They are the ABSOLUTE BEST you could hope to hire. Clean and neat in everything they do. They came in and installed an octagonal in my foyer ceiling for me last year that is magnificent! I mean they do ridiculously GORGEOUS TRIM WORK that I can personally say is STUNNING as well as elegant. This year they repaired a staircase that was never finished by another carpenter and who no one would repair for me with missing and broken pieces and then they sanded it BY HAND! with a vacuum in the other hand! My staircase looks amazing. They also refaced my old builder stock kitchen and bathroom cabinets which gives them a custom, contemporary feel. Pulled out my horribly dated and plain old ugly floor baseboards made of tile and replaced with new baseboards matching the rest of my home. With their unbelievable eye for detail they also installed my hickory hardwood planks on the outside of my large island and it's so striking I just want to spend my day looking at it!!! I mean seriously, if you need anything, this team can do it and make it seem like it's an easy task. It's clean and quiet in my house and they are doing mini renovations in 3 bathrooms and the kitchen. I can't say enough about Touched By God Carpenters. I did get a chance to meet the son while painting who gave me his family's business card for other services they provide. A few years ago, my husband came up with this detailed plan for a coastal fireplace with a new mantel & shiplap. We reached out to a few businesses. We discussed our plans by email and in person with J.A. Painting & Decorations. Despite some minor language barriers, we felt comfortable going with them for this big project. The price was good as well. In the end, we bought a real wood mantel ourselves. They removed our builder grade fireplace and built a new fireplace for us based on exact picutures and measurements we provided them. Another business did the tile work. J.A. Painting & Decorations also added the shiplap accent wall behind our fireplace and on the side of our stair case. They also painted it white for us. I just started doing online reviews and wanted to circle back around and provide this review, although a few years late. We were extremely happy with the finished product. Miquel might be the best painter in the world!…read more He transformed my kitchen from the 1970's into a beautiful updated painted masterpiece. He removed 40 year old wallpaper that I tried to do on my own for 15+ hours with little success. He then painted my kitchen to perfection. After that job, I called him to do major sheetrock repair and painting on short notice. He finished the job in one afternoon even though it was a 2-3 day job (I needed it done immediately as the house was going on the market the next morning). Once again, the job was done perfectly. You could not see where the sheetrock was repaired and the paint job was perfect. All of the above at very reasonable prices. Miquel deserves a 10+ rating.
