There was a thorough briefing on the building, safety protocol and the dos and fonts of the room but nothing about the theming or story. Two of the puzzles were faulty and we were given no assistance. When we asked for a clue or help when we had issues we were told "keep trying". One puzzle needed to be repaired and another had faulty magnet contacts that we had to constantly move around after we already solved the puzzle multiple times. We spent about ten minutes on each issue at least which caused us to flunk out. Mishaps happen when puzzles have been beat up by previous guests but we weren't even given clues when we asked.

However, the staff seemed put out if we asked for anything such as more water, more lemonade etc. We were told we didn't pay for extra lemonade. I mention this area because it can be addressed in the planning process. Get every potential deviation or turn from the norm addressed so you don't have to ask on that day. This was an informal gathering of close family, but the reaction would be different if it were a wedding. Not really needed from what I could see: this place is classy and the patrons are respectable and respectful. But I guess security is nice to have at any live event, if for nothing more than to make guests feel comfortaable and reassured. I don't believe I have ever met a more friendly or personable law enforcement officer. I would have taken a picture with him too if it were allowed (I tried). We conversed quite a bit and he even offered to take photos of and for me. What a nice man and a pleasure to talk to.
