An MRI revealed a torn hip labrum, troublesome issues to say the least for someone who likes to play tennis 4-5x/week during the summer. I started seeing Sarah at The Posture People weekly over a 6-8 week period and she worked on creating some space through manual manipulation around the hip joint, showed me numerous exercises which i took home and worked on between appointments. As the season progressed, i went from having limited mobility and at risk of season-ending injury if I went down the wrong way on court (yes, rest was advised) to incredible improvement over the course of the summer. Sarah made me far more aware of my core and small exercises i could do to alleviate stiffness from sitting too long to stretches I could do at any time. I have gone back periodically for maintenance purposes and highly recommend the work that Sarah and her colleagues do at The Posture People.

When I asked Dr Hefner to approve me for a handicap placard, he balked. I could not believe it. I am stumbling and limping to perform my daily chores , shopping and going to work and he had the gall to say that the reason was He did not want to perjure himself. I wasn't asking the good Dr to perjured himself. This is a permanent condition that will only get worse. Surgery is for those who can afford it, I should not be obligated or held hostage to getting the surgery. Really really unacceptable. Not only are their portals insecure, they also don't care about their patients at ALL - the physical therapy department is a full blown scam. I reported them to anthem BCBS - I still am in treatment because of their neglect and abuse - they refused to work with me , and kicked me out of their practice when I asked why my insurance was denied , they just left out the part where they scammed my insurance until they couldn't scam it any more - never have I ever met a more low end receptionist who yells at people at their Wilton location. Total disregard for any patient , and if they just want to scam then be honest - .. they left me with a torn l5-s1 annular tear to my lumbar disc region; a torn bicep, torn rotator cuff, aggravated nerve damage to my pelvic region, neck stiffness, posture weakness and mental aggravation. Now I'm aggravated by the fact their portal had a leak and my phone and emails won't stop with scams! What a joke

But we do have control of how we treat it. I made a great decision with Professional Physical Therapy (PPT). Gea is a strong, poised, and capable therapist. She is quite sensitive to the nuances of the varying needs of her patients and responds with plans of acton suited to each person and the unique state they're in. She's done this with me and a pinched nerve I have in my neck with much success. You could say that every physical therapist is what I'm describing, but in my experience with a few different establishments throughout the years, this simply is not the case. The staff that has worked with me at PPT -- Christian, Sarah, Marvin, Amar -- have made my pain less painful by keeping visits enjoyable and helping me stay focused. With Gea, it's her empathy that stands out. And her unwavering confidence in herself, her colleagues, and me. I'm grateful for this. I'm certain I'm getting treated the right way and positive my pain will subside. I truly believe it. THAT is what separates Professional Physical Therapy from the rest. Highly recommend.

They have a very new, well lit space with a large variety of machines and equipment for therapy, as well as a number of private rooms for sessions. My therapist was very nice and helpful, who helped me try to get some pain relief. Ultimately, PT wasn't what my foot needed, but that's not their fault. He stayed with me through the whole process, referring me to a local pain management doctor (who ordered MRI, Xray and EMG study); reviewed my scans; and provided a personal referral to a top spine surgeon at HSS who is difficult to see. While awaiting surgery two months later (C4/C5 Cervical Discectomy Fusion), Jason provided nearly total pain relief to my arm with dry needle therapy every two weeks. That worked so well, I began questioning whether I actually needed surgery...but was assured by him (and my surgeon) that I did, to avoid permanent nerve damage and severe arm strength loss. I'm happy to report that my surgery was completed 10 days ago by Dr. McAnany at HSS in Stamford, and that I am recovering remarkably well. I highly recommend Jason and his team.
