I found the prices were fair and the convenience incredible. It actually made my life easier as a teacher. This year our school was hosting a family event and my colleague and I needed to pick up a few things for our event. We both pulled in at the same time 7:45pm when someone ran to the front door and hung up a sign that said CLOSED. I parked and got out of my car and walked to the front doors the store hours clearly stated open until 9:00pm. I knocked on the front and side door and no one answered. At 7:55pm two men exited the building and stated that one of them had to go to another job and could only work until 8:00pm. The next day I called the manager and was told that he is away on deployment and the assistant manager was rude and said that having the wrong hours on her store job was the least of her worries and asked if I would like a job. I will never shop in the Tannersville, NY Dollar General ever again. It was made extremely clear that my business was not needed, I now see why so many were against this chain building in our town.

Casings are not properly closed, they don't taste the same and their Wienerle look wrinkly and outright unappetizing + they are oversmoked. Very sad to see an institution go downhill and change that quickly from being an authentic German butcher to being a subpar spot that has none of the craftsmanship and quality that they used to have. The store l is clean and any time I have had to use the facilities they have also been clean. It is a large store, and I have had some issues with product, but customer service has always been able to fix the issue. Everyone makes mistakes. Give them a chance to fix it without feeling they've done something on purpose. You will find that your kindness and respect will get you the help those employees wish to give you. If you have a problem, ask for the store manager and don't yell at the employee. The majority of their employees se are hardworking people that have to deal with multiple customer personality types, managers, and situations (including being yelled at for things they cannot control) that we might find difficult to handle. Consider for a moment that maybe the previous person they helped was not the nicest person in the world or life has thrown them a curve. Could you do any better?
