Pre booking worked great for the ride from the hotel to the restaurant. On the way home, the dispatcher booked the driver for another ride that interfered with our pre booking, so we were stranded at the restaurant and had to call other companies to secure a ride back. I reserved a Taxi and they never showed up... which caused me to be late to my daughters recital! When calling High Mountain to get assistance, the woman told me she would send another ride that would come with a tracking number... and you guessed it... the taxi never came. Great service, very timely, clean, and the driver was personable + safe. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the price. ~$50 for a 7 mile ride before tip. For Vail prices though, that isn't terrible. Highly recommend if you need a taxi in Vail. read more

We were vacationing in Beaver Creek, CO and needed to travel from the Park Hyatt to Edwards for dinner. We called about an hour before we needed to leave - the driver appeared promptly and the trip with the wife and two kids was perfect. They even brought two booster seats for the kids. Have to work 6am in the Morning and have no chance but use the taxi. Called the service center 11pm and placed a request for a taxi at 5:30am. No taxis until 5:35. Called them back and they said I didn't placed any request. Ended up going to work late... In my opinion, reliability and consistency is the key to run a transportation business. Driver/dispatcher Elvis was extremely rude and then demanded my debit card number when I was going to pay cash. I have alerted my bank in case of any suspicious activity. If you complain & report their employee they blame you for their bad customer service & rude behavior. I live here year round and was paying 150.00 to get to work, the price went up twice. Obviously I love my job or would not have dealt with him or the company that defends his rudeness. If you are on vacation I'd protect it from this company. I love my job and the people I work with or would not have endured the rudeness from this driver/dispatcher. This company does not care about the way you are treated by their driver/dispatchers. They have a monopoly during certain hours so I had no choice. Most hours of the day or night you do have a choice. Valley Express (970 328 3520) for 4.00 maximum 8.00 will pick you up directly from in front of the Eagle Airport and most hotels are near their transportation centers in Avon and Vail (last run down the Valley starts 9:52 pm and begins early). The Vail Transportation Center for info here 970 479 2178. Usually 4.00 each way. In the winter it runs every hour for 12 hours. And The Peaks (855 467 3251 runs till April 19th) in the winter for 66.00 will take you to the Vail Transportation Center or other point to point places for cheap and are very nice. CME (Colorado Mountain Express 1-800-525 6363) has some cheap point to point drop offs and pick ups quoted on their web site. High Mountain Taxi is rude and insulting, so unless you don't mind that on your vacation by all means... but I wouldn't. I'll never deal with them again for the way I was treated as a customer. I'm glad I found out now before subjecting my vacation to them when I need a lift to Denver International. They know of my review here so I'm sure they will have empoloyees and others put in some fake positives to counteract the truth. Also to let you know this company has commissions with many in the valley so if you hear them reccomended it's not becuase they are any good. The reason they have 30+ cars is because they bought out competition, its' not a reflection of good service. Takes a moment to put the numbers posted here in your phone for future reference so that you have options. Also they have had no accountability and let their employees run amuck with poor customer service & a monoply in the evenings. They were not listed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), they are now. Cabbie 082 just drove us from Vail to Eagle airport while acting as dispatcher for the company while driving. He proceeded to talk on the phone, text and write while driving. When he attempted to use his knees to steer the van while holding a phone to his ear and writing with his other hand I expressed concern which he ignored and then he pulled off and told us if we didn't feel safe to pay the fair and get out. We needed to catch a flight so we had to proceed rather than be left on the side of the road. When we got to the airport he got out of the cab holding a steel flashlight as a weapon to intimidate me as if because of our disagreement we would skip the fare. It was only my wife and I, so I felt that I needed to pay the fare and get safely away from this guy. I would say avoid using this company if you can. They don't have any concern with the passengers safety. Only in it for the huge fare they can charge to get people to and from the only regional airport near such an amazing part of the world. read more
