Richmond and the surrounding counties are chock fulls of fabulous antique, consignment and thrift…read moreshops. I've probably been to them all! Of all the places I've been, I'd venture to say, this huge mall of booths just may be my favorite! The mazes of vendors seem to go on forever, but each one is artfully designed. The owners of these booths take their time to creatively display their wares and as a shopper, it makes it so much easier to see what they have to offer! There's also an upstairs floor, which can get a bit warm in the summer but they usually have the fans on up there. I get so inspired as I meander "through the garden gate" antique shop. Much of the furniture is upscaled, recycled, refurbished and repurposed. I've gotten several gorgeous pieces here. There's loads of shabby chic, retro, country, romantic, rustic ... whatever your style. The creative designs and décor will get you in the nesting mood. The gardener in you will be delighted at the beautiful urns, wrought iron, plant stands, wreaths, bird houses/feeders, statues and more. You will see quilts, jewelry, glassware, tools, figurines, clothes, art... the list goes on. But one of the best things about this shop, is that there's a little restaurant in the middle of the store! So after you've spent some time collecting your treasures, you can take a little respite and have some refreshments! The restaurant closes at 3, so don't miss out! There's plenty of parking. The staff is super, they will even help you load your car. There are often sales in various booths, so the prices are reasonable. I know I'm gushing, but I can't say enough good things about this "must stop" shop! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Always fun to shop here. There is literally something for everyone. I have never been…read moredisappointed! It's a nce atmosphere, bright and open.
