The restaurant being a chain is like all the others so nothing really exciting ambiance-wise, and I sat at a booth people watching while waiting for my dinner. I still feel like a wondrous rarity when going out to eat alone: it's like nobody's seen others ( especially women) dining solo. Besides the looks from people not eating alone, not much else was going on; service was fine at the start but then my server/helper/ waitress vanished and waited a while to get her attention back. The floors are extremely dirty along with the walls, and most of the booth seats are ripped and taped. It looks as though the restaurant hadn't been cleaned in years. If the front of the house looks this bad I'm almost afraid to know what the back of the house looks like. Well tonight I decided to get my favorites mozzarella sticks, and bourbon street steak, the rest of the family got the cheeseburgers and other various appetizers. The nice waitress asked me what I wanted to drink and I had to make four selections before they had one that was even available to drink. Then halfway through the meal even what I was drinking ran out ...you just can't make stuff like this up. So while waiting on food which is approximately 30 minutes from the time of order the rest of my family's food came out the burgers the appetizers absolutely nothing wrong and then I asked for my Bourbon street steak. The waitress looked at me like I was crazy, then I said you forgot it didn't you. She immediately ran off from the table, and then came back and told me that they had made it and a doordasher came and got my food so they gave it away. I was going to tell her just forget it and I didn't want it now because I knew it was going to be a problem, she said no I've already put it back in. At this point I didn't want to wait another 15-20 minutes for a steak and I knew it was going to be rushed and was going to turn out bad, well in less than 10 minutes it comes out, completely wrong, tasting nothing like I expected it to in a pile of grease with garlic mash. It also had raw chunks of potato in it. Since I was starving, I masticated the raw animal flesh to the best of my ability. It was nothing like I remembered it was meh, probably the worst steak I've had in months. When the server came back she did not offer anything, no manager was called, nothing was taken off, everything was fully priced and the experience just plain sucked. So looking back, my separation from Applebee's was the right choice and tonight I finally signed the divorce papers I'll never be back. Shame Applebee's you need to clean up your act before you go bankrupt. I beg the public... go to a different Applebee's avoid this one at all cost!!

The food is definitely worth taking home and eating it. If you have time, the buffet line is worth the price. This is a casual environment with a lot of TVs to watch. Take your time and have a relaxed meal. If you have a large group, call ahead and reserve the back room.
