What a cute roll up ice cream spot! Space is limited with just a couple of benches to the side, as a waiting area, and front window high top seating. We patiently waited for a couple to leave before taking over. I did the mistake of not adding the free fruity pebbles toping until later because I just wanted to try the ice cream alone first, definitely great either way. I've visited JINN Ice cream rolls for years- for some reason, I never thought to review my favorite, calm, and local ice cream shop (??). Whenever I visit, I always make sure to order the mango flavor and strawberry flavor. Something about watching the employee crush fresh fruit into the cream is sublime. The taste is truly different when real fruit is added to the mix!! I always have to make a stop every month, so I highly recommend this store. PS. Stumbled upon this gem after dinner in the main street area. Very interesting flavors like avocado. Tried the smores please with a few toppings. The ice cream is rich and creamy .Very big portion and priced at 8$. I wish they had a smaller size for a cheaper price. It is too much ice cream for one person. Good for sharing though. read more

Oh gosh... Not sure how this place got 4.5 stars... This was the most bland tasting ice-cream I've ever had! (There's a metallic after-taste that still hasn't left my mouth even after an hour.) Granted, the Oreo ice-cream had more flavor than the Green Tea ice-cream, but so disappointing. A big waste of money ($8 + tax per cup; $17 for two). Great options for rolled ice cream in the Fort Lee area with a bunch of different yet simple options. We ordered a "Between you and me, it's a Thai" flavor which is basically Thai Iced Tea flavored ice cream which tasted pretty good. We topped it off with some graham crackers, sprinkles, boba, toasted marshmallow and condensed milk drizzle. I've been here multiple times. It's cut and small. I get the Equally matched everytime because i love matcha ice cream. They have a clear glass so you can watch them making and rolling the ice cream. This was my first time trying rolled ice cream, and Jinn made it a good experience! I got the Equally Matched (green tea and strawberry). The combo of these two flavors was really tasty. Rolled ice cream might be a bit less creamy than normal ice cream, but it was still soft enough to easily eat with a spoon. The $7 price was pretty good. Regarding the place itself, they didn't have any seats or tables available to sit inside, which was disappointing (it's a small spot). I liked how you can see the guy making the rolled ice cream right behind the counter. The service speed was pretty quick, and the lady behind the counter was very nice. It also wasn't too busy, even on a Saturday night. ocated on Main Street in Fort Lee, Jinn makes visually alluring ice cream rolls. Having caught a glimmer of one of their creations, a visit was made. Once inside, an order was placed for a "Between you and me, It's a Thai" and a "Kung Fu Panda (Black Sesame)". The open prep area allows one to see the creation of their order. It's definitely worth it to watch if you've never witnessed a "rolled" ice cream being born and created. Imagine mysterious liquids being poured on frigid cold tables, mixed with ingredients to aid in flavor, and then scraped to form rolls of deliciousness. Although the ice cream rolls are a work of art, I found the mouthfeel and flavors were unlike "traditional" ice cream. It was waxy and oily in an artificial way and the flavor notes/profile were coerced to mimic the true flavors of it's targeted flavor. I can only imagine what ingredients are used to achieve the visual show of "rolled" ice cream. It's definitely worth a visit if you've haven't experienced a "rolled ice cream" but for me, I'll prefer "homemade" ice cream made from simple ingredients of cream, milk and sugar. read more

*This is a review being written about three years late. I first and last came here with a friend when it had just opened. I remembered seeing a bunch of young boys who looked like they were 13 or 14, looking super nervous from inexperience. It took some time to get my order but I don't blame them since there were so many people and literally everyone was watching. I had a good experience and I think the ice cream was pretty tasty. Very busy spot on a Tuesday night. Ice cream is legit. Specialized so that's where the wait comes in but I highly recommend. Used to be able to watch them roll it but since the Panny, that fun is gone. Might be able to order ahead and pick up cause standing and waiting for 15-20mins ain't it. Delicious ice cream (possibly better than regular ice cream) and wonderful service. All of the workers there were very courteous and always do things with a smile. We got "Grandma's milk and cookies", which I loved. It could have used a bit more oreos, but that's a minor issue. I also really appreciated the unlimited toppings option. The only reason that it didn't get a full 5 stars was that $7 is a bit steep for what is essentially a single large scoop of ice cream (appears more since it's rolled). I've been wanting to try this place for a while. Tonight was the perfect night to take the kids on an ice cream run. I easily found street parking near the shop. The shop is modern and very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our group tried S'mores, Strawberry, and Cookies and Cream ice cream roll sundaes. It was fun watching how the ice cream rolls are made. The finished product was rich and flavorful and had a nice texture. Everyone in our group enjoyed their dessert and would like to return. This place was incredible. After driving around for hours with a late night i've cream craving, it was amazing to finally find a place that was honest about their hours online. The store was clean and the staff were very friendly and quick to both take and make our orders. As soon as my friend said which ice cream she wanted, the workers started making her ice cream before she even paid! They are super quick, and the ice cream is just delicious. I ordered the Unagi Don Gozen ($42)- it came with a whole tray of different delicious items, with the star of the show being a generous amount of unagi (eel) over rice. The eel was cooked very well and the rice was flavorful with a bit of sweetness. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

For instance, a traditional teahouse would have assorted rice, cakes and traditional, Korean desserts, however, I feel like this place used modern French pastries, and put a Korean twist on them, which I would say is not very Korean in reality. Baked goods were OK. It tasted stale. Losing a star for that as well.
