I had literally seen seven physicians and thirteen physical therapists before meeting Hope and Dr. Stu Steinman. I had been told by previous practitioners that I would never run again and that I would likely be in some level of continuous pain for the rest of my life. Since beginning treatment with Dr. Steinman and Hope (who are conveniently located in the same building in Norwalk), my back pain has been diminished to almost nothing. I exercise two to three hours per day, including running, without pain. Hope is a phenomenal physical therapist who cares deeply about her patients. As an example, I went to him a few years ago because I was feeling that my quads were weakening as I worked out instead of getting stronger. The more I worked them the weaker they got. He did a bunch of mobility tests and figured out that because of a hamstring injury 2 years prior I had adjusted and wasn't properly using my hamstrings and gluts. (It had been so long that I'd forgot I'd injured them until he started asking me about it...) He taught me some simple exercises to retrain my muscles and within weeks I was back in business. I've gone to him several times now over the last ten years and I am continually amazed at how skilled he is. They now use an app that shows me exactly what the exercises are and so I have easy access to them when I get home and I can make sure I'm doing them correctly. The team is incredibly professional and helpful (Thank you again for your help, Ali!). I've been to other places where they used stim so much it burned a hole in my leg. I've been to places where they are working with 4-5 people at a time and you wind up sitting around waiting. I've been to places where they do all kinds of different things but I don't get better. These folks are far and away the best. Don't waste your time anywhere else.

Unfortunately, due to this, we felt this was absolutely not a safe place for our newborn. It's extremely unfortunate because I think natural medicine can work well and hand in hand with conventional medicine and I'm extremely sad we had to make this decision because I do think Dr. Sloves is good at what she does. When I told my PT that I wanted to include acupuncture in the recovery process, he was highly skeptical it would help at all. I found Dr. Bo and she told me it would take a certain number of sessions to bring down the inflammation and improve circulation in the foot and ankle area. Not only was she able to do that, it happened more quickly than she predicted, with noticeable results happening after the first 2 sessions. Even the PT was impressed. I'm grateful to have found her. Not only is she good from a results standpoint, she's also a ray of sunshine, eager to help and be a positive influence for healing.
