The beach sedimentation has built us so much along the entire shoreline and they don't want anyone swimming here at a Waterfront park. What kind of waterfront park says NO to everything. The benches on the property are all facing weeds so can't see beyond to see all of the water. The park is small, but serene. Most of the space follows Lyon Creek under overhanging foliage, with a bench and boardwalk to enjoy. Where the creek meets the lake, there is a small dock and bench to frequent. Have not seen any salmon running up the creek as of yet, but that would make my day. Overall, it is small but extraordinarily peaceful and well restored. Good vibes only.

They wind around the backside of the park, intermittently bending to kiss the lake before moving on. Mornings are lovely here. It's so peaceful to listen to the wind rustling the cottonwoods and the birds singing. The people you pass are always quick with a smile and a wave. There's good community feel. I really enjoy it here.

This is a great spot to unload the kayak or what ever your water floating device is. It's a popular…read morespot so it can get a little crowed on the boat launch on a sunny day, but most people move along rather quickly. It's an easy drop into the water and you're off to explore the cute lake. The lake has a little island in the center and lots of things on the side to look at, so this makes a great spot for paddling around. There were a lot of people fishing so it must be a good fishing spot too.

I often bring food from Buddha Brothas and eat with my family and the park benches are mostly clean. What I appreciate about Log Boom is that there is usually a Lake Forest park patrol car parked in the parking lot in case there is an accident. I have gone to other parks and law enforcement is non existent. I once saw a forklift with keys by the park and let a dispatcher know. I'm very pleased by this park. Great views, convenient, and perfect for all ages.

It gets sooo dang gorgeous here It's a perfect place to swim. Seattle is freakin cold man even in the peak of summer, but this gem here folks is one of the few places I can bare to get my butt in. This park is a perfect example of why I moved here from California. It is SO close to such a busy place yet, when your out here it feels soo far away. I take my kayak here every once in a while so I have to have a Discovery Park Pass to park in the boat launch area. It feels super VIP over there, easy to get in, not a lot of traffic and sometimes locals around that are willing to help me carry my kayak out to the water. The water is so calm I launch an anchor and relax out there, the sounds of the road are nonexistent and you can just feel like your in the middle of nowhere. I feel safe swimming knowing there aren't any scary sharks out there that'll nibble my toes, just farmed fish, fisherman have a blast catching. I like to kayak around the entire perimeter checking out all the beautiful lake houses... there are amazing weeping willows that fall into the water... fields of water lilies...and more surprised each time! My dream here is to get the community to help clean this place up a little, I pick up trash sometimes when I'm out there, but a deeper clean can be made behind some of the fishing docks... other than that.. People clearly have been squatting i the more dense shrubs, leading to nests of garbage. For what i'm sure were practical reasons, the garbage cans have been reduced, so there are bags of dog crap everywhere. The "toys" on the west end of the park are partially dismantled and useless. Due to many cars during the meets, there was a bit of a walk to get to the pool for competitions, but not really hills to make the walk difficult. The pool deck around the pool was small, so we came with the be extra considerate mentality when swimming here because everyone was cramped. My first-ever post-season swim meet was here in 1999. It was B-Champs, a meet for those who failed to make the time cuts for prelims. I loved the pool and how fun the meet was. There was more joy on the pool deck than I later observed at the meets reserved for the fast swimmers. If there was one hook for me competing the full 12 summer seasons I did, it was that first B-Champs in 1999 for me and that I would get to swim at the Sheridan Beach pool again if I continued competing. I loved the four-lane pool. It was a unique competition environment and a tight fit in the competition space that I liked. Outside the pool deck was concessions, a large grassy area, and a playground. Our coaches encouraged us not to waste our energy playing on the playground. We found that allowed for some healthy rebellion, playing for five to ten minutes during the meets to make sure we did not lose sight of the fact we were kids. The space did not lose its magic when I became a teenager.

It's a nice place to get your hiking fix. Before this place was only about .5 miles long, now it's more than doubled in size. There's some steep climbs, but nothing overwhelming. They still haven't added much for views of the wetlands or creek running through, aside from the small little bit you get at the head of the trail. My dogs loved it here. They provide waste bags and there's trash and recycle also at the head of the trail.

It was just available for workers, and a regular guy went into it and started harassing us while my kid was playing in the playground. It didn't feel safe. Anyone can get into. I am glad it is fenced. I told an elderly lady about it and she was nice to me although other people felt used to it :( Be aware of your kids around, please! It also wasn't that pretty on summer with machinery around. But kids lived watching it!! There is always someone by the pool making sure it is clean, and I am thankful for them. We always say hello because they help us. I wish they could help us also reporting previous kind of situations. Courtyards are next to the pool, too. They get busy with pickle boarders fun to watch :) I believe courtyards could get a little revamp. Weird there were various adults, but just 2 toddlers using the wading pool.

I play a lot of pickleball and appreciate that these courts have 8 courts lined for pickleball and…read more8 semi-permanent nets. Nice to have a bathroom in the community center. I usually park in the residential areas around the court. Everyone drives too fast on 130th, lots of loud cars and fire trucks, the area usually reeks of marijuana, and there are definitely a lot of sketchy people around, but it's one of the best courts for pickleball so one just deals with the craziness around.
