This place is rich with history and is run by a former PGA Pro with a great staff. You can set up golf lessons if you are a complete golf newbie to get a few tips to start or if you want to just hone your golf skills. It's not just a rich mans sport. Their prices for me are ridiculously affordable and reasonable. It's a 9 hole course and you can even rent carts if you don't feel like walking. I am always on the fence about walking the course but renting a cart makes so much more sense and fun :-). It's a great way to play a quick game when you are in the area or just spend the day playing golf.

I hit it so quick it only climbed on me. After that point on I was shook. Then... there's a lone star tick on the caddy car and I killed it with my shoe. So many ticks. The weather this year killed a lot of the grass on every course I have played in NY and Nj. The tee boxes had a lot of crabgrass and bare patches. The tee boxes were in a little bit of rough shape with respect to dirt patches and crabgrass, but the fairways were in pretty good shape. Although the greens were a little slow (recently aerated), they were fair. The greens fees during the week including a cart were very reasonable. There are some carries over water and it would take a round or two to learn the course a little better. It looks like the club house had a fire or was vandalized at some years ago, but parts have been rebuilt. I would actually give the course 3 1/2 stars if I knew how to give a half star on Yelp. I will put this on my list to play again even though it is a little more than 1 hour away from my home.
