I really like this restaurant & have eaten here many times . Nice inside with many tables, also very quick and attentive service. Decent sized parking lot. Right across the street from Price Chopper complex, it by Burger King. Full bar, but I get the included hot tea. There are really only 2 things I have to say about it: In my opinion in the Berkshires, it is by far the best in terms of quality, flavors and perfectly well seasoned dishes. Very consistent food quality. Second, their weekday Lunch Specials which include soup and white or brown rice are a good/great value for Lenox specifically and this area in general. Food was great and delicious. We had amazing fish cod fillet, ginger duck , vegetable steamed dumplings and egg drop soup. We're 4 and this orders really satisfied our brunch craving. so first off it took 15 minutes to seat us when the restuarnt was empty. Then it took them 45 minutes to take our order and blocked the door every time we tried to go outside. Then there were no cherrys in the shirley temples. and they would bring the food out in very small incraments every 30 minutes. We were here for hours!!! Comfortable place - mediocre food. Reception was pleasant and attentive. I enjoyed the fried won ton. appetizers OK Two of the main courses were average. The spicy stir fried Szechuan tofu was cubed uncooked tofu served in a lukewarm sauce. Did not eat it. I certainly wish the business to be successful. Excellent food in the Berkshires. We only experienced the "take out" experience as it was Christmas night of 2021 and we were only eating back at our hotel room did to the pandemic. But the next time we visit we will definitely eat there in person. Variety of choices all well prepared and providing choices you usually only can find in a much bigger city. read more

We eat here regularly in the summer and the food is consistently excellent. The usual big menu...recommend the tangerine beef, steamed dumplings, but have been happy with everything. We tried the Panda House Restaurant for the first time and found the food cooked to perfection, very tasty with ample portions. We selected three entrees but the selections were difficult to make as the menu had a huge array of many popular Chinese dishes. Service was quick, friendly with very little intrusion during the meal, however they were nearby if needed. They were also helpful in making our food selections. I will definitely return for another meal when I get a craving for Chinese food or simply want a great meal! read more

We picked up a to go order last week. The restaurant followed COVID-19 guidelines very well and our order was packaged correctly. They handled our order properly and it was fresh as well as hot. Shrimp fried rice was delicious. Each dish we ordered included white rice (which we didn't know). The portions were large and all of the dishes were seasoned well. We just needed a place open after 9 pm, and were very pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the Panda House menu! Much better than most American Chinese restaurants with extra breading on everything. The Kung Pao Chicken was quite different than the usual versions: drier (ie not a lot of sticky sauce), with some sautéed zucchini tossed with the peanuts and water chestnuts. The Ginger Chicken and Green Beans was really nicely seasoned; slivered white meat in a not-too-strong sauce. The Sesame Chicken got high marks from our daughter. Appetizers brought before plates. No water. In near empty restaurant no responsiveness. Waited an excruciating hour for main course and gave up. Another table leaving when we did had similar experience. Worst of all for a long time customer? No apology offered. No explanation. New owners?? If I could give this place a 0 I would. My husband got Salmonella Poisoning after eating the General Tsaos chicken. After several doctor visits, it's been confirmed. We noticed that the wontons sit out on the tables before they place them on your table. This should have tipped us off to their general food practices, but we decided to give this place a chance. I have eaten at the Panda House many times over the years and have always been very happy. The food is great. Sadly my last experience on 10/03/22 was very disappointing. The food was up to par and we were enjoying a nice dinner. The the waitstaff was attentive and gracious. The evening was spoiled by the owner or manager on duty. Anxious to close, he came to our table as we were still eating, and aggressively asked cash or credit card. We hadn't even received our bill. We replied that when we finish our meal we will let him know. He then said you can give me cash now if like. So Rude... We sent him away and finished our meal in haste. Closing time as per the website is 9:30pm. We arrived at 8:10, ordered right away and looked forward to an enjoyable evening.....not the case. It was 9:00pm when we were rudely pressured to depart. I wish they delivered and that the prices were a little lower but it is better quality than all the other Chinese takeout in the area so at least you get better food for the money. The crab rangoons and spring rolls are delicious. They also have great fried rice and lo mein. I'm sensitive to msg and never have a problem with their food. I also don't like overly sweet Chinese food and theirs is tasty without too much sugar or corn syrup. The service is efficient but not exceptionally friendly.
