Rob and his team recently replaced the flooring in our entire home, and we couldn't be happier with the result. This was not an easy job. The house is 100+ years old, the floors are uneven, and there are weird angles everywhere. A few other contractors even declined the job because of it. The team finished the project on time (they would have been early if not for a snow storm) and exactly what they quoted it at -- no surprises. Oh, and the floors look GREAT. Throughout the process (2 weeks), they were professional, hardworking and kept me updated. Rob, the owner, was very involved from start to finish and made sure to check-in often. Not impressed . Rob and Ben came to my home to provide an estimate on carpet. It was rushed, incomplete, and unprofessional. During the sales process of showing me samples both men were on their cell phones. I was shown a carpet sample and told everyone is selecting this corn material. When i questioned the details of the corn carpet, Ben said its the same corn that you leave on your dinner plate. Nothing was explained as to the differences of nylon vrs corn. Rob asked me to write down my email so he could email me a quote. I still haven't received an email with a quote and its been a day. My advice, slow down, shut off your cell phones, and build some trust with your customers. read more

Update: A few days after I posted my review about Hi Altitude Flooring, I had an issue with my furnace. I texted the number I had for Hi Altitude Flooring (thinking I was communicating with Rob) and there was an exchange of texts back and forth. I couldn't figure out how to turn on the furnace and he offered to come over the next day and turn it on for me. I said, no, that's above and beyond and not necessary and said "Thanks Rob" (that's the owner) and he wrote back "I'm not Rob. I'm Beto. LOL." I have to say, what a great company. Caveat, I'm a perfectionist. We were recommended Hi-Altitude from an inspector upon moving to Denver from Southern California. This review while posted now is from work done in 2015-2016. They did a great job with the tile but the carpet than we picked and the flooring hasn't shined over the past three and half years post install. Over $20K worth of business essentially the entire 3 plus level house was given to Rob and Hi-Altitude. Specifics include carpet (mohawk) with prominent seam marks in nearly every room they installed carpet which was about 75% of the house. Seam marks not hidden at edges but in centers of rooms. The wood flooring in the living room area was really installed with little imagination for the final outcome. just get it done. Small insert boards in the center of the room in odd places. We additionally hired them to do moulding/baseboards and painting in some areas after install and that experience was a nightmare Rob, tried to make some of it right but realized he was never going to reinstall any mistakes. He prides himself on communication but some "discussions" we should have had were never broached. Honestly in a world where just alright is well just alright Hi-Altitude is fine. If you want exceeds expectations go somewhere else. read more

After meeting with several flooring contractors I decided to hire Rob. His prices were a little more than what I wanted to spend but he was very professional and always promptly responded to my inquiries. Additionally, he showed up on time for my initial consultation which is huge in my book. He brought samples of cork flooring for me to look at while he took measurements. I found the exact color that I wanted and a week later I gave a deposit for him to order the materials and schedule an appointment for the installation. His installer, Ed, did an amazing job and was very personable as well. My tile floor in the kitchen/dining room is a bit higher than the new flooring that was installed so the transition wasn't ideal. The transition strips that came with the cork floor just didn't do it for me and I felt that there was a better solution. After some discussion with Rob he said that he was going to purchase some wood transition strips and install them as if her were doing it in his own home. The end result is perfect. He stained the wood with a color that perfectly compliments the rest of the floor and tile. I highly recommend Hi-Altitude Flooring and will definitely be in touch with him in the future for additional projects. Thank you both Rob and Ed. You did a fantastic job!! read more
