Had to cancel due to an unforeseen family emergency on the day of my appointment and was still charged $40 by booksy. My original appointment was for a 4pm slot that otherwise would have never been filled, and given the suddenly emergency, I cancelled as early as possible. This is what that felt like. Usually I find good reviews on Yelp for a barber shop, walk in and the barber dives right in to a fade, doesn't know how to cut the top, then gets me out of the chair as fast as possible for the next client. Kelsi took her time with my haircut and it's honestly one of the best haircut experiences of my life. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. You can book an appointment through the app Booksy! How was my first haircut experience you ask? Well it begins with a friendly greeting, and a conversation about how YOU want YOUR hair done. Kelsi is extremely knowledgeable and will offer advice on how to take care of your hair and what style is appropriate for you. First was the haircut: comfortable, unintrusive, and super chill. Kelsi gave me the best fade I've ever had. Next came the massage.. wait what? I was so confused.. I didn't know this was offered. Then came a shave, hot towel, and then a hair wash with the best mint shampoo I've ever experienced! Lastly, a pomade/wax to shape the hair. It was honestly the best haircut experience I've ever had! Plain and simple, great cut! Kelsi was nice, conversational, and my favorite, punctual! I can't tell you how much I hate it when I make an appointment for a time and don't get seen until 20-30 minutes after. Get outta here. This isn't the clinic. Anyway, I have no complaints with how Kelsi went about doing my hair. She was responsive to what I asked for as well as clear and concise and I got EXACTLY what I was looking for. First time customers were 31$ a cut and after that it's 36$ , and to be fair, that's the most I've paid for a cut, but you can't put a price on comfort, results, a hot towel, straight razer line up and a neck massage. I think the best part about my visit was, believe it or not, I'm not a huge talker when I'm getting my haircut and Kelsi never really pushed me to talk. Lol. Weird thing to like, I know, but I do NOT like barbers who feel like they have to talk, or have me talking, like bruh let me just sit there and vibe and I'll let you know. I came in here mistakenly thought the $10 dollar freshen up was a full haircut. No problem I just asked for a low taper and to line the front. Horrible cut... One of the worst low tapers I've gotten. By the end she charged me 15 instead of 10 and when I asked why she said "it's a full haircut I'm doing you a favor dude." it was rushed, didn't properly line my front and didn't cut the top when I asked. And she insisted it was a full cut. I wouldn't have mind to pay the full thirty if she just trimmed the top like I asked. read more
