The great selection of dishes includes the regular favorites and often new recipes. Their fresh fruit and desert choices are very nice always. They consistently have the best fresh shrimp in town. I always believe you need to hit a buffet at the optimal meal time to get anything fresh so we went at 7pm for dinner. The food looked horrible, reheated and was not replenished as needed. I asked repeatedly for sweet and sour sauce which was empty and by the time I left it was not refilled. The dumplings were fried and stale. Drinks were not refilled. Most chinese restaurants have excellent customer service. Here we were nothing more than a nuisance. The only thing I would recommend is the ice cream. Delicious. I have yet to find a decent buffet here in Pittsfield if anyone could tell me about one I'd greatly appreciate it. $9.99 for dinner read more

No, no, no. We stopped for dinner with a huge group of about 20 people, and half of them refused to eat anything after looking at the buffet. We only stayed because part of the group had gotten there before us and had already started eating. I filled my plate with small amounts of many things and didn't take more than one bite of any item. Much of the "hot" buffet food, even the meat dishes, were actually served at room temperature. The vegetables were also lukewarm and soaked in oil. I was starving, so I stuck with plain rice and noodles, and even that was pretty bad. One person in our group actually dared to eat the sushi (he lives in Wyoming, so what does he know?) and I can't believe it didn't make him sick. So, I wouldn't suggest coming here unless you work for the Department of Health. Never again. read more

My fault for picking buffet at 845 pm Sunday evening during a Patriots game, we were the only people there (probably only customers in the past several hours). Played the hand we were dealt with the food, picked our way through the items to piece together enough to fill our basic needs. By this point, most of the meat had turned to jerky. The negatives: Limited selection and food was mediocre Hibachi looked to be fresh option but was closed along with sushi station I found the food to be overly salty (maybe cooking off the juices made them extra concentrated) The positives: The ice cream station has 12 flavors of real ice cream (not soft serve) but no toppings. Soft drinks are serve yourself so you're not waiting for the server. Fruit and salad bar were surprisingly fresh. Didn't get sick after eating here. Waiter gave us a handful of fortune cookies on our way out. Overall, this place earned 2 stars for filling our basic hunger needs (and the ice cream) without getting us sick. If they add a full sundae topping bar, I'd give it 3.5 stars and say it's worth the $10 for that alone. read more

This place was very so-so. We went for the buffet on a Wednesday night about 7pm. The standard Chinese food was pretty good (chicken with broccoli, boneless spare ribs.) They offered clams which were good but the sauce they were in was slimy and made it hard to eat. The donuts were rock hard which bummed us out. They offered a sushi bar but in my opinion I would never get sushi at a buffet. That's like buying it at a gas station. I noticed they weren't very vigilant on keeping everything stocked as there were many things I couldn't try because the tray was empty. When it came to desert there was hair in the ice cream. The ice cream they offer is hard so every time someone bends over the ice cream to get there fill, they shed into it. Bad system. I should have listened to my boyfriend and not have gone here. I have been eating here for years and it has been ok. My boyfriend has been boycotting this place since an incident last Christmas. My son works next door to it and has told me repeatedly about how disgusting the back is...he refuses to eat there too. I should have listened to both of them and not gone. As for the staff, the reason my boyfriend has been boycotting the place is because the day before or after Christmas we were there and we overheard an incident at the front desk. The employee at the desk was loudly berating a woman (elderly) about paying her 11 dollar check. She had accidentally left her money at home. She was offering to leave her license and/or her purse and she would go to her home close by to bring the money to them. The employee continued to yell at her and the woman was close to tears. At this point a big tattooed bully came out of the back to strong arm her. This woman had to be in her seventies or eighties. My boyfriend was furious. He went up and asked how much she owed and when he found out it was a mere 11 dollars he took out his wallet and paid for her. The man angrily took the money and the grateful woman was able to leave. Shame on them...it was a disgusting situation. I am on my son and boyfriend's side. After getting horribly sick and taking the incident into consideration...I will never go back. read more

They recently added a Sushi bar... and the Sushi is fairly good... For vacation my family went to this restaurant as a group, when we entered the employees were showing a very bad attitude getting mad at the slightest things. The food quality was terrible and barely had any selections. Also the restaurant had no sanitary conditions at all. When we were ready to leave they gave us our check, which was the total amount of money (which turned out to be a huge rip off ) written on a piece of paper with no specifications on what we ordered or how much they charged for each person. Then we asked for a full written check with all of the things, then again showing an attitude the waiter grabbed the "check" with force and an angry face. If there was a way I could give this place -5 stars I would. I just walked out of there because their sewer was backed up and flooded all over the floor, and they were still serving food! I went up to the front desk to tell them that this was absolutely deplorable, and we were leaving. They still wanted me to pay! I told them that they should be shut down, and there was no way I was paying. There were tables of families eating in there. My son was splashing around in raw sewage at the buffet tables! So I walked out and called the police. They are there now with the fire department for a hazardous call. Shame on them for staying open and taking people's money. They could kill someone! It's rather odd to see pizza on a buffet at a Chinese restaurant but after seeing pudding placed directly inbetween chicken and fried rice you have to wonder if you should go for the buffet or order off the menu. I opted for the buffet one time and each subsequent visit I ordered off the extensive menu. Vegetarians will be disappointed by the options on the buffet, but will enjoy items off the menu instead. The Long Life Vegetarian (steamed veggies and tofu over rice) is excellent. The price is right on the buffet but I prefer a similar buffet in North Adams over this Pittsfield offering. read more

went last night with my daughter and it was the most horrible experience ever! the food was terrible! it tasted as if it had been out since the morning. it was spoiled and after two bites we decided to go speak to manager.we told them the food tasted bad and there was no food options (didn't even have rice!) which is just weird being that it is a Chinese buffet. they were very rude and made a scene telling us we had to pay full price so we walked out. the manager and waitress followed us outside and continued to argue with us. we told them that we were only there for just a few minutes and only ate a few bites of spoiled food and refused to pay full price for that. they totally did not understand the meaning of customer service or that the customer is always right. it was completely embarrassing! then they followed us to our car and took our plate number and sent the police to our home. what an unbelievable experience! they should be shut down for such service and bad food! the only person i would suggest go there is the board of health.i would never recommend this place to anyone!!! read more
