The office is immaculate and decked-out with the most up-to-date equipment, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, everyone is transparent about prices and insurance coverage, and Dr. Greene himself always seems to be up to date on his research, implementing some sort of new technology or method. I am a bit of a science nerd so I'm always asking questions throughout each procedure and he is always more than happy to discuss and explain! Also, all of the hygienists are superb. I always have Ali when I come in for checkups and honestly, it feels like I'm just coming to hang out with a good friend (who just so happens to know how to clean teeth)! She's super friendly and caring (somehow she always remembers the last things we talked about six months prior), and so gentle when working, which I really appreciate. She is fantastic! I have had some very negative experiences with dentists and hygienists in the past that sort of scarred me for life, and I always dreaded going to my check-ups. I can honestly say that I feel so comfortable at Dr. Greene's I look forward to my regular cleanings (and I could probably fall asleep in the chair). Highly, highly recommend!

These people could not care less about their patients. When I first started going to them, I was…read moreassigned to a dentist there who wasn't even on their list when you called to make an appointment. So, someone very, very new. I had a tooth that was, apparently, badly infected, so this dentist performed a root canal on it. But when he made the crown for the tooth, it was way too big. And I mean massive. So massive that it filled the entire spot below it, where another crown was supposed to go. I told him the crown he made was too big, pointed out how it was so huge it would be impossible to fit the other crown below it. He did not listen. Just brushed me off and said that the computer had modeled the crown after my real tooth, so they would fit together just fine. Fastforward to a week later, when I had to have the lower crown fit in. Guess what? The monstrously huge upper crown was too big. It blocked the lower one. The poor dentist who was in charge of the lower crown kept shaving it down until it was almost nothing, trying to make it fit. I finally told him to stop, that it was useless because the upper crown was too big. I called this office again, Norwich Family Dental Associates at 17 Lafeyette, and told them AGAIN that their crown was too big. The had me come in, shaved the massive upper crown down. Then, fastforward to another week later (roughly) and I get a call from them out of the blue telling me to come in because they needed to inspect the crown they'd put in. I go in and guess what? Turns out, they had to replace it because oh gee, wouldn't you know, it was too big. Like I had told them it was FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. So, they had to give me a new crown. But not before the lower one had been shaved down to almost nothing in an effort to compensate for THEIR mistake. I still had a few fillings that needed to be done. Same guy who did the upper crown, because once they just assign you to the dentist that can fit you in the soonest, he's just automatically who they give you every time. And he was apparently new, so they just funneled new patients to him. During a filling, the Novocain he gave me didn't work. I felt everything. And it hurt. Badly. He gave me another injection of Novocain, but with the same result. It. Didn't. Work. Third time's the charm, right? Wrong. It still didn't work. So, I can only assume he was injecting it in the wrong spot. But it didn't matter. After his third attempt didn't dull the pain he just kept on working and I had to clench my fists and bear it the whole time. All of this happened around 2022, 2023. Now it's 2025. The dentist I had been seeing there a couple years ago was gone. So, I was assigned to a different guy. I go back because a crown I had (different tooth), popped out during flossing. I go there just to have it recemented. Well, when I go to have this done, wouldn't you know, the tooth next to it has a cavity beneath the crown. But the cavity? It was found on an x-ray that had been taken ALL the way back in 2022. But the guy I'd been seeing then just hadn't caught it. So, it festered. For years. And you know they kicked? I had actually gone into the office a few months prior to this cavity being found, wanting all teeth x-rayed because I knew something was wrong. They brushed me off, said it was too soon for a full dental x-ray and that it wasn't due for another TWO YEARS. The cavity could have been found THEN, too. But no. They brushed me off, like always. By the time they remove the crown and see the damage, most of the tooth was lost. Did they still charge me for THEIR mistake? You bet they did. Did they give me anything for the pain in my gums caused by the TEMPORARY fix they did? Of course they didn't. Just told me to come back in and give them MORE money (that of course I can't afford) to see what's going on with the tooth because it still ached. And if I did, naturally they'd tell me some other asininely expensive procedure would be needed to fix it. I tried to tell them it probably hurts because, due to other medical conditions atm, I just heal slowly. But of course, their go to is to just have me come in. Again. And give them more money. I'm done. With this office. With it all. I'm done.

It's at the point where I will be switching to another provider. The most recent issues are as follows. Due to an infection I was told I needed a root canal. The procedure was performed by an outside provider and the experience was horrible. At no point did that dentist seem to care about my discomfort and anxiety. After completing that procedure I was told I needed a crown. They never informed me ahead of time that I would need that. As I was checking out I was told, " of course, whenever you have a root canal you need a crown"! No consideration was given to inform me of this before the root canal so I could plan accordingly. Understand that both of these procedures are expensive (even with insurance). I then go ahead with the crown appointment. As the dentist begins the procedure I question why he's working on a different tooth. This is when I'm told that the tooth I had the root canal worked on already had a crown on it and that the tooth he was currently working on needed a crown. Shouldn't I have been told during scheduling that the crown was for a different tooth? I most likely would have chosen to pay off one procedure before scheduling the next procedure since it wasn't an emergency. Shortly after going through all this I then receive a phone call from the dentist himself, asking if I'd like to set up work on another tooth!! In all the years I've been going to a dentist, never has the dentist contacted me directlv about future procedures! This is when I feel this dental office has become more about getting money from patients than their care and needs. Fast forward to my most recent appointment. I'm scheduled for a replacement crown (the one I had cracked). I was told to plan on an hour and a half. This dentist makes the crown in their office so I was made aware that there would be about a half hour or so that I would be waiting for it to made. However, as I Wait and Wait and Wait, I can hear my dentist working on another patient in the next room. He finally comes back to me to finish. It was now 3 HOURS LATER!!! RIDICULOUS!!! At no point during this time did an assistant or the dentist check in with me or give me an explanation. It was as if I didn't exist!! It sure seems like he's double dipping to make more money by scheduling one patient between another patient! I guess he doesn't feel my TIME is worth anything!! WRONG. I will be moving on to a provider that genuinely cares and communicates clearly with their patients. I would think twice before going to this office!

Horrible. I've been coming here for many years, along with my family. It's gone down hill fast…read moresince Dr. Gusar retired. Recently I had a cracked molar that needed a root canal. Neither dentist in this practice can perform a root canal, which is obviously subpar. So I needed to wait 3 weeks to get the procedure from a visiting endodontist they contract with, who only works there half a day every other week. I suffered for 3 weeks and was not offered any pain control other than ibuprofen. Meanwhile I developed a big abscess which caused even more pain. When I finally had the procedure, it was intensely painful due to the abscess, which makes lidocaine less effective. Afterwards there was again no pain medication offered, just advice to take ibuprofen which is totally inadequate. I also was told to get the tooth crowned or capped as soon as possible or it might crack more and need removal. But guess what? The soonest appointment they could give me for that was 2 weeks out. I've spent many tens of thousands of dollars at this practice over the years, in cash, but this is it for me. Moving on. Never again. When you need them, they aren't there for you.

Dawn has 30+ years in that office and was sympathetic to my situation. This is a long post for those who have trauma or sensory issues - please read. I went to this office because I am an adult with trauma. I didn't go to the dentist until I was 11 and having my teeth cleaned took 4x due to swelling and cavities. It was horrific. Recently I had a crown at Aspen Dental after leaving a dentist in Griswold due to coverage changes and they said I had $12K of work to be done with cracked teeth that didn't show on xrays (later found out upon returning to Griswold Dentist). They did the first crown at Aspen and I had unexplainable trauma as I started to cry and felt a panic attack. I also had wisdom teeth out when I was 20 and they gave me a shot of novocaine to the roof of my pallet that I almost passed out as I suffer from sensory issues. Later, I found out later this is one of the main reasons women have trauma in a chair from sexual trauma and I was molested and raped when I was younger. So, I knew I needed to have potential laughing gas (nitrous oxide) and wanted a dentist that is emphatic and understood the situation. Dr. Tran had Ashley assist in the procedure and she was very nice and understood my needs. I brought earbuds and listened to music so I didn't hear them. Dr. Tran and I talked before about the complexities of my issues and she was so sympathetic and touched by what I shared - not making me feel bad for having hangups about my needs. During the procedure, she explained everything but I didn't want to know and said to just do it. She did not have to give me a shot to the roof of my mouth, nor did I need nitrous. I needed trust in knowing I was safe. I had a major abscess in that tooth and it's been 1 week out and I am thrilled to say I feel great. I would drive for hours to see her if needed. She's an incredible person....and an expert in her field. I can't say enough good things about this office. I have a child with sensory issues and know Parents are always looking for experts in field who can work with those that are sensitive - she and their office would be the ones that fit this need. Thank you to the entire staff for creating an environment of psychological safety and learning about the whole patient. With gratitude, Suzanne Arena

From the moment I walked in, the ladies at the front desk were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful--setting the tone for a truly positive experience. Dr. Katzoff saw me quickly, assessed the situation, and immediately offered reassurance that the issues could be fixed--and that I wouldn't have further problems once they were properly addressed. I chose to wait about a week and a half for my new insurance to take effect, and then I returned to have the work done. From the moment the procedure was completed, I could tell it had been done right this time. Fillings that had previously fallen out were replaced and felt completely normal again. A more serious issue with a molar in the back--something that had been causing sharp pain when chewing--was also corrected. The pain is now gone, and the poorly done fillings were fully and properly replaced. We were also on a tight schedule, as my family and I were preparing to leave for vacation, and the office went out of their way to accommodate us. I'm genuinely thankful for the professionalism, skill, and care shown by Dr. Katzoff and his entire team. I look forward to returning regularly for cleanings and continuing my dental care with a practice I trust.
