At the time I made that proposal, I had not yet consulted with an attorney and was not fully aware of my legal rights. My offer was made in good faith in an effort to resolve this dispute. FairClaims did not accept or respond to that proposal at the time, the company ghosted me for over a year. The amount I offered would not even cover the cost of correcting the installation deficiencies & hiring qualified contractors to complete the outstanding work that FairClaims was paid to perform. FairClaims requested mediation, and I responded with a good-faith settlement proposal in the hope of resolving this matter. If Fairclaims Roofing / FCR Services is a honest company, they would want to do right thing, They would agree to a fair and reasonable settlement: 1) refund for work they failed to do and incorrect installation 2) cover all repairs and all outstanding work, however, based on the unreasonable settlement offer I recently received, I do not believe that their request for mediation was made in good faith to resolve this dispute, If this matter proceeds to litigation, when I am successful, I intend to seek all damages and remedies available under applicable law, including attorney's fees, costs, and any other relief authorized by law including RCAT and DTPA claims.

Initially the transaction was superb, and we were really excited to own the beautiful home. We have more rooms within the house that leak due to a poor roofing subcontractor (Fairclaims Roofing) than we have dry rooms that has failed to remedy the situation in visiting the house and repairing it at least 8 times. Each time we paid for the visit to the roofing subcontractor the builder said they used. The owner, Justin, company came out a couple times but was as incompetent in recommending a fix and identifying the problem as the crew was installing the roof. His excuses were blaming it on the design of the house, the builder built this as a model home so the roof was not done with the right quality, and the builder was not willing to pay for the correct materials, etc. Moving forward from that mess we had independent roofing inspectors individually inspect the leaking areas and the entirety of the roof. Well, it comes to find out that our shingles would not even pass a warranty because the roof was not properly installed and the granularization of the shingles showed they were too old and improperly stored prior to installation. PLEASE NOTE: This was two different independent inspectors that noted the EXACT SAME THING.....you need a new roof due to the poor craftsmanship on the roof and how can you warranty something that was never done right in the first place.

They hold your storm damage photos hostage to pressure you into a contract. Find an honest local contractor instead. Total bait-and-switch scheme! This company advertises a 'Free Estimate' to get their foot in your door. But once they inspect the storm damage, they hold the estimate, photos, and videos hostage. They refuse to send the paperwork via email unless you meet them in person to sign a binding contract. A real free estimate doesn't require a signed contract. They are dishonest, shady, and unprofessional. Avoid them!

Some were higher, one was lower, but I went with Vizion because of the fact they are a family owned Texas based company and they have over 4 decades of experience in the Window Industry. From the initial meeting to the installation, it was a seamless experience, and this was during Covid, when material shortages were creating 8-10 month back orders.
