Working with KHP and her all-star team is not just a professional photography session but an experience that allows you to feel good about yourself and have that self shine in a way that feels completely authentic to you. I've had the pleasure of working with Olympia twice now -- once when I needed professionally styled headshots quite quickly for an upcoming feature/publication and once for a lifestyle shoot. To say that their product is top notch is an understatement -- no detail goes unthought of...from styling, hair and makeup, lighting, vision...and it all comes together with this fun, carefree, beautiful experience, working in their studio (and having fun as well) that makes this team worth every penny. They make it feel effortless. They also manage to compress entire sessions and selection process into short time span (though you wont feel rushed) ...genuinely, the work they do in terms of studio time would take most an entire day. A few months back, I logged into a Zoom call and noticed that my awesome headshots from that session didn't really look like me at all anymore. In this post-Covid lockdown world, as we might be tip-toeing slowly and carefully back to the world of in-person meetings and conferences, using an old headshot felt like a little bit of "bait and switch!" Let's face it, hair is longer, skin is still fabulous, but...I'm OLDER. Still awesome, still sassy, but I needed an update. This time I worked with the fabulous Olympia Roll (and again, why on earth would you make this investment without the professional makeup add-on specifically for the photographer?) who "got me" from the first minute. One thing I especially love is the super light touch on touchups and post-processing. These pictures look like me, not an air-brushed, over-filtered, a little too pose-y overly contrived version of me. Now I need to either write a book or run for office (or both! ha!) because she gave me photos that make me look and feel like a BOSS. Thank you!

We could not possibly be more pleased with her professionalism, attention to detail, personal touch, and overall cheerful demeanor. Every step of the process was stress-free, and Elissa even went above and beyond on several occasions by mailing us chocolate (always a plus), and helping us get an idea of what to expect from other parts of the wedding planning process completely unrelated to photography. Beyond her incredible diligence (all of our wedding photos were edited and posted online before we returned from our honeymoon), Elissa is also a very talented photographer who is very light on her feet. For the most part, we hardly noticed her presence (with the exception of some great, and amusing direction during the crazy family formal shots), but the photos indicate that she has a way of being everywhere at once! My mother-in-law actually expressed concern on the wedding day that she thought the entire ceremony had only been photographed from behind my wife, such that there would be no photos of her face during a very emotional event. When I saw that there were in fact gorgeous, artful and intimate photos from just about every angle--I was relieved and elated that my MOL's worries were proven to be baseless (aren't they always? haha). Elissa clearly takes great joy, and great pride in her work. I have no doubt that whatever you hire her to shoot, you will be blown away by the results.

I came across Chad almost three years ago and hired him for an event during SXSW which was absolutely madness. Not only did he arrive completely prepared to maximize the photos of the event, he did a video for me, you know, just for fun. It was outstanding. Since then, I've hired him for events no less than 15 times. He's super flexible, always early or on time for your gig, affordable, great with guests and making people feel at ease. He is also amenable to direction (e.g. list of product shots) which I've found is not always the case. As a somewhat professional event planner, it's crucial that I have the right person to capture the look and feel of the event, but also to make both consumers and businesses at the event happy. Chad makes that happen. HIs photos are always of the highest quality and his turnaround time is amazing, which is just perfect when you're trying to do quick follow up with event sponsors and attendees. I know when I've got Chad at an event, things are going to go smoothly and everyone's going to have a new profile pic. If you hire him now, you can be sure that in the future you'll be saying "Oh yeah, that guy shot my _________ before he was famous."

Trust me, it is NO easy task to get two adults, three kids under 12, and two dogs (a puppy and a senior) to get together in front of a camera - but Chad had plenty of strategies up his sleeve to pull it off! He took us to multiple different settings and got awesome shots of all seven of us together and apart each time. Not to mention he was responsive and prompt, easy to talk to, and had great energy with the dogs and kids - the kids said that he was their favorite photographer they've ever had! Someone who could work with the reserved nature of my husband and camera-awkwardness of myself for one. We came with our 1 month old baby and in between diaper changes and feedings, we went over our time slot. Luckily, no one else was booked after us. Skye was very helpful with telling us how to pose and setting up props for our baby. The photos came out great and she didn't pressure us into purchasing them.
