I came in as a walk-in and there was no wait, but that's where the positive ends. When I sat down, I told the lady that I do not want my browns thin and that they are shaped differently, but I prefer the more square shape of my right brow. She said ok and said she would clean them up first but proceeded to butcher my brows! When I sat up and looked, I expressed that they looked totally different from one another and that the left brow was way too thin. She said my hair is curly and they are shaped different (which I already told her before she started) and it's has ever caused a problem for my usual place off of Clairmont Rd. I should've just made that drive! Also, she threaded my upper lip and chin after she butchered my brows, I figured, she can't mess that up, but her energy had definitely changed. I should have left then because she continued to thread hard over the same spot on my upper lip, like she was mad. Eventually I had to stop her because it was getting really painful! She claimed she was "trying to get this one hair," but she was being excessive and aggressive. When she checked me out, it took her a while, like she didn't know how to work the device. Needless to say I didn't tip, I thought about not even paying for the brows but I went ahead and did it. After I completed the transaction on my end, the screen changed back to the main logo and I knew she was finally done but she just stood there...so I did too. When i was checking out, the girl let me know that I could purchase the groupon up to a maximum of 5 times. After I bought the groupon again and called to make an appointment, another older lady told me that I was not allowed to use the groupon for up to 4 months. She would not honor it despite what the other employee told me and also this was not written anywhere in the policy (see sceeenshots). Aside from trying to scam customers, their work is not the best. I was left with multiple hair after a brazilian and the girl told me that it could not be removed because the hair was too short. I've been seeing DK for about 5-6 years now. She always remembers my name, asks me how school and my family are doing, and is always so so polite. In the 5+ years I have been seeing her I've never had a bad experience. She will go out of her way to help her clients. When she was on maternity leave, she opened up her house for clients. She is one of the nicest and most generous people I have met. The eyebrows always look so fierce! Sharp, even, and bold. I like my eyebrows thicker, and she has never threaded them too short or thin. I even have an eyebrow piercing, and she is able to thread around the piercing without hesitation or complaining. It is really hard to find somebody who is willing to thread eyebrows without requiring you to take out your eyebrow piercing and I totally praise her for being able to do such a good job with it in. Oh my. I just moved to the area three weeks ago and was in need of some self-maintenance. I was originally supposed to go another salon, but when I got lost and they didn't answer my phone calls I ended up at Body Wax and Threading Salon. I was a bit apprehensive when I saw threading because I hate getting threaded and I wasn't sure what kind of wax they were using and I hadn't done any prior research but I was tired of driving round and round and I started seeing prices the closer I got.....I said to myself, "it cannot be that cheap," and I had my preconceived notions of what the outcome was going to be, but man I am GLAD I stopped by here. I've been getting waxed for about 7-8 years and I'm kind of a wax snob. I was in the D.C. area for a year and a half and I was so displeased with the waxing services I received there so I didn't have high expectations (especially not for the price.) LADIES (and gentlemen) -- WHEN I TELL YOU I WAS WRONG! Man! Dilshad and Nassim were such angels. Wow, those women are phenomenal. I told them I had been driving around and I knew it was almost time for them to close shop and they still took me in and were so kind (AND THOROUGH!) and inexpensive! My eyes got big when I looked at their prices. $55 for full body?? That's the price of one Brazilian without tip in the north. Dilshad was sooooo QUICK too! Usually I am apprehensive about honey wax in my sensitive areas and everyone I've ever liked has always used hard wax, but she used the soft wax in those sensitive areas, got all the hairs, and it didn't hurt. Overall I am very pleased with my experience....hello! I got a Brazilian and an armpit wax for like $35 or something like that. They're amazing. My new aesthetician. I'm in love. I barely leave reviews. but I had the worst experience at Body Wax and Threading Salon in Smyrna. I initially called to confirm if I could come in for a Brazilian wax with my Groupon, and they told me to come in before six. I drove 30 minutes to get there, only to be turned away because they said I needed an appointment. I came back today, and it was even worse. The salon was filthy--there were drips of wax on the bed, bugs on the floor, and the place was overall unsanitary. The service was painful and unprofessional. The technician used soft wax instead of hard wax for a Brazilian, causing me significant discomfort. She left wax residue in sensitive areas and didn't provide any way to clean it off. I'm in severe pain and still feeling sticky. This place is not only unclean but also provides terrible service. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I visited here for the first time being confident that my brows would be threaded nicely after growing them out for months so I could get a good shape. Well, that definitely did not happen. I do want to say that the staff was very pleasant and made me feel welcome, and I had no wait time. However, even after showing Lubna the shape I wanted (from a picture of my own face with brows shaped perfectly) I was deeply disappointed when I looked at my brows and saw that one was shaped properly and the other one had a completely different shape. They now look odd and I'll have to pencil them in until they grow out again and try to get my desired shape elsewhere. She did ask if they looked ok before I left the chair and all I could do was say yes because the last thing I wanted is for her to try to fix it and butcher them further. By the time she asked and I saw her work, I had zero confidence that she could fix it, especially after knowing I showed her the exact shape from a prior threading experience elsewhere. I know sometimes people say 'oh your brows aren't shaped the same' but this was not the case with me as someone was able to get it right (repeatedly) in the past. Great service and awesome prices. I stumbled across this place on Groupon and they offered $16 Brazilian wax. I called before buying the Groupon and they got me in the same day and honored the price without me purchasing the Groupon ( that way they get all the money) I also got the yelp offer $5 for $10 service and did the upper lip thread and cleaned up my eyebrows. Upper lip is super clean and no hair was left behind. The Brazilian wax was also good. I had lots of hair so at times i felt a little pain, but not much. She made me feel very comfortable and ensured I liked her service. I will definitely recommend this place and come back next month. I started going to her when she had a chair in the hair salon that I went to, and when she was on maternity leave, she opened up her home for me to get my eyebrows done there too. Now she has opened her own business and I couldn't be more excited for her! I like to keep my eyebrows as thick as possible, so I usually usually just request a "clean up." My biggest fear when getting my eyebrows done (at other salons) is that I will sit up from a watery-eyed face-squinting session and look in the mirror to see 2 strings of angel hair pasta above my eyes. DK never lets me down and am always satisfied with how my eyebrows turn out. Body Wax and Threading Salon offers the best prices in the Atlanta area, at only $6 for eyebrow threading! They offer package deals at fantastic prices as well. I recommend this salon over all others!! read more

Ok, I hate to give a poor review because the women that work here are so sweet, but it would be irresponsible of me to not post a review of my experience. I started coming here about a year ago for eyebrow threading, and they do a good job and it's super cheap, only $6. Then they sold me on their Brazilian wax special. That's where things went downhill. I came in for my first Brazilian in the package, the wax was not hot enough and it was incredibly painful. I get regular Brazilians and I have never felt so much discomfort. I let her know and she said next time to call ahead so the wax is ready, I had already purchased a package and the were very resistant to give me a refund. I came back in for the second one and this was worse than the first, in fact the wax ended up ripping and breaking my skin. It was so painful and also the woman giving me the wax kept preaching to me about how single women should not drink or go on to many dates because god will not bless them with a good husband. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life so I just got out of there as quickly as I could. I had a lot of swelling from the wax so I was putting Neosporin on it to help but it never went down and then a couple of days later I broke out in a horrible rash with huge and very painful blisters all over my bikini area. I could barely walk it hurt so bad and then I got a heat rash all over my body and a fever and ended up having to go to urgent care. The doctor prescribed me to 5 medications total and told me the rash was definitely from the wax and to be careful of unhealthy practices from waxing salons. I called the salon and they asked me to come in, the friendliness went away and they were accusing me of lying and one woman took me to the back room and demanded that I expose my bikini area to prove I actually had a rash. I was so uncomfortable I started crying and when I came back out they were taking pictures of my medical paperwork, which is highly illegal, and I demanded the information for their public liability insurance because they refused to accept responsibility for the incident and kept accusing me of lying. I got an attorney involved that was able to get in touch with their insurance company and we just delt with the insurance adjuster the rest of the time. It was a horrible experience and the blisters/ rash lasted for 3 weeks. It was so painful that I had to miss work for a few days and it was just awful. Obviously I will never return, but I want to make sure that one else has to go through this awful experience like I did, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. read more

I was drawn in by the discount of $17 for a wax. A lot of salons are educated, professional and experienced enough to be able to wax during menstruation. However, I have fibroids so blood can be unpredictable and outside of a period that I don't get. Because of this, I was denied service and told "Sorry to hear that but I can't help you." The vibe of this "salon" initially made me feel like I shouldn't have let them wax me. I think this was a sign from above as I called three other shops and was told yes. read more

I was a walk in customer, front desk and staff was very friendly and nice. I filled out the required consent form and then was lead to the treatment room for my Brazilian wax upon completion. After the first strip removal I knew that this was going to be a bad experience. Dk, my wax technique was all wrong, this wax was extremely painful unlike my previous waxes from other places. Thank God for Groupon!! I've never heard of nor been by this place before. But thanks to a Groupon voucher, I got a new place. First and foremost, I must say the women who work here, own the shop are SO friendly. I mean that genuinely. I think they take pride in their customers and genuinely appreciate the business. It was quick and simple coming in and making my appointment. An older lady did my waxing and when I say this woman had "quick hands", I am not even exaggerating. She must've stripped me bare in under 10 minutes. And as a woman that hasnt been to a wax in like..... 5 months? THAT was impressive. She told me what to hold, asked me a few questions and waxed on, waxed off in record time. Everything was quick and easy. So, why only 4 stars???? Personally, it came when time to pay. I'm not a fan of asking customers if they want to add a tip. Especially when the worker is standing right there. It puts them on the spot and I hate being put on the spot. Maybe just turn the screen and allow the customer to add the tip on their own or pay in cash if they choose to. Just a suggestion. But again. I'm not a fan of ASKING for a tip. Unfortunately I have to give this place a 2. I came in for a Brazilian wax, which was done by Ludna. Although the service was quick, about 15 minutes, it was not the best experience. To start, this is a soft wax place. I am personally used to hard waxes and haven't gotten a soft wax in about 6 years, however this is just a matter of preference. The issue I had was that she used about 20 strips. Needless to say, I think the process was more painful than necessary. She kept applying wax to very small areas at a time instead of larger areas. It was also very messy. She had me hold the area she had just waxed so she could wax another area, resulting in me leaving with wax all over my nails and hands. Perhaps the worst part of it all and the reason why I'm giving them such a low score is the quality of the service. I still had small patches of hair in a few areas. Like they had not even been touched with wax. In addition to that, I had areas where the hair had not been completely removed by the wax. It has only been a week and the hair is already going back like it has been about 3 weeks. Needless to say, I was very disappointed coming here for the first time. read more
