The garden and outdoor section is plentiful and there are lots of "fixer uppers" and items that can be salvaged, reclaimed & upcycled if you have the time and talent! She also had pre-selected several vintage six-panel doors for my review. Once on site, the Caravati team made my problems and challenges their own, finding a perfect pair industrial nickel-plated handles for my old oak icebox project and then eagerly volunteering to do some work to convert them from working levers to rigid pulls. Stocking vintage hardware and architectural pieces is one thing. Helping clients actually pull together the PERFECT sets of door hardware -- including glass knobs, backplates, mortise locks, catches, hinges, and screws is next level. If I had to chose one word to describe this place it would be: RUSTY! But it's cool rusty stuff!! Old vintage signs, well pumps, antique tools, wheelbarrows, gasoline cans, old milk cans, farm gear, outdoor furniture, huge wooden barrels and the like. Inside it's rather dim and dusty. You'll find some vintage vinyl records, lamps, cast iron kettles and pans, vintage fire trucks, some old rifles and a few display cases with lighters, pocket knives, toys and other odds & ends. The owner, Joe, is a cool dude, with a long beard that lives up to the "raider" pirate image. He has a few Raiders helmets here and there which made me chuckle! His shop really warrants 2 stars, and no arrrrgh-guing about that! But he was so nice and personable that he earned an extra star! How's that for pirates booty?
