    Carousel and permit istore

This park has everything you need for a nice day out in nature and maybe having a picnic w friends. This was my first time exploring this park in the Jamestown-High Point area and it has a lot of activities to keep you, your family, kids and friends busy and entertained. There are kayaks and canoes to rent at reasonable rates, fishing, hugh and small picnic shelters, a large lake for swimming/boating, a small beach area and even a carousel for kids and maybe adults if so inclined! Come check it out. It has plenty of parking and short concrete pathways, slides for the kids and probably more. If you want to fish the brick house can sell you a permit, you can fish from the bank or the pier. A win for the whole family including the family dog.

City lake is much more than a park on the lake. In the summer they have a huge, newly renovated pool, with water slides and lazy River. They have a play ground, with train rides for little kids, they offer canoe and kayak rentals. They have "shelters" to gather under with friends and family for a day parties and picnics. The shelters can be reserved through the parks department for a small fee. The park has dedicated running and biking areas, and accessing the greenway via a pedestrian bridge over the water. Great space to get out and enjoy nice weather in downtown!

Man what a pleasant surprise. We went to the water park today and it did not disappoint. They have slides and splash pads. Pools and kiddie areas. Entrance is $15 per person. They take a break every hour on the hour for 10 minutes which gives you time to regroup especially if you're watching a little one. I can't get over how well it's ran and how clean it was. Concessions are available and they don't price gouge you here.

This is an amazing park for fishing!! You can rent Jon Boats with electric motors for 30 dollars I believe. The rest of the park is very nice and walkable

A really nice park to go for lake activities, and especially for gatherings/events. This park should actually be more packed than it should. There are at LEAST a dozen of the picnic table/event areas that you can reserve - all open space and outdoor, fairly clean and nothing to be broken of any sort. Rentals include fishing boats, paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and even a tour boat. - all fairly and reasonable prices (I do know they kayak is $12/all day). The staff is very knowledgeable and safety is priority. They provide the paddles, life jackets, and whatever else equipment you need. Many trails are attached to this park and some are actual very delightful to hike. Not strenuous at all and for the most part, the trails encircle the lake. Summertime there are rides like the train as well as concessions. The biggest thing I wish they had/updated are their bathrooms...definitely not the cleanest and I wish there were more around the park.

After the long wait, it's finally open! They did an amazing job! The first parking lot is the same and I could see an additional parking lot on the other side of the building. When you first walk in, the snack booth is on the left and in front of you is a splash pad. Then a long, I guessing high school meet qualifying laned swimming pool! Three water slides, one cover, one open and the third let's you race an opponent for time! The toddler area looked pretty cool, plenty of stuff to play with. They is also a lazy River! During our visit, I saw three different sets of bathrooms around the area. Over all , I was VERY pleased with our visit. It's $10 high point residents and $15 I believe for everyone else.

This park is gem tucked away just inside of Jamestown. It boasts a miniature golf course, a train ride, a carousel, a playground, horseshoe pits and, coming in the summer of 2022, a ginormous public pool that includes giant slides! There are also plenty of picnic shelters located all over the park that can be rented out for parties, etc. Benches are sprinkled all over the property that are perfect for people watching (or just to get out of the sun and take a break). The park's concessions stand doesn't have a ton to offer, but it has enough to satisfy ( hot dogs, pop corn, pizza, ice creams, candy, water, canned sodas, slushies). It's a perfect place to spend an afternoon out with the kiddos!

Great park for the family. So many activities to do there such as kayaking, fishing, miniature golf, boat & train rides. There's also carousel and playground for the kids. It feels so nice, calm, and peaceful to be on the train ride with the breeze and seeing all the greens and lake. They also sell food and drinks there as well. Plenty of parking. I highly recommend this park. I would come here often if I live close by.

Great beach with lifeguards and lots of places to just sit and sun. Perfect for young swimmers.

The Waterpark is very clean and very entertaining for the entire family. My grandchildren would stay there all day if they could.

Pretty good place to go relax and take the kids out to enjoy nature. I normally go here to destress…read moreand go on walks.

If Greensboro and High Point can claim somewhere as a "central park" it would have to be the parks…read moreand rec complex created by the fusion of City Lake Park, Jamestown Park and Golf Course, the High Point Greenway, and the Piedmont Environmental Center converging together on this point. If you can't figure out a way to spend a day outside somewhere in all that, you might just not like the outdoors! The Piedmont Environmental Center serves as kind of a trailhead for the High Point Greenway, as well as a system of lakeside trails that run along city lake and the golf course. The welcome center is attractive on the outside, though decisively could use a facelift indoors. Still, it has what you need. Restrooms, vending, information and brochures, and even a small exhibit featuring native snakes and amphibians from the Piedmont. I never pass up a chance to check out some snakes, preferably behind glass like these. The trails make a great place for a light intensity hike, a simple nature walk, or just a place to walk the dog. On my visit, it was an overcast and cool day in early spring, so it's not quite time for peak visitors yet. I prefer this time of year, things are quiet and serene, and the trees are just starting to bloom. There is no shortage of signage along the trails, and ample places to make sure you clean up after your dog. Another note, if you're a Pokemon Go player, there are no less than 12(!) easy to access gyms at both the major hub around the visitor center, and then several along the trails, not to mention a litany of Pokestops. Please only read this information and follow it if you're on team Mystic. The rest of you can feel free to forget you read it. All of this is free, so get out and enjoy nature as North Carolina provides in abundance!
