Early Wednesday morning I called M&R Plumbing, one of the few who are mentioned with a Yelp site, and with three positive reviews. I spoke with a nice guy (name? Travis maybe? Sorry.) He told me they were pretty booked, and it looked like a wait until next day was likely. I said OK as it was short notice. 10 minutes later, he called back saying they had just had a cancellation and could have someone there in 20 minutes. Justin arrived soon after and tore into the project with a happy vengeance. Like a dog with a new bone. He explained everything clearly that he was going to do, the likely costs, and got approvals. And like he said about 3 hours later I had a new and beautiful up to code system. Justin was quick, clean, precise, skilled, and did I mention quick? There was no running for parts, stopping for a smoke, or even coffee. He just got it done. How he moved the old one out, and the new one in place, I'll never know. He had to work in a small closet in the garage, two feet off the ground. He got the new one in, and even in a new pan to catch any future failures, cutting a drain pipe to the outside. All in all, a great job. I will not hesitate to call these folks again for anything. Very pleased. Job well done!

I hired Lewis Plumbing to repair a water line leak and was treated rudely by the plumber (James…read more -). He had a derogatory attitude and became defensive when I asked a question. He had to return to his shop 3 times to get the correct parts. When I requested a statement he said it would be provided AFTER i had paid? When I asked for a breakdown of the charges he said he could provide that but that he remained on the clock until I had paid. At 2:15 he said he could not complete the job that day, which was filling the hole with dirt, and would return in a couple of days. When I called the office the owner said she had heard about me and dismissed my concerns. I was very dissatisfied with the entire interaction and will not use them in the future.

I have had two negative experiences with Rising Sun Plumbing. They evaluated hot water heater…read moreproblems for me but could not identify any issues. So I asked them for a quote on a tankless hot water heater. They never followed up. Secondly, I had an appointment with them to fix a pipe leak. The appointment was made 4 weeks in advance to align my schedule with the only person they have on staff who could perform the work. They gave me a two hour window and never showed up. I called and left a message. They returned my call two days later saying that the employee had hurt his ankle on the previous call and so could not make my appointment. Well, I think he or someone could have made a courtesy call to me. Sure he was injured, but if he was back at work a couple of days later it seems he was not so incapacitated at the time that he could not have at least made a phone call. I'd also like to note that the lady who called me made a point of twice complaining that she had come in on her day off to return my call, as if I was inconveniencing her.
