It smells clean and the meals are hand crafted every day by Mack and Robyn. So much thought is put in every dish with bits of pumpkin and cottage cheese and if needed supplements. Phillip is the facilitator in delivering all meals and making sure everyone is nice and clean at all times. I could not believe how fast and gentle he is with all residents on board. I fell in love with Tommy and Lavinia as they are Neapolitan mastiffs. Sugar cakes and Samson are so adorable. Upon arrival we were not sure if our Cleo would be a good fit for her long stay due to military deployment. This unforeseen deployment was difficult to let go of our little loved Cleo. But! It was a perfect match made in heaven. We were moved in the positive energy Robyn, Mack and Phillip radiate. The open stretch of land and the view is just like heaven. So peaceful and of course you feel safe. LOL The thoughtfulness and unconditional love sugar-land Ranch offers to Military solders dogs is truly a blessing. A big shout of THANK YOU to all the sponsors that have contributed and have made this a reality! A special big THANK YOU to the honorable Ret. Col. Jack Logan that we had the honor of meeting in person. Additionally Robyn + Mack and Phillip are the super kids of America! With out no doubt in mind or soul I vouch a 110% high functioning non-profit that truly you can see the selfless act of love in its purest form.

I was idly surfing the Web a couple of years back, looking at dachshund photos, when I came across…read morea picture of a senior doxie with one of the sweetest faces I'd ever seen. I wasn't looking for another dog -- my husband and I already had three at home that we got from a breeder -- but I knew this dog, Grampy, was meant to be mine. And thus began our relationship with Dachshund Rescue of Northern California, who showed us the joy of bringing an older rescued dog into our lives and the many rewards that rescue brings. After completing an extremely detailed application and going through DRNC's thorough vetting process, they decided we would provide a good home for Grampy. His foster mother -- who herself has become an adopted daughter to us -- brought him over, and he slid effortlessly into our pack and our lives. We enjoyed him thoroughly, but tragically, after less than a year, Grampy developed a cardiac condition that took him from us much too soon. A week or so after Grampy died, though, DRNC called apologetically to ask if there was any chance we'd be interested in another dog; they had an urgent situation with a dog named Danny, who needed a home ASAP. So Danny, another senior, came to live with us. And finally, we took in a foster dog named Murphy, who lives with us now. I swear we meant to find him another home, but he's such a love we ended up keeping him. Through all of this we've gotten to know Monti and Robin, who run DRNC, quite well. They work tirelessly to save unwanted dachshunds, or dachshunds whose owners have died, or lost and unclaimed dachshunds, pulling them from animal control facilities, placing them with their network of foster families, and ultimately finding them permanent homes. They have a deep love for this exceptional breed and are committed to finding a loving home for every dog that passes through their rescue. They know this breed and are a wealth of information on health, diet, and temperament issues. They have a working relationship with a wonderful vet in the Chico/Paradise area and do everything they can to make sure the dogs they place are as healthy as possible. My husband and I are so grateful that my Web surfing that day brought these women into our lives, and we thank them when we can by providing transport, pulling dogs from animal control or owners who can't keep them, and making small monetary donations as we are able. There isn't anything we wouldn't do for DRNC, because there isn't anything DRNC wouldn't do for the countless dachshunds out there who need their help. I am happy to recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation!

One can not find more caring and concerned individuals looking out for the welfare of a dog. Any negative comments shared by a previous poster appears to have a personal agenda. I know for a fact DRNC goes to great measures looking after the health and best placement for a "forever home". After having had many wonderful dachshunds in my life previous to my current pet, I can attest to the fact my last adoption thru Monti is the best ever. Kudos and highest compliments go to this rescue group.

Both are happy, healthy, well-tempered, and honestly my little soul dogs. From start to finish, Kayla was amazing with communication. She kept me updated every step of the way with both puppies, answered every question I had, and made the entire process feel so easy and reassuring especially as someone who wanted everything done right. When I picked up my puppies, I was blown away by how prepared everything was. She provided a full puppy goodie bag with literally everything you could think of: detailed puppy folders with all health records, proof of genetic testing on the parents, family trees, first round of shots, deworming records, and so much more. On top of that, she included treats, puppy pads, toys, and even a blanket with their littermates' scent to help with the transition. It was clear how much care and intention she puts into her dogs. The little Whiskeytown Aussie bag was such a cute touch too. You can genuinely tell she loves what she does and truly cares about the puppies she raises and the families they go to. My experience was so incredible that I've had family members meet my dogs, fall in love, and end up getting their own puppies from her as well. 10,000/10 experience. I recommend her to absolutely everyone. I feel so lucky to have found her and to have my two best friends because of her.

This is a genetic disease that attacks their red blood cells, causing them to be lethargic, throwing up and peeing a copper color pigment. So if you got a Mini Aussie pup from her, litter number : ASDCA-M2503445. Sire: ASDM-CA-1800353, Dam: ASDT-CA-2203436. Date of birth 5/15/25. Be aware of your puppy if you got a puppy from this litter. I contacted the breeder and she hasn't responded. And we inquired about Soli, you can see that puppy on TikTok, but she's going to use her as a mom for a new litter of puppies, she could potentially have or pass on the gene of IMHA, please be aware. Poor Soli can have this illness triggered from her child birth. We didn't know he had it til he got neutered, a traumatic event like puppy birth can trigger it or even pass it on to other puppies. Response: genetics plays a part, I did not say it was a certainty, but their bloodline is more susceptible to this illness. My vet said otherwise, autoimmune diseases, are triggered but they are genetically predisposed.
