Camden Street. I believe you can enter the store from the back door if you park in the lot. I went during their soft opening which was followed by their grand opening three days later. They are still offering grand opening specials until this Wednesday 9/25. I tried Dragonfruit (with low sugar) for the first time and it was a nice subtle sweetness. It's amazing to see how much Hey Yogurt has grown in popularity this past year. I'm glad they found a home in Hackensack for us locals to visit frequently! read more

Didn't know there was a new Hey Yogurt location so nearby! While we just missed their grand opening BOGO deal, we still got to try their new menu - Matcha and Strawberry Yogurt: I haven't seen this in any location! The Matcha is really subtle at first but once you let the yogurt melt, the Matcha flavor comes out and blends really nicely with the sweet Strawberry. The staff was also very welcoming and nice, which has been very different from other Hey Yogurt locations that are more self-service based. Can't wait to come again! read more

The mango cheesecake is delish! Its lightness is dangerous! I practically ate the whole thing in one sitting. The matcha tiramisu cheesecake was also good but nothing compared to the mango. The match lychee drink was ok. The flavor combo doesn't really mesh well. read more
