Fast forward to the next morning, desperately calling everyone in town for the part -- nothing. As a last-ditch effort I expanded my search and contacted VanWall in Indianola. Lo-and-behold they could get the part on order from Germany and even drove up to Des Moines with a trailer to pick me up! From there it just got better. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me, helping me store my luggage and giving me a desk to sit at. A couple of employees, upon hearing my story, even offered to let me stay with them! -- and let's be honest here, a Hall sensor is not exactly a big ticket item. When part came in the next morning the BMW tech had it installed and wired by the time I caught a ride from the manager back into town. Now I'm no spring chicken when it comes to bikes and I've dealt with my fair share of good shops. NONE of them come close to the experience I had with VanWall. If you ride bikes, atvs, or scooters do yourself a favor and pay them a visit!

They explained their shipping costs are set by the price of items, not by weight and size. I've experienced much better service from other places, so no, I wouldn't recommend these guys.

It didn't seem as if they were in a rush to sell me anything but instead allowed me to take my time and answered any questions I had about situational riding for specific bikes. I had to bring it back 4 times over 9 months because it never worked or shifted as it should. While in their possession they damaged paint and decals on hood and fender. They do not take responsibility. They blame the manufacturer & the district manager rather than making it right. I would have been better off junking it than having the fix it. Buyer beware.

The spent 3 1/2 months chasing an issue and spent $561 on parts and $440 on labor. In November they informed me it was fixed. I brought it home and it didn't not make it a week, so I took it back. Another 4 months and I was informed it was once again fixed. This time I paid $284 in parts and $170 and it did not even start to load it on my trailer. We pushed it on the trailer and I took it home. I dropped it off at another place and in one week thay had it back to me and stated there was 1/2 gallon of water in the gas, nothing else. It now is on my farm and running like it is brand new. On a positive Clint the service manager and Ron the mechanic were very nice and communicated with me regularly. The General manager blamed the HISUN product.
