Love this spot! I was in the area and was looking for fresh food. I passed this market a few times and decided to check it out. I'm so glad that I did! They have so much different food here- they have convenience foods, a pizza counter, sandwiches, snacks, freshly prepared food, a cheese section, and more! I was glad to find this place and stopped in a few times to load up on charcuterie boards, snacks, and drinks for the weekend. Ridiculously expensive. A bar of cream cheese was 8$, pasta sauce 13$, and 4 oz of lox 15$ for reference. These are 2x standard prices. Drove another 20 minutes and found normally priced groceries at a larger store. read more

Love their Italian subs and sausage and pepper heroes! Always filled with plenty of meat and veggies. Still have to try the pizza. You can find anything you want there such as pickles, salad fixings, ice cream, beer, breads, cold cuts, etc. read more

Wow what a lovely treat this place is!! We're visiting for a few days and this has been our go-to spot for lunch. Every sandwich and wrap we've had here has been HITTERS. Everyone here is so sweet and welcoming. I got a grilled cheese with chicken noodle soup yesterday, and today I tried the crispy chicken cutlet sandwich and everything was so good. Very clean and diverse little market which is nice especially since it's basically the only option within miles to shop for basic grocery needs. Staff is friendly. The only two gripes I have is that their prices are definitely marked up and the fresh food counter operates pretty slowly and inefficiently. Had to pay $10.99 for 24 poland spring water case, which is pretty expensive compared to what you would normally get it for. Aside from that, it's a very convenient local place to go to for your basic needs. read more

We were staying in the hotel next door and stopped by the Hickory Hill market to get a few things and we're pleasantly surprised. They had a wide selection of groceries, drinks, and snacks. I personally loved that they had decaf iced coffee available, as that is sometimes hard to find. My fiancé had a breakfast burrito with chorizo that was so good he went back for it again the next day! My only caution is the pizza- our friends had one that smelled very garlicky, and they did say the flavor was overwhelming. Excellent market. They have everything from home made desserts to beautiful ribeyes. The deli prepares the best sandwiches in the Catskills. A true NY sandwich that won't empty your wallet. Upscale convenience store located in the heart of Windham. Just minutes from the mountain. They offer a nice selection of deli items and do in fact make a pretty decent sandwich. Bagels are good as is the coffee. Definitely one of the better markets in the area. A little on the pricey side but you are getting a good product. read more

The deli food seems very fresh and the prices are reasonable for a convenience market in a tourist area. However, I took 2 stars off because the staff could be friendlier. We arrived hoping to get a quick dinner around 6 and we're told that the deli counter had closed at 3, even though the website clearly said 9. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! SO MUCH! I will say...that this is the best gluten free pizza I have had and it made my heart so happy to know that they have gluten free to-go options. The market has just about everything you could think of, gluten free soy sauce, gluten free bread rolls, chips, dips, household supplies, tons of cheeses and meats (deli aside). Everything is reasonably priced considering that it's in the ski town. They do have a refrigerator room that has tons of beer, seltzers and one or two gluten-free beers (that sell quickly). I go to this place whenever I'm skiing because everyone is so nice (the night shift more than the day shift which are so easily overwhelmed it's painfully obvious). If you're in Windham don't dismiss this for food options, I almost did and I'm glad I didn't. read more

Wow! This is a great local market that we found during our recent stay in Windham. The pizzas were excellent as well as the deli sandwiches. The breakfast sandwiches were also delicious. Everything was so fresh. The chocolate chip cookies by the register were to die for. The best we have ever had! Our kids loved this store and I'm sure will be taking about it for months to come. We were staying next door at the Winwood inn and initially thought that this was a typical gas station convenience store. Boy, we're we pleasantly surprised! They have a fabulous pizza restaurant in the back and really good grocery options. We picked up two pizzas from here for dinner and they were top notch. Really. The deli and grill closes after lunch, but they had pre made sandwiches which we snagged for a mid-hike picnic lunch. Also stocked up on breakfast goods, water and Gatorade. We didn't know this, so we stopped at the hanne Ford market in Cairo. That is a nice store but it was not necessary as this place was right next door. Having travelled extensively this is a decent place to go grab a bite to eat, love the fact that it is run by local individuals and not big corporate companies. I think that the most disgusting and honestly humiliating part of this place is the fact that the management, overall and deli management have not only called out their employees in front of their customers, but belittled and made them cry in front of customers as well. I highly recommend that to improve this establishment to turn over overall management, and deli management to individuals that actually care about the well being of there seemingly very young staff. The experience and atmosphere of this place can be overall improved I think with these changes. I think the management treating their employees like that in front of customers made a huge impression on me. No one should be talked to or treated that way, especially in front of strangers, and that is why this place got only a 2 star review. read more
