Unprofessional and terrible customer service for a first time customer. I asked for a taper mid-fade, but the cut came out uneven. When I pointed out that the back looked off, the barber blamed the "curve of my head." Once I got to my car, I realized the sides looked terrible too and came out more like a low fade than a mid fade. I've had the same style for years. It only got worse when I tried to get it fixed: Blaming the Customer: The barber texted me to argue, claiming it was my fault for leaving and calling me "confused" about what style I asked for when I went the next day to get it fixed. Horrible Time Management: We agreed on a 4:30 PM appointment the next day to fix it. When I arrived, he had just started someone else's hair and made me wait until 5:00 PM. Passive-Aggressive Behavior: Before he started to fix my hair, he sighed in the beginning. He even wrapped the neck paper tight and ignored me when I asked him to loosen it. Said "I'll do it right now" and after a bit he loosened it. If a customer communicates an issue with your service, you should fix it--not blame them, name-call, and give them a hard time. Incredibly insecure and unprofessional. Considering I paid $40 to cut just the sides and the "fix" was to make the fade higher (mid fade) he wasn't considerate to just fix it and move on. Been going to sunset barbershop for about a year if not a little less. All the times I've gone I've been getting cut by Jason (jblenddzz). My experience was Jason has been great, he works very fast, knows what you're asking for. The most I've waited for Jason is 5 minutes which is nothing. The whole barbershop in general has a really good vibe, always smiling making jokes etc. I highly recommend hitting this barbershop up, I highly highly recommend Jason, he's bad ass. read more

He obviously was the new barber and didn't have his own clientele yet. I asked for a little of the top and a short fade... nothing too fancy. I'm not sure what he did, but he got me!! I decided to give this place a second chance and it failed me again. The barbers are very nice people but it seems like they are better at adult hair cuts than children. Both times my kids hair cuts were left uneven where one side was longer than the other that I had to go elsewhere to get it fixed from how bad it was and for my other son I just trimmed a bit off from the side that was long. I don't think I'll be trying them out again . Yes I know it's hair and it will grow back, but to spend money on something I would like it to be done right. Bunch of kids who are literally shaking like a leaf when trimming your beard. Very expensive too. HONEST REVIEW: I rarely ever leave reviews, but I would hate for a person to waste there money on these (barbers) like I did.. First and foremost I will say the guys are very friendly and the barbershop is very clean. However my review is based on haircut, fade and line up. I really wanted to like this barbershop as a second opinion since my son's barber is usually booked, but it was the biggest mistake. Anyhow, I wouldn't recommend anyone getting their haircut here. My son got his hair cut by a younger guy with glasses that works right next to Johnny, but also Johnny help with the cut. I think he realized his hair cut looked like crap, so he then " try" to fix it but didn't make it any better. My son was so embarrassed this is by far the worse barbershop I've ever been to. This is the BEST barbershop I've ever been too. I love the culture and art of barbering. I take cuts and fades VERY seriously (I get my fade once a week). Been coming to this spot for about three months now, (so 12 cuts), and every single one of my fades have been blurred, all my lines have been crispy, and all my experiences have been top notch My barber is Johnny. He has clips for days! Vanna has fades too. I don't know all the barbers yet, but I'm definitely a "cut critic" and as far as I can see, I haven't seen one cut leave a chair, and me be like "WHAT IS THAT". They are all at minimum (good cuts-great cuts). I recommend making an appointment if you have a window of time, but they also accept walk ins.
