After cleaning the vents and dryer and full dryer troubleshooting, we contacted At Your Service Pros (kudos to the Costco-dispatched tech for noticing the extremely hot circuit breaker). At Your Service was very flexible on appointment times, and one of their techs, Kyle, came out to service the home. Kyle reproduced and diagnosed the issue to the circuit breaker. Not only did he fix the circuit breaker, but he also noticed some of the wiring needed to be placed at the service panel, which he did as well. He also checked the other breakers while he was out there and made sure the dryer outlet was okay. Lo and behold, the dryer works perfectly now. Thanks Kyle and At Your Service for getting this issue fixed and for taking a larger look at the panel to make sure things look okay. He said $99-$175! ‍ So I put on Facebook any recommendations and got a one man show company that came and cleaned for $99 and no service charge fee. ‍‍‍ I do have to say when I called SOS to cancel my appointment to repair they waived the service charge fee after looking at my scenario so the company does have some good employees.

I want to be as kind as I can to this company, because I don't know exactly all the facts around my experience. but they quoted me for between a 4000 to 8000 dollar job, when the solution was a 50 dollar part. I live in Bluffdale, and I was just looking to do normal yearly maintenance on my A/C unit, I called the company, they answered were friendly and sent a guy out immediately. Good deal, the charge is only 20 bucks for the maintenance. I mention to the guy that this particular A/C unit has been tripping the breaker about once a day. He says he'll look into it. A couple hours later he has taken apart my entire system, let's me know that the compressor must have gone bad and that I will need to replace it, as well as most other parts of my A/C unit, I ask "Well... how much would that cost" "Well the part is about 1500, and then it's a 6 hour job, so it'll run you about 4-6k dollars or so, I can have a guy come out and give you an exact quote, but honestly it's not that much more to get the entire system replaced... that's 8000.." I wait, look into warranty and amazingly, i still have a warranty for the part! Good news! in the mean time I get several other quotes, one shop quotes me half that 4k price, that makes sense, 4000-1500 is about 2000 dollars, the price difference is somewhat small. the price guy arrives, asks a lot of personal questions and then says he'll run my quote, I inform him the good news! I get the part for free! could they get close to the price quoted earlier? Nope, 4000 dollars. well since I have that piece still warrantied, can you show me a breakdown of the prices for labor, parts etc? nope. can you tell me what unit you would install if I went with the 8k version? "honestly they are all the same" Ok, but can I get a price break down? nope. they were vary dismayed when I said I would get some other quotes. He also informed me that this has happened all over this neighborhood So I call another company, guy looks at it, looks at my breaker and says "I think the builder just added the wrong size breaker, and this one is warn down, I can get an electrician friend of mine out here to fix it, but your unit looks perfect". thanks Copper peaks. No fee for the consultation electrician comes over,"that'll be 50 dollars for the part, 150 for the house call" it's been working perfectly fine ever since. I don't know if this is an experience problem, but I do worry that this company has been wrongfully quoting newish home owners full replacements when they are not necessary. I had a bad experience with this company, and cannot recommend them.
