If you're looking for more than just a tattoo, book with Kenyatta, aka Lord Yatta. His energy, professionalism & artistry are exceptional. I'm detail-oriented, so our consultation took a little longer, yet Yatta was patient, attentive & fully committed to bringing my vision to life. He designed the layout for my four meaningful Scriptures with care & precision. What impressed me most was Yatta's commitment to hygiene. He consistently washed his hands, changed gloves & re-sanitized his workspace throughout the session. That level of professionalism speaks volumes. The shop is clean, welcoming & filled with incredible local artwork. The music was a vibe, too. The quality of the work matches the price. If you're looking for an artist with talent, integrity, patience & positive energy, Tri City Tattoo is the place. Looking forward to continuing my sleeve journey with Yatta.

I was slightly off-put because floors seemed rather dirty sticky wet. Ignored that and proceeded back to the front where since I was waiting I decided to renew my belly jewels. I received an awesome solid recommendation so I was happy. And the bathroom disgust went out of the window. As I proceeded to be led back to a private piercing room by the woman who never introduced herself. I noticed how dirty and unsanitary the room was. The bed that ahe had me sit on was bare and had a hole that exposed the fabric. Her preparation tray was rusted. Her trash bin was open, exposing bloodied tissue q-tips and other one time use products this was not a biohazard bin. Her floors were dirty too. Her prep didn't consist of her washing her hands before giving. She just placed on by the gloves with these 1-2 inch nails. After her prep she sprays the gloves with alcohol. I made the unnamed tech that I'm nervous and I don't like needles. She asked if I was sure to proceed and I agreed I will get through it. As she approached my face with the needle With a poke to the nose I jumped a bit. This may have cause her to get frustrated with me and it showed every bit in her tone. I began bleeding profusely and mentioned that it was a lot of blood. She followed up by disagreeing. As she started to clean me up she then agreed that it was in fact a lot of blood and noticed that her needle had gashed my skin. I asked if she could proceed and with an attitude she stated it would have to heal first. She mentioned that she didn't feel comfortable proceeding. I was willing to take that answer and was ok that I still had to pay. I understood that my reaction potentially caused her not to puncture the skin the way it needed to. But then again her nails are long and I just don't know. At a point after reviewing this with her I just got irritated that she was so short with me, her tone came off as though I was a disservice to her so I called her out. I stated it does it seem you have an attitude or something. She began to be defensive and was really quite mean. Never did she yell but she was very rude. I didn't yell but I had now grown with frustration. She kept overly defending herself toward the fact that I am the one that moved and caused this outcome. She mentioned that she too has anxiety like me and she looked like she was going to cry. The whole time she was playing the blame game and never was I upset that she couldn't complete the job. I never blamed her for how it happened. All I wanted was to be treated nicely and I would have walked away paid and allow healing and try again later. I do not think this young lady understood that. I'm left to believe that this isn't the first time a piercing went wrong and in past she may have been ridiculed for her work and or she didn't handle it professionally so maybe she was projecting. She told me I'd still have to pay $40 to which I was fine until I asked one more time was there any other options and she said she could Pierce the order side. I was afraid I'd then be charged twice to which she in a snotty reply said no, I won't. As I sat to ponder after arguing with her she decided that it wouldn't be good fit and I was ok with it but I proceeded to tell her I'm not peeing for that service (due to how I was treated. No empathy. No care , rude. I offered to pay for my jewelry but she asked me to leave her shop. So I did, and had a panic attack in my vehicle before pulling off. Overall cleanliness was poor, customer service was terrible.

I stopped by early in my trip to check availability and not surprisingly there wasn't much. The books were booked but they told me that an artist did walks-ins on Saturdays at 3pm and to come in around then. Being super anxious I got there about 2:45pm that day and found out someone else was even more anxious because the appointment was gone. Bummed, because I really had my hopes up I then talked to another artist, Hank who asked me what I was trying to get done. Ironically, he did a lot of sketch designs and I was looking for just that kind of tattoo. He knew the tattoo wouldn't take too long and agreed to take me the next day which happened to be Easter Sunday. Hank was amazing. While I can't say it was completely painless because I don't think any tattoo ever is or will be, overall the complete process was. He drew my design essentially overnight. When I came in the next day he showed it to me, and the thing I love about tattooing and art in general is what I had in my head of what it was going to be like wasn't exactly what he drew, but I loved his vision so I changed nothing but the overall size of the tattoo and we went to work. He gave me great instructions afterwards and it never turned red at all. It looked perfect the entire time. The healing process was amazing. I live in Florida but will absolutely make any trip to see Hank for future tattoos because it's absolutely worth it.

Copying from my google review:…read more Review from someone who came on friday the 13th: I came for for a nostril piercing. I cant give this place 5 stars. The equipment itself was in sterile packaging, but the jewelry was NOT STERILE and just came in regular plastic baggies. She also used the same gloves that had my blood and fluids on it to touch her piercing equipment drawers(which is a big no-no for transferring infection to others. Luckily, i have my Hepatitis vaccines). I also have no clue why she pierced a nostril with a 16g when 18g is standard. In addition, aftercare instructions were not given(though that could be because she assumed i knew how to take care of piercings) so anyone new to body mods, beware. Overall, Im concerned about how clean my actual piercing is and if the post given to me is long enough to accommodate swelling...This place needs to step it up and offer more appropriate piercing sizes along with sterilizing jewelry/using sterile techniques when piercing people back to back. I don't recommend coming here for piercings. Go to a shop that specializes in piercings and sterilizes everything beforehand. Update: I cleaned it and realized that she even pierced it at an angle where the stud goes straight down and through more cartilage than if she pierced at an angle like my other nostril. Now I know for a fact it will heal unevenly, despite using the same entry point that I had when it was first pierced! Smdh. Thank god I only wasted 23 bucks. Definitely going to a more reputable shop to see if i can take this mess out or get it corrected. Very disappointed, very lazy work, and im irritated that I had to get pierced TWICE because they didn't even have posts long enough to accommodate swelling(which the post would have been fine if she pierced it at a better angle in the first place).
