My concept was Medusa but with octopus tentacles. We gave her a lil Angler fish as a pet and I am OBSESSED with how it turned out. I love her so much. And I have already booked another appointment. I also recently let Rissa, the shop apprentice tattoo me. I chose her Party Pup that she had drawn previously. I aske to swap the color scheme that fits me better and she killed it. Two of my friends and I came in for a total of 6 piercings I…read moregot two snake bites My friend got an eyebrow piercing And the other got two angel bites and a vertical labret Since having my piercings done, I removed them the next day because I hated them so much Both of them were directly in the middle of my lip pretty much perfectly lined up with my two front teeth. That's how close together they were. And they were uneven one was placed directly on my lip line and one was below, so the jewelry didn't set evenly The friend who got the two angel bites and the Labret One of the angel bites was uneven as well and the vertical Labree was placed so high you can't see it when her lips are closed I understand that I could have changed the placement of the dots But in all honesty, I trusted the professional to place them I wasted my money and now I have to get them redone I wasn't planning on saying anything until I realized that I never received my ID back from them So I called and sure enough they had mine and my friends ID I would understand and take responsibility. Had it just been mine and maybe I forgot. But two ? That means they neglected to return them to us. And made no effort to contact us to return them I'm very upset with my experience

Notice the thinner line work, the non blending, the mouth is thicker on one side, the color itself is spotty the eyelash even looks off. I will be going into a different shop once it's healed to get it relined and the color fixed. This tattoo cost $150 Typically I do not write reviews, however I went in with my boyfriend and he impulsively paid for a tattoo he would receive the next day by Betty herself. He prepaid $700 (this included mine) once he received the drawing which is also in the photos and its more like Jafars lantern than a gothic vintage vibe we decided to not go with this shop. They are now REFUSING to give back his $500. (700-$150 my tattoo and $50 for his deposit/sketch) We are being RIPPED OFF for $500. And will be taking them to small claims court. Another nice woman tattooing said that the piercer hadn't arrived yet, but since we had an appointment she should be here soon.. appointment time comes and goes. Tattoo artist says piercer isn't answering her phone.. we waited almost half an hour over the appointment time and just ended up leaving. Thankful I hadn't paid yet, but upset that time was wasted. Unfortunately this is not the first time that this has happened (happened once before to me and once to a friend), unsure if it's the same piercer or what. Glad everyone was nice, shop was clean.. but just disappointed.

Showed them what i was interested in he went and talked to an artist named "Rafael." He drew up a design and it was really good. He took a little bit to make sure his work station was clean and safe. Right before he started the tattoo, he asked if I had any injuries so he could accommodate me so I would be comfortable through out the tattoo. Offered me a water. Rafael is very detailed and made sure that everything was done and didn't miss anything. He has a light touch. Rafael is very professional and I felt very comfortable. Other artists would go by and say Hi and stop and talk. I will be going back to Main Street Tattoo and Body Piercing in Merced from now on. Ask for "Rafael." I know I will be.

Got trolled so hard here…read more Called in to ask if they do walk ins and the price for ear piercings and gave the price $70 for piercings and studs and said walk ins are available so we agreed. Came in and I asked questions since I never got a piercing and didn't know the procedure but neither the receptionist nor piercer wasn't feeling it that day. Maybe I just caught them in a bad day but either way got my ears pierced quickly. However when I went to pay with my Apple Pay they said cash only AFTER I got my ears pierced and they never said anything on the phone. I asked if I can pay by credit card or Apple way and they pointed at an ATM that I couldn't withdraw money from (since I had no debit card). So since I only had a credit card and apply pay, I had to give up my drivers license and waste about an hour walking around to and back to a gas station that didn't do cash backs and Walgreens a mile away that I had to purchase twice and had a limit of $40 for cash. So after I walked all the way back in the Modesto summer in dress shoes (since I came from an interview) I asked them how should I pay the difference and showed me I can pay with... ...Venmo. ...and yeah, they just made me walk an hour in the blistering heat when I could've just venmoed them the whole time. It's a shame since the place was pretty cool and had a nice vibe to it. I debated on giving them like 2 or 3 stars cause they pierced my ears well but man walking in that Modesto heat for 1 hour in dress shoes to get cash I wasn't informed or needed was not the best experience. So yeah... TLDR: bring cash.
