Sakura Buffet is a wonderful addition to the area! Having just opened in mid-May under new ownership, they have done an excellent job taking over the business from the former owner and creating a fresh, welcoming dining experience. The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. The ambience is wonderful, with a clean, stylish, and comfortable atmosphere that makes dining here enjoyable. Everything is well-maintained and spotless. The sushi station is fresh and beautifully presented, and the hibachi grill is a great feature that adds to the experience. One thing that really impressed me was how well the buffet stations are maintained--they are constantly being replenished, so everything stays fresh and plentiful throughout the meal. They offer a great variety of food, including New York-style Chinese favorites. The egg rolls were especially delicious and reminded me of the classic New York Chinese restaurants I grew up with. If you're looking for a clean, attractive buffet with friendly service, fresh sushi, excellent hibachi, and plenty of tasty options, Sakura Buffet is definitely worth a visit. During a time when buffet style restaurants are closing up, I was pleasantly surprised by the food selection and cleanliness of this restaurant. While some folks think a buffet is a place to pig out on cheap food, I look for variety and care in the preparation of the dishes and the ability to try different items. I like this buffet. No, it is not cheap, but the food is well prepared, tasty, hot and everything is kept clean. The different hot and cold offerings satisfy both my hunger and curiosity. I found the servers quickly and efficiently removed empty plates and kept drink glasses filled. Though I did not eat my cost of the buffet, I ate what I wanted, was not hurried and thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. I will be back! read more

Black ceiling provides a rather gloomy atmosphere upon entry. An Unexciting bland menu is the kindest description of the lunch spread. I tried most items and was met with meh. The hot oil is oil with a reddish mass and no flavor. The spring roll had the texture of made in Spring and left till Fall. General Tso's chicken was mushy, sweet and bland. The mussels were labeled as cooked in bean sauce but were sitting in a pan of hot water. No sauce and no flavor. I liked the lychees,which were poured out of by can, were mercifully untouched by the chef. Green beans were a surprise. Not pretty but had crunch and flavor. The staff were prompt at removing used plates and deserve better food to serve. The dinner spread might be better and the idea of having a real hibachi in the place would give some authority to the name. Walking into the hibachi buffet (yelp claims this place is a burffet, but it seemed more a buffet to me unless I missed something) I would have liked to see perhaps some pictures of waterfalls where the water appears to be moving and a lucky cat waving hello. Instead the walls were drab and there was dropping crepe paper all over the place. They offer a hibachi included in the buffet price. I found the selection of meats, veggies, and sauce, to be plentiful. The flavor was a bit bland for my taste, but decent. I had beef with teriyaki sauce and my partner had shrimp with Mongolian sauce. The sushi wasn't impressive. Every roll was just a combination of imitation crab with some other ingredient. The avocado wasn't ripe and was way too firm. The selection at the buffet was lackluster. They seemed to waste a few spots with random items such as two different kinds of pickles, and apples floating in water. I didn't see any sweet and sour, general tsaos, or other items one expects to see at a Chinese buffet. However, the food they did have was the best food I've ever eaten at a Chinese buffet. I particularly liked the chicken in peanut sauce and the Hong Kong chicken. The service was not great. The waitress never refilled my drink. There was a drink machine and I wasn't sure if I was allowed to use but my thirst overcame me and I did anyways. read more

Very good buffet options and plenty of seating. The food was hot and well stocked, although the quality was about what you would expect from a low priced buffet. If I could give less than 1 star I would. They have 1 table of "hot" food and 1 table of cold food. There was barely anything. The food was bland and you had to ask for white rice ( which I will say they did go in the back to get if you requested it) honestly I have no idea how this place is in business. Not from the area so im sure the locals know how bad this place must be since there was no one here on a Friday at 7pm. The waitress we had was extremely rude. My boyfriend and I weren't served drinks so we figured that we had to get them ourselves, seeing as the drink machine was out in the open. She came to our table after we got our drinks and she looked at us and rolled her eyes angrily. There was no sign on the machine saying it wasn't self serve or anything of the sort so I was already irritated that it was the start to my visit. They could use some more variety with their food, but I highly suggest the snow chicken. It's delicious! The decor around the place is absolutely awful. The ceiling has birthday party streamers as decorations and half of them are ripped and/or falling off and flowing. It literally looks like they went to the dollar store 15 years ago and bought them. Reasonable prices. Buffet is outstanding if you are a fan of great "Hot'n Sour" soup, coconut shrimp, boneless spare ribs, mussels, fried rice, Lo Mein and egg rolls. More than adequate and it is instantaneous for eating in a short time. They have a Sushi server that is very good also with vegetable and fish varieties. They have a salad,fruit and desert bar. Coffee upon request. The spelling here should be corrected to be "buffet" There is Hibachi service for those wanting to construct their own meal. The buffet is my first choice and like all buffets not everything is to the personal liking but they are very consistent with what I like. Seriously...from the decor to the music and especially to the food, hibachi buffet will delight all of your senses, especially your taste buds. The streamers however need a serious update, they're a little dusty and they hang right above where the food is sitting. Before I ate here, using chopsticks in public was a nightmare for me as I didn't want to be embarrassed in front of some of my more "cultured" friends.
