I live right by here and it is the least maintained park in the surrounding neighborhoods. The park is not well maintained, benches and tables are aged out, grass is long with a lot of garbage in the surrounding shrubs (also not well maintained) as well as along the waterline. People clearly have been squatting i the more dense shrubs, leading to nests of garbage. For what i'm sure were practical reasons, the garbage cans have been reduced, so there are bags of dog crap everywhere. The "toys" on the west end of the park are partially dismantled and useless. You need better acess to the water with a flat gradual graded paved pathway with a steel pipe rail along one side for handy-capped people to be able to use floatation devices, and mobility equipment to assist in actual water fun activities. Park -depts. state and, or city -wide, are not putting enough attention on access for all not just the younger and more mobility capable! We support public areas too and their maintenance. read more

A nice gem of a lake and park in the city! It's nicely maintain and has a couple docks for people to jump off to swim or fish. I came here to fish, and got plenty of fish here! There's a grey heron and he knows when you get a fish so he'll fly on over for you to feed him. It was quite an experience feeding him a fish I caught! read more

I love this place so much! I've been coming since I was a kid, it's a family favorite. The lily pad season is my favorite by far. It gets sooo dang gorgeous here It's a perfect place to swim. Seattle is freakin cold man even in the peak of summer, but this gem here folks is one of the few places I can bare to get my butt in. This park is a perfect example of why I moved here from California. It is SO close to such a busy place yet, when your out here it feels soo far away. I take my kayak here every once in a while so I have to have a Discovery Park Pass to park in the boat launch area. It feels super VIP over there, easy to get in, not a lot of traffic and sometimes locals around that are willing to help me carry my kayak out to the water. The water is so calm I launch an anchor and relax out there, the sounds of the road are nonexistent and you can just feel like your in the middle of nowhere. I feel safe swimming knowing there aren't any scary sharks out there that'll nibble my toes, just farmed fish, fisherman have a blast catching. I like to kayak around the entire perimeter checking out all the beautiful lake houses... there are amazing weeping willows that fall into the water... fields of water lilies...and more surprised each time! My dream here is to get the community to help clean this place up a little, I pick up trash sometimes when I'm out there, but a deeper clean can be made behind some of the fishing docks... other than that.. I found Martha Lake Park on Yelp before my trip out to Washington. Took a quick pit stop here before dinner around 5:30pm on a Monday evening and the park was pretty quiet. A few kids in the play area and a small family fishing by the lake front. Ducks and lily pads floating on the water. There really isn't much to do but take a few pictures, take in the scenery and leave. If you're around the area, it's definitely worth a quick stop for a few photo ops. read more

This is a cute little park to take a walk through, fish at, or picnic. We came by here for a quick picnic during the warm months, and we weren't the only ones enjoying the beautiful weather at the park. There were 2 parties going on, and people canoeing. There's a small parking lot a short walk from the park, and a pavilion for parties. A restroom is also on site. This is a beautiful place to spend the afternoon! read more

This beautiful park is next to Martha Lake in Mill Creek. It's a perfect place to go when the sun is out to play whether you're 10 or 90. Parking can be impossible in the warm months due to the crowds. Come early or get dropped off. read more

This is a nice little park. I came on a cold day and yet there were still a few people out and about enjoying the park. Lots of ducks on the water. Great docks. Restrooms and picnic areas. I remember when I used to go here a few years back and it was quite nice. Today I went and strolled out onto the docks and it looks kind of run down now. The dock railings on at least one of the docks are loose in some places to the point you probably shouldn't lean on them or you might take a plunge. They've let the lily pads near shoreline takeover and on top of that they're full of water bottles, plastic bags, beer cans, soda cans, foam containers etc. etc.. It's really gross, someone needs to clean it up...This has really turned into a dirty place over the years read more

During the day, the beach area is great - clean water to swim in, and mostly families enjoying themselves. In the evening, scary things start happening at the boat launch area. The families go home for dinner, and some creepy types start doing whatever business they are doing. We (2 women) felt quite unsafe. I'd advise only going during the day, stay away from evenings especially at the boat launch. read more

My friends who live nearby introduced me to this park. We came on a nice August summer Sunday and the area was filled with families swimming in the lake or relaxing on the grass, soaking in the warm sunlight. My friend, who was a mom, made a remark about how surprised she was to see so many people, as it was a contrast to the quieter weekday mornings, when she usually visits with her toddler. The park was beautiful with lots of scenic green trees surrounding the lake. The main reason for our visit this particular day was to feed the ducks that swam in the lake. Our kids enjoyed it very much and it was fun to watch all the ducks swimming towards us to get a piece of bread. read more

I came out here this past weekend to attend a baptism. As the weather was behaving itself (actually acting like summer), people were out en mass. The park has a perfect waterfront location, and if you can't park in their lot, there's plenty of parking across the street. I almost wish that I'd had my bikini with me so that I could have enjoyed that cool, refreshing water that was calling out to me. read more

The lake is beautiful. We went there on a chilly day and were literally freezing as we walked upto the lake. The view at the lake-front is amazing. We were slightly disappointed with the park though. The ' boat-shaped' slide/play gym occupied my daughter's attention for half hour. I think the park is appropriate for smaller tots ( 2.5 yrs). read more

Has very limited parking. Has a good spot to sit and eat, but the lake is very dirty and it's crowded with so many children.

This place is dirty but clean at least think I mean there are ducks swimming in the water with the kids... but overall I think it is actually pretty nice, the parks are old but still fun for the children to play, there's two parks and slot of sitting areas read more

I love water and sand in the summer as much as the next girl, but not at this place. When I went with my sister and nephews, I wouldn't even take off my shoes! There was duck poop all over the sand! Not ONE area was clean! I wanted to get out ASAP! Not to mention the smell! Also, there was no lifeguard on duty. If you go there as see the high deck that people jump off of, you would want a lifeguard...but no! No life gaurs! When I was a kid, my dad took me here all the time and it was great! It's sad to see a great place become dirty. I know I won't be coming back. If they had someone to clean up the place if give it 3 stars but for now, I'm giving it one star read more

Don't visit this park expecting a walking trail, which is my bad for hoping that'd be the case. We visited during open park hours and the restrooms were closed... Though they did have a honey bucket which I refused to use. I can't imagine swimming here in the summer; even in winter the water smelled horrible. read more

This is my favorite lake in the lynnwood area to go swimming in. The water is fairly clean, not completely overgrown with lily pads, if you go far enough out you can escape the groups of kids. Sometimes there can creepy people lingering and being sketchy, so I wouldn't recommend leaving valuables on the beach area, although I've never personally had any problems. Just go with a group to enjoy the beach during the day, and leave before it gets too dark. read more

I know people love this place. I just don't like trying to relax and watching my kids walk around in duck poop, glass bottles etc. Its pretty to watch through. Barely ever a person on the walking path. The water area is over congested during the one time a year its possible to go in the water. Not to mention people here seem to not ask their kids to stop cursing and yelling. I did try this place several times. The first time a kid obviously sick was hanging all over my kid. The second kids were throwing sticks and rocks at the ducks. Frankly I just prefer anywhere else. Why would a mom pur up with that behavior. read more

The park is wonderful it's a great place it's beautiful looks like good fishing stock quote everything you would want park ranger in the people who manage the park or pushy and say things that would be illegal or not true about laws that have to do with state parks they seem to be over indulged in taking care of the park and I appreciate that pushing people around in this world on rules at our opinions and their part not rules are interesting I just want everyone if you go be warned of the park ranger works there in the people who live in the house there read more

I have to give this 5 stars probably for reasons of nostalgia. I remember way back when when this was a private Park with a restaurant bar. My grandparents who own their own tavern always had annual tavern picnics out here. Awesome my step dad who work for the post office they always had annual Union post office picnics there. I also remember spending a lot of opening days fishing off of a dock or renting a boat. As a kid I always enjoyed going out and fishing off the dock and in the summer time we used to go there to swim even though it was a private resort that you have to pay to go into. Been there a few times in the last few summers now that it's become a public park unfortunately it can get crowded and not always as clean as it used to be. But overall I still enjoy going there. Lots and lots of fun memories. Back in the day when you had to pay to get in they were able to keep it much cleaner and also limited the amount of people who are allowed in at one time so that it never became too crowded. I miss those days although I like the fact that it is now a public park even with the problems. read more
