This place was on an irregularly shaped tract of land that wasn't the easiest to find from the highway. Having located it, this is not a huge stretch, but it has some interesting thematic gardens and some quiet (albeit mosquito-filled) places to sit. Restrooms were blocked off by some people doing an impromptu dance rehearsal for some inexplicable reason, but normally would be available, as would the playground and ball field nearby. The place was not of the size and scope where I'd say you'd go out of your way to see it, but it is a nice community resource.

Beautiful place to visit! So much to see and learn. Throughout the park there are several learning opportunities. You can learn about different bees, different kind of grass and more. This place is also perfect for picnics or to take pictures. You can bring the children and they can enjoy two of playgrounds or basketball court!

This was a wonderful place and a wonderful walk. Coming from DC, I absolutely would not qualify it as an arboretum, but maybe I'm spoiled. It's more like a well manicured, colorful park for a delightful walk. You can take a slow walk through it within 1-2 hours, if you're casually plant perusing. Otherwise it's rather small. The plants largely have little signs identifying them. There's little nooks on offshoots from the main path. Delightful bridges. There's even some lovely colonies of mushrooms here and there. Very picturesque. There was even a bridal party taking photos when I was there (not at all obtrusive, though). Overall, I absolutely recommend it for walking, learning about plants to some extent, painting/drawing/journaling. But a couple stars off because it's not really an arboretum.

This place is cute and well taken care of, we were so glad that we were able to stop in here on our trip. They have some walkways that take you along, a vine covered path through one area and then a gazebo structure that had seating in it. We didn't go into the arboretum building there so I am not sure what it had in it. I would definitely recommend this since it was free and a great place to spend some time.

Beautiful park with great walking/jogging pathways. Nature lovers will truly enjoy the beautiful green lawns, blooming trees, and several places to picnic at. The Arboretum provides a relaxing and calming atmosphere that you will fall in love with. All you have to do is go for a beautiful pick me up.

This is one of the great benefits living in Greensboro, the parks and trail you can go to see. I love the varieties of plants, trees and flowers that all have signs and labels. The fountain, the gazebo, the biggest chimes, the sages under the big trees and all the benches are so perfect to sit down and just relax. This place is so peaceful, dog friendly and I always feel safe running/walking by myself.

Hugest wide chimes I've ever seen. Too bad they were silenced. I'm sure the neighbors need them that way.

Loved the trails here and explanations of the pollination gardens, combinations on plantings and native species. This is a great family place, green space with plenty of photo opportunities for butterflies. We saw a wedding party- great place for this. Nice walkable place.

This is such a beautiful place to visit! It's an easy walk through the garden and there are so many beautiful flowers and sights to see. The butterfly area is so nice and peaceful. It's all just breathtaking and I'm so glad I went to see it. A nice bonus is that the parking lot is right near the entrance and there is no admission charge. It's a nice place to visit by yourself or with a family. Please check out my blog to read more about my visit to the arboretum: https://practicallystacy.com/?p=430.

Don't know what kind of event or happening took place here and at the adjacent park around the basketball court Fri or Sat, but there was trash scattered over a number of different areas - lots of water bottles, food containers, etc. And there are trash cans all over the area. What a mess in a very nice area. Check the pictures! Stay classy, Greensboro!

I love this place. Absolutely gorgeous, almost felt euphoric in a way. Please go if you have time

Beautiful place for walking and taking pictures. Best times are in the fall and spring because of the leaves and flowers.

I love coming to the Arboretum when I'm in town, a little crowded during the warmer months but it's worth it. I love the wind-chimes !

The Arboretum was not in full bloom during the winter, so it was not impressive, but we enjoyed the layout and the walk.

Not a chance. Fill your homely heart with accessories for the desk and gifts for any friend. There is a giant wall of stickers spanning a range of subjects, but generally seeming to lean towards feminism and other more liberal themes. The selection of journals was what caught my eye the most of all. Don't forget the assortment of books, gift cards, and postcards. For the one-half greenhouse, it's another half paperie/stationery shop. For me, the prices were on the high side. That wouldn't stop me, of course, from snagging a journal and a pen in the future, though. It just so happens that, as an avid journaler, I already have a stack of blank journals patiently waiting their turn. The owners were friendly and even had a little dog roaming around happily going about its day. The plants were an inspiration, and now I want to propagate my own pothos into tiny little self-painted and designed pots rescued from the thrift store!
