The PT at HSS treats you individually for 30 minutes and is prompt and on time. At ONS My appt was 10:30 and I didn't see the PT for 20 minutes and I just sat there with a hot towel around my ankle. I kept asking where the PT was and they said she would be over shortly. She spent 10 minutes with me and gave me off to her assistant. When I asked what was the 4th exercise I did on my initial visit she said I have 24 patients and I don't know. I canceled all my other appointments and I'll return to HSS where I can get all my care by a PT. I know this is owned by a venture capitalist and the care is not great and rushed. I suggest you use HSS PT and not here!!!!

A week and a half later my knee still didn't feel right. I made an appointment to go to Dr. Cavallo. He was real thorough. After he did the test. He diagnosed me with a torn meniscus in my right knee, he even said you can get a second opinion if I would like. He does a lot of them, he him self has even had the surgery. I was very surprised since Stamford hospital was so off with my diagnosis. Dr. Cavallo actually did my surgery and I was very nervous because this was my first surgery. He put me at ease and did my surgery perfectly. Recovery was long and one of the toughest things I've had to do through no fault of his. I also started physical therapy in the same office with James Caroleo and he and his team who have also been wonderful. I would highly recommended Dr. Cavallo office for your orthopedic needs.

Based on SportsPlus's outstanding five-star ratings and its convenient location close to my home, I decided to give them a try, and I'm so glad I did. From my very first phone call through every visit, the entire team has made this a wonderful, positive experience. The front desk staff is always welcoming and professional, and the atmosphere makes me actually look forward to my appointments. They call me when something opens up knowing that I'm only walking distance away. My therapist, Carl, has been incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and gentle in his approach. After my total knee replacement only 3 weeks ago, he is still guiding me through every step of my recovery, and together we've made tremendous progress. I had been told by previous practitioners that I would never run again and that I would likely be in some level of continuous pain for the rest of my life. Since beginning treatment with Dr. Steinman and Hope (who are conveniently located in the same building in Norwalk), my back pain has been diminished to almost nothing. I exercise two to three hours per day, including running, without pain. Hope is a phenomenal physical therapist who cares deeply about her patients. She is intuitive, thoughtful, innovative, hardworking and demanding (and I say demanding as a positive, because if you truly want to get better, it takes work). As an example, I went to him a few years ago because I was feeling that my quads were weakening as I worked out instead of getting stronger. The more I worked them the weaker they got. He did a bunch of mobility tests and figured out that because of a hamstring injury 2 years prior I had adjusted and wasn't properly using my hamstrings and gluts. (It had been so long that I'd forgot I'd injured them until he started asking me about it...) He taught me some simple exercises to retrain my muscles and within weeks I was back in business. I've gone to him several times now over the last ten years and I am continually amazed at how skilled he is. They now use an app that shows me exactly what the exercises are and so I have easy access to them when I get home and I can make sure I'm doing them correctly. The team is incredibly professional and helpful (Thank you again for your help, Ali!). I've been to other places where they used stim so much it burned a hole in my leg. I've been to places where they are working with 4-5 people at a time and you wind up sitting around waiting. I've been to places where they do all kinds of different things but I don't get better. While awaiting surgery two months later (C4/C5 Cervical Discectomy Fusion), Jason provided nearly total pain relief to my arm with dry needle therapy every two weeks. That worked so well, I began questioning whether I actually needed surgery...but was assured by him (and my surgeon) that I did, to avoid permanent nerve damage and severe arm strength loss.
